[ID-4264967] ExternalObject("lib:PlugPlugExternalObject") now throw an “I/O Error”
IOError: I/O error occurs when calling new ExternalObject("lib:\PlugPlugExternalObject") after updating to InDesign 20.4 on macOS 15.

This is unexpected. How does this get past Quality Control?
It's a major bug introduced by an update. You need to post a warning on the CC App.
Now I have to spend my time going back a version.Just to confirm — going back to 20.3.1 restores functionality.
