Can't Rename Objects in Layers Panel on MacOS Big Sur
Adobe Indesign 16.1, macOS Big Sur 11.2.3
I cannot rename objects or layers in the layers panel. I've attached a video of the typical triple-click method and all you see is a quick flash of the editing mode but it is never actually able to be edited.

Hello there,
The way to rename in the Layers panel is to click once to highlight, then click again to rename.

Same issue. Admin response is a bad joke. The GIF shows that the panel is expanded, not docked. See this, you will see that it work's in 2 cases, but not when the layers menu is "docked". The original post by the way also shows that the window isn't set up like in the "solution"

Having same issue. Organization is a design fundamental that is being thwarted by Id. How is this issue persisting still? 16.2.1 MacOS Big Sur 11.4, Id v.16.3.2
