An error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedPlease give us the option to turn off all the annoying blue pop-ups.
I keep having to turn them off. Every day. Over and over.
I've used Indesign for decades — I really don't need this rubbish.Phantom Steve supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedI finally convinced one client to use Share for Review.
But then this happened and I had to tell them it wasn't working.
They won't try it again.
I'm not sure how long a critical bug takes to fix — but 2 months is too long.Phantom Steve supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedI have the same issues.
Please fix this urgently — this is supposed to be a working feature — now I have a 350-page document that I must struggle with.Another issue is that if I save a Book under a new name, all the documents in the "new" book no longer link to their comments. This seems bizarre as the actual INDD documents have not changed — only the name of the book.

To identify the cause of this issue, we started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the following: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2025(v20.0.0.095) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.
We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

AbhinavAn error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedI see this has been around for almost 2 years.
It would really be a great feature/ability.
Here's hoping it gets some attention.Phantom Steve supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedI like this - but how do you prevent the application of conflicting Character Styles ?
For example - how do you prevent the user applying a CS for Condensed Bold and a CS for Extended Bold at the same time ? -

The ability to find colors in documents in now available in InDesign’s latest release 16.0.
It can be found in a new tab of Find/Change dialog – Color.
Please let us know your feedback in comments.Regards,

Hello All,
Kindly provide more information about this ask. How do you plan to use the Action Panel in InDesign? Do you want it to work exactly like that in Photoshop? What are the most important actions/operations that you want to record?
Thanks
Abhinav Agarwal
Product Manger – InDesignAn error occurred while saving the comment Phantom Steve commentedMost of these requests can be achieved in InDesign as it is — without an actions panel.
Sorry, correction — for repeating and running FIND/CHANGE requests one after another you can get third-party add-ins or scripts to create multiple changes.
It would be nice if ID included a panel (similar to Multi-Find/Change — a third party add-in) to allow us to run GREP and TEXT queries one after another as a batch.
That's maybe what this request should be asking for.
Please make an option to turn these off.
It's the most irritating addition to any software i've ever experienced.
No problem if I can disable them — but I can't !!
