1. high CPU usage version 17.2

   as referred in these posts there is a performance problem with indesign that coming from version 17.0 and still exist(version 17.2):

   No answer from Adobe , No fix , nothing unfortunately. It uses about 20 % of CPU when you open Indesign , it does not matter there is a document that is opened or not , it uses 20% of CPU all the time. non of other Adobe's 2022 apps have this weird problem.

2. resize document view

   I am using Indesign 17.2. When I try to resize the art board by clicking on the bottom right corner, the whole thing automatically becomes larger than my screen so that I have no way to adjust it from there.

   The uploaded image shows the bottom of my screen without any way to access the bottom of the document.

4. picture skin tones colour change to red when I import JPEGs

   Since I updated to ID 17.1, some colours in pictures – especially skin tones of blonde people – turn reddish, when I import them as JPEGs. Please find below an example of the same picture, saved as JPEG and as TIF (in PSD the colours are identical).

5. Place multi-page PDF pages: Place Gun will be unloaded after first page is placed to a frame

   New bug with InDesign 17.2 that I cannot see with InDesign 17.1.

   [1] Load multiple PDF pages from a multi-page PDF to the place gun.
   [2] Hover the loaded cursor over a graphic frame to place the first page in that frame
   [3] Click to place the first page.

   Result:
   The first page is placed to the frame

   BUG: The rest of the loaded PDF pages in the place gun are unloaded. The place gun is empty after you placed the first of several pages to a frame.

   WHAT WORKS:
   [1] Load multiple PDF pages from a multi-page PDF to the place gun.
   [2] Draw out new frames with the loaded cursor to place one page after another

6. wrap shape

   Every time I use "wrap around object shape" -- and it's a box or shape I've created within InDesign -- it crashed InDesign. Thankfully, it recovers well. If it's on an imported shape or something I actually draw with the pen too, it works as it should. But the crashing when it's a rounded rectangle is frustrating. I have to remember NOT to use it or do the keep aways differently.

7. UI scaling window problems

   There are numerous problems with the new UI Scaling Feature when it is set to any size other than the smallest. I've attached several screenshots and a screen recording.

   Screenshot 1: New document window. Toolbars slightly overlap the buttons and the ruler.
   Screenshot 2: On the right edge of the main window, there is a gap between it and the panels.
   Screenshot 3: Bottom of the main window has a white bar along the bottom.
   Screen recording: Panels that all collapsed down to an Icon or Icon/Name only don't pop up in the right position when you click on them.

   In all of these examples, the bigger the UI setting you pick, the bigger the problem becomes... bigger overlap, bigger gap, bigger white bar, etc etc.

   The other major problem is that the UI scaling is also scaling the view of the contents in the main window. For example, a Letter-sized document at 100% fits completely in the main window on the lowest UI setting, but at any larger UI setting, the same document no longer fits in the window unless I zoom to fit.

   There are numerous problems with the new UI Scaling Feature when it is set to any size other than the smallest. I've attached several screenshots and a screen recording.

8. Crash: Dynamic spelling with special word

   There is a crazy bug: when the dynamic spellcheck is active (German, Duden) and you are typing in a text frame hintereinanderherschlichen (it’s a German word) indesign crashed immediately.

   We don’t know why, but then, after the crash, and when the dynamic spell check is still active, InDesign crashes again when it tries to recover the document.

9. New Animate palette bug

   In InDesign 17.1.0.50 OSX, the Animate palette is smaller than its tools !
   In my screen capture, you can see 3 right points (transformation center points) that are so on the left that I cannot click on them.
   Even if I enlarge the palette, the 3 right points are still unusable, and it is the same when I I save the workspace and restart InDesign

10. My InDesign crashes when I use the quick apply shortcut (command enter).

    I use InDesign 17.1 2022 on M1 MacBook with macOS Monterey (all updated).

    Any document I'm working with, when I hit cmd+enter for quick apply, InDesign crashes. I've been sending crash reports but haven't got any feedback yet.
    it doesn't happen all the time but almost daily it crashes a few times like this.

12. object size and position options doesn't work as expected for grouped objects

    Currently if you use the size and position options in the object styles panel, it applies the x,y position to all objects individually in a group rather than to the group itself.

    Anchored objects currently handle grouped objects in the correct way. This feels like a bug/oversight.

    Would expect a group of objects to behave as 1 rather than being each item being treated individually within a group

13. Save as is greyed out, cannot save to computer

    When app is opened, document can be saved to the computer just once, after that 'save as' is greyed out.
    Using Indesign22 with Monterey. Am having the same issues with Illustrator 22 and Photoshop 22.

    Tried these already -

    1. Reset preferences.
    2. Removed Suitcase fusion and font doctor.
    3. Performed font cache and restarted computer.
    4. Validated fonts in font book.
    5. Installed 25.4.1 version of A but same issue. (Illustrator)
    6. Current Ai version is 26.1. (Illustrator)
    7. Issue is with creating new files. But same happens with old files.

    However, the swipe gesture function works normally in IOS-based browsers, but does not work in Android-based browsers (Chrome).

    Very inconvenient for Android based customers/clients.

    To go to the next page, touch the bottom of the screen to bring up the navigation menu/button that disappears every time, and then press the "next page button". The customer/client should repeat this behavior on every page.

    This is a very serious bug and must be fixed asap.

    I've tested it on several Android mobile devices, and the bug is the same.

16. color swatch

    1. Adobe Indesign 2022
    2. Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts>Panel Menus>Color: Add to Swatches>Assign a hotkey. Select a color and use the hotkey to assign a color in the InDesign document, and it will 100% of the time crash the program.
    3. Expected result is to have the selected color swatch created in your swatch library.
    4. InDesign will crash/close.

17. Safe a file or .PDF with MacOS Monterey 12.3

    Updated my iMac (late 2015) to MacOS Monterey 12.3. now i can't safe a Adobe file and can't make a .PDF file…!

    i can't work like this! have to put an older iMac version on it again…
    Waiting for a fast update to correct this issue!

18. "Tool" Keyboard Shortcuts (W, A, V, Spacebar Hand Toggle, "Shift+W") Not Working

    ONLY the "Tool" keyboard shortcuts such as "W", "A", "V", the "Spacebar" Hand Toggle, and "Shift+W" are not working. All other keyboard shortcuts involving "CTRL" or "ALT" work just fine. It is the same on my Photoshop as well. I am using the "default" keyboard shortcuts in the preferences. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Indesign, and restarting the machine multiple times, opening InDesign with no other programs open, and other numerous solves on other treads.

    My keyboard is not the issue, I am using a remote desktop for work and all of these shortcuts work fine on my local windows machine, but when I switch to my virtual machine they do not work.

    Every once in a while, if I press the spacebar the hand tool will flicker on and turn back off immediately.

    I am running on InDesign 17.1, Windows 10, x64, 24GB RAM

19. Opening a document now causes lag for about 30 seconds, where I have no control

    1. Version of Adobe InDesign: 17.1
    2. Steps to reproduce the issues: a. Open document from the Mac Finder. (This lag happens whether I start with InDesign open or closed. b. I have zero control of anything while a progress indicator spins for about 30 seconds. c. A font error dialog pops up, and then I can finally control InDesign, starting by dismissing that dialog. Expected result: I expect instant control of InDesign, since my computer isn't that old and it's a pro model. Actual result: Slowness, lag - way too much, considering most of my documents are 8 pages long with maybe 30 or so links to placed graphics... The test file I'm attaching has a bunch of master pages and a bunch of embedded graphics, but the thing is, it used to be that there was no lag with this document... Now there's lag. That's an issue. 20. Bug: overwriting embedded objects with not embedded ones keeps them imbedded

    Indesign CC 2022, v17.
    Steps to reproduce :
    1. open two documents which have the same linked file (image) embedded
    2. edit the image outside of ID.
    3. relink the file in one of two documents, so it becomes unembedded
    4. copy the unembedded file to the other document, overwriting the same, but still embedded object/image.

    Exprect result: the object in the target document should not be embedded anymore and it should be up-to-date.

    What happens: depending on how the files is placed (inside a table cell or not) ID will only mark it as "it has been changed" by the yellow triangle or overwrite, but keep it embedded. If it shows the yellow triangle and since it's considered as embedded by ID, it cannot be updated (update button locked), which keeps the yellow triangle showing and overlaying the symbol for embedded objects so you don't know whether it's still embedded or not, until you right-click and find the "Unembed file" option.

    Note: this doesn't happen in 14.0.3.
