Export to Fixed Layout EPUB - Poor Image Quality
I am currently working on a graphic novel project that I am planning on submitting to apple books as an epub file. The files were created in adobe illustrator and subsequently, linked into adobe indesign to create the final published product. I have noticed that the image quality when exported to epub is far inferior to when that same file is exported to a pdf file. InDesign Beta (ARM64) The application was unable to start correctly(0xc0000142).
I'm using the new Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon X Elite – ARM64). I installed Creative Cloud ARM64 and InDesign Beta via official channels.
When I try to launch it, I get this error:

Update your Windows 11 to the latest version as the minimum supported version for 20.0 and above beta builds on Windows 11 is 24H2 (26100.1882).

Sharing InDesign Library files (*.indl)
Sharing InDesign Library files (*.indl) with others on my team.
I spoke with InDesign "folks" at the recent Adobe MAX conference in Miami, FL, and they suggested using the CC Library to share these files, but they are not allowed to be posted. This was the suggestion given to me at the conference/convention.
I need to be able to share access to these files (I have several libraries), but if I'm using InDesign, others can't even open them, much less get the content within.

Indesign quits after mac goes to sleep
Have to open In-Design (18.1) again (not sure if it's an actual crash) after the Mac (mini - Ventura (13.2.1) goes to sleep after an hour. Other Adobe programs don't do this.
Upon opening InDesign, it won't automatically open the Properties and Tool floating pallets even though it is marked to open under the Window drop down menu and that I've set it up that way before opening or creating a new file. The other floating pallets selected will show.

Window Explorer made unusable by opening InDesign

InDesign Ver. 20.5Here's an odd one. InDesign doesn't appear to be crashing or freezing, itself, but it is instead making my Windows explorer taskbar unusable. I can't select any icon pinned to it--they won't even highlight when I cursor over them--and only opening and closing the task manager will make them selectable again. I've tried to replicate this happening with other programs, but it's only happening when InDesign is made active.

Opening a document now causes lag for about 30 seconds, where I have no control
- Version of Adobe InDesign: 17.1
- Steps to reproduce the issues: a. Open document from the Mac Finder. (This lag happens whether I start with InDesign open or closed. b. I have zero control of anything while a progress indicator spins for about 30 seconds. c. A font error dialog pops up, and then I can finally control InDesign, starting by dismissing that dialog. Palette management is a nightmare. What happened?
M1 Macbook Pro connected to dual displays. Adobe user for 20+ years.
There seems to be no hope for palettes and window positions on Mac OS. I run multiple resolutions at different times based on the displays that are in use. Adobe apps are simply unable to maintain any palette and window locations. The application window moves to half the screen. The documents become dislodged from overall application frame. Palettes "jump" when I move them.

[15.0.2.323] Big problem with unrecognized user dictionaries
macOS 10.14.6 - multiple computers with us and with customers
We noticed today that extensive user dictionaries are recognized as such by the existing documents, but InDesign (current version) completely ignores them and thus incorrectly hyphens them.
In a special case, a very extensive user dictionary is linked as a symlink (alias) from the Dropbox into the corresponding Linguistics folder in Application Support / Adobe. So far, this worked wonderfully with all versions and has the advantage that adjustments are automatically distributed correctly via the Dropbox.

InDesign - Incorrect Spelling Field in SpellCheck NOT FIXED CC2018
The incorrect spelling field in spellcheck is still not fixed. I have had communication via twitter stating it has been and a screen shot showing difference between 2017 & 2018 releases.
It maybe slightly better but still not bright enough. This could be a very expensive issue if an incorrect spelling slips through.
Better still the field should be a different colour all together ie red text on white field background so this stands out as a possible error.

Can't rename object in 2022
Same issue like here, but posting this again to get a response to this, because the response below that post is a big joke. The admin assumes that the bug report is too stupid to rename an object. But the gif clearly shows that 1. the admin hat the window arranged differently and 2. in the gif with the bug you see the rename window flickering.
I did the work adobe should do and tested it a bit.
The result is different depending on if the windows is floating, docked or expanded. Float and expand works, dock not.

interactive pdf export hangs forever
ID 2023 won't finish the export to Interactive PDF task and hangs for minutes on the "finishing document" stage. It must then be force quit to continue. Cancelling the export doesn't work. Screenshot attached.

Alternate Layouts lost, names missing and out of order
I've had a reoccuring issue of InDesign documents with multiple alternate layouts 'losing' their layout names and placements.
I've attached a screenshot of what my alternate layouts should look like, and then again what they now look like.
InDesign no longer sees it as an alternate layout.This seems to happen some time after working in a file, or re-opening a file.
No updates have been made to InDesign between closing and re-opening these files.I'm on MacOS Sequoia 15.6

Id CC 2022 pdf export and assemblage issue + links not displaying correctly
Indesign, version 2022 17.2.1. / Mac Monterey version 12.3.1.
My file's links are not displaying correctly when viewing in high quality. Photos all appear black/gray streaked (see attached files).
They only display correctly when the display is standard.
Then, and this is the biggest problem, I can't export pdf or do assembly. When I try to export a pdf, I get the following error message: "This document contains links to files or URLs that are not accessible. Please check your network connectivity or the original source of the content."

Latest instead of the earliest version required in N-2 policy
Indesign 2024 is buggy on my 27" iMac running mac OS Big Sur. 2025 is not compatible. So I use 2023. Just after the introduction of ID2025, Indesign and Creative Cloud stopped working for some reason and after cleaning my system of Adobe files to have it running again, I only have access to 18.0 instead of the leatest 18.5.X. Why do we only get the earliest version 18.0 and not the latest version of the N-2? Can we get the most recent N-2 version? Thank you.

CEP HTML Engine
In Task Manager, "CEP HTML Engine" spawns a couple dozen instances--is that the cause of numerous crashes? We just installed InDesign (and CC) 2024 (v. 19.5.1) for testing on both Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise. InDesign is hanging when I do basic tasks: copy & paste, move a graphic frame, delete a paragraph. The only way to recover is by ending the task in Task Manager. These issues are happening on multiple PCs, and different files. Does Adobe do any testing with CC on Windows?

cant drag object
In the middle of working on a document and suddenly can't drag or duplicate objects (alt - drag).
Indesign is fully up to date. Windows 11.
I am so freaking sick of all of these bugs. I pay enough for these programs to not cause me so much wasted time. I'm so done. Anyone have a good alternative to Adobe that they like?
I see some old posts about people having this issue with Photoshop open. I do not have Photoshop open and haven't used it all day.

No frame edges for lines or ankerpoint visible anymore?
Problem: Line objects no longer have "frame edges" in the normal view! Lines without line thickness, white lines (which do not lie over a background), individual nodes are thus invisible in the layout!
To find slipped lines again or to find several rest fragments like single nodes again becomes a patience and search game!
The (line-) or frame edges appear only if you either select everything or if you move the mouse over the line or the single node randomly (mouseover). Simple is different!

Home Screen Displays Incorrect Last-Opened Dates
- v20.0
- During the beginning of a new month, navigate to the Home Screen where it will display thumbnail previews of recent projects with approximated last-opened dates.
- The approximated last-opened dates should match when the file was last accessed, regardless of the calendar date.
- That number is incorrectly showing all of my projects opened just days ago as showing "1 month ago," likely owing to it being a new month.
This issue is also present in Photoshop and I suspect all other Adobe apps.

Letters 'fl' become invisible

Paragraph style applied to text in text frame:
[No Paragraph Style] + next: [Same style] + Helvetica Narrow + Oblique +size: 10 pt + left indent: 0.4375 in + first indent: -0.125 - hyphenation + tint: 90% + list: bulletedWhen I type "cash flow" the fl both become invisible as soon as I type the 'l'. Does not happen with any other paragraph style. Does not show as being a different style or color or anything. Letters are still there because I can highlight the space they take up.
How can these become visible?
