Point2: We have PDF corrections in figure group. While importing the PDF corrections in InDesign, the imported correction not placed to correction position as per PDF. It's moved to some other place.
Point3: We marked the deletion correction in PDF for entire sentence include period. But InDesign deleted the content only and not delete the period at end of the sentence.
Samples attached for all 3 points.

If there is white text on a colored background InDesign thinks there's nothing at all
If there's only white text on a page but this text has a colored "paragraph shading" ("Absatzschattierung" in German), InDesign does not recognize this color and thinks the page is still empty.
I reported this in the old "wish form" about four years ago: https://rainerklute.de/bug-report/
The dialogue shows a way to solve this but why is it not implemented?

Endnotes don't export to ePub
EPUB Export Endnotes with Hyperlinks
Version: InDesign CC 2019 – 14.0.3
Steps to Reproduce:
Use the endnote feature and in one of the endnotes (preferably after the first one), add a hyperlink.
Export the InDesign document to EPUB
Expected Result: All endnote references are hyperlinked and the numbers for each endnote are backlinked back to the reference.
Actual Result:
Endnote number is missing for all endnotes after the hyperlink that was added to the endnote and no linking occurs after the manual hyperlink. Indesign crashes.9 votes -
Links within linked Indesign files appear pixellated even if the links are updated.
Linked images within linked Indesign files appear pixelated, even if the links are updated. It's temporarily fixed by relinking the file – but it goes back to appearing pixelated when the file is reopened. This has only happened recently and has never been a problem in the past.

File Information won't close
When I open the File Information window to edit the metadata of a file, I can't close the window because the OK and close buttons are off the bottom of the screen.
When I try to resize the window, it will return to the size it is. In order to close it I have to restart InDesign!
Please sort this!

formatted text
- 14.0.2
- importing pdf comments that have bold and italic text in the replacement text
- that it would show as bold or italic in the pdf comment dialog box
- shows all text as none formatted
I can understanding it would be difficult to get that text to change to bold/italic when i click accept, but if i at least saw that it was bold/italic in the preview box i'd know to make that edit manually.

Data merge doesn't work with UTF-8 unicode file
DataMerge is failing to import UTF 8 text as Unicode.
- Create UTF 8 Text file for merging.
- Open previously functional InDesign document with keys already established.
- Select data source
- Choose text file (UTF8 no BOM) (if you have BOM, file isn't recognized)
- Tick show import options (never needed to do this before)
- Make sure its Unicode.
- Data still comes in in ASCII even though I chose Unicode. This has to be a merge problem because I can cut and paste the data into the InDesign file without issue.

InDesign 14 opening network files as read-only
We have been using InDesign for a while with files being stored on a network SMB share. on 4/4/19, after a few folks updated to 14.02, the Indesign and Incopy files are primarily only able to be opened as read-only.
Network server permissions have been verified and no other changes have occurred in our environment.
9 votesPlease help us with answers to the below queries:
1. OS version of the machine where issue is reproducible.
2.Are the files opened simultaneously by more than one user?
3. Does the same file which is opened as Read Only in Id 14.0.2, when opened in Id 14.0.1 opens fine?
4. Does remounting the SMB drive fixes the issue? -
Spellcheck not working
The Spellcheck tool does not work as of version 14.0.1
The spellcheck window pops open but "spellcheck complete"message appears. Clicking "start" does nothing. This happens in all documents. All the settings and user dictionary seem correct.I tried selecting all the options in the "search" dropdown menu but nothing works. Spellcheck simply won't start.
9 votesThe issue has been fixed in both the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021 & the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (15.1.2).
Please update to either of these versions of InDesign to get the fix.—

arabic harakats moving
Hi!
There is interesting bug with arabic letters. When we have aleef-lyam-aleef with harakats + footnote references with more than one symbol (from 1 to 9, no problem, 10+ or (1), problems starts) on the line, harakats swap together. Have tried with multiple fonts, most of them (adobe font too) got this error.
Tested this in 2014 and 2018 ME versions of Indesign.
Hope you can easily fix it, cause it's a real problem for book publishing.
Thank you!9 votesThank you for reporting the issue.

InDesign opens destination folder when exporting.
My InDesign opens the destination folder when exporting PDF-files. In my work I export files daily and I have to export them separately. So when I do this, after the export has completed successfully, the destination folder opens up automatically, which is very annoying. I can't seem to find any place, where I can turn this off. I can only turn it ON, if I don't export separately.
- brand new update CC 2019
- Create a document with more than 2 pages. Export all the pages separately.
- That it exports the pages separately into the destination folder without having the need to watch them in that folder (I use Bridge).
- It opens the destination folder in a new folder window.

Scaling of arrowheads on paths is so wrong
If I put an arrow head (or any other of the predefined startings/endings) on a path and scale it, it barlely changes the actuall size of the starting ending, even with crazy huge precentage changes, like 1% and 200%. See screenshot from InDesign CC 2019.

[ID-4261145] White Horizontal lines appear on InDesign Document after enabling "Overprint Preview"
InDesign CC 13.1 x64
In every document I open, everytime there's a single line in the top area of the document/artboard. It appears when you activate the
Overprint Preview with high quality. Then InDesign generates a thin white line 1px thick and 101px away from the top of the document. It
also keeps this position when I zoom in or out. Only if I begin to drag the view via the hand tool then the line is broken (obviously it
has some trouble to refresh complete).
The line generates on all pages no matter if there're images or graphics or text in the document on this page.I discover this problem on both mac (MacOS Sierra) and pc (Win7 Prof. SP1 64 Bit).
You can only avoid this error by activate the ruler. Then the line disappears completely.
This workaround could be ok for me but sometimes I want to review my creation in high quality without the rulers or anything else
disturbing my view.
But there's no way to do that. The white line is displayed also in the presantation view.InDesign CC 13.1 x64

Exporting to PNG file on network drive doesn't work
There appears to be a bug when exporting PNG files to network mapped drives in Mac OS X 10.13.4 (Darwin) Adobe InDesign 2018 (latest version).
This is in a domain environment using domain credentials. You export the file as PNG and it doesn't appear in the folder as expected. If I export to desktop it works fine, if I copy it from desktop to the share it copies fine. Just cannot export directly.
9 votesHello,
Can you confirm the InDesign version you are using? Is it 2018.1 or 2018?
I assume the path to which you are trying to export the PNG is /Volumes/Shares/011 Changed Information/002 Changed Information/00617 Changed Information/Changed/ ?Is this drive mounted via SMB?
Is it a NAS server? -
Preview bug, always scrambled
Preview is always messed up. Images attached, text is often spliced like this until I zoom in and out. Sometimes overprint preview helps but it's happening frequently and I can't see what my work looks like...

InDesign CC UI scaling problem on multiple monitors with different resolutions
InDesign Version: Adobe InDesign CC 13.1 x64
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro build 1709.
Monitors: Portrait orientated Dell U2415 24 inch (1200x1920) with 100% windows scale option and Landscape orientated Dell UP3216Q (3840x2160) with 150% (Recommended) scale.Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Open InDesign CC on the 32 inch monitor
2. Move all or some of the panels to the 24 inch monitorExpected result:
Panels in the 24 inch monitor should adapt to the resolution of the monitor the same way Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC does – crisp and nice.Actual result:
Panels don't adapt to monitor's resolution. If UI Scaling in InDesign preferences is turned ON and option scale to higher (or lower) supported scale factor is turned on, panels are slightly blurry. If UI scaling is turned OFF, then panels are way too small. All of this is due to improper scaling.Extra notes:
Please see my thread on forum with image previews –

[ID-4261148] Character style "Include Html Class" check box removes the whole tag
The "Include Classes in HTML" checkbox doesn't work for Character Styles. Whereas paragraph styles and object style export without the class, character styles actually export without the tag at all—losing any formatting for that style. This is the case both in HTML and EPUB export.

arabic
Cursor Direction when typing Arabic or other RTL languages. in Middle Eastern version ONLY.
All Middle Eastern versions (English يدعم العربية)
Type Arabic text. Place the cursor within text. Hold "Shift" key and click on right arrow key on the keyboard to select/highlight text. Cursor moves left and select next character on the left while clicking on right arrow.
To select a character to the left of the cursor, we should hold (Shift+left arrow) To select a character to the right of the cursor, we should hold (Shift+right arrow)
What actually is happening now and for over 20 years when we had Adobe PageMaker ME and Adobe Illustrator ME is the opposite cursor behavior to the what we're trying to select. We hold (Shift+right arrow) cursor will move and select text to the left, we hold (Shift+left arrow) cursor will move and select text to the right.
see animated GIF on InDesign forums here… https://forums.adobe.com/message/10174226#10174226
