  1. Crash after sleep mode external drive OS X - lost network vonnection (Indesign only!)

    After getting awake from sleep mode Indesign will constantly (and only Indesign!) crash because of a lost network connection!

  2. Space Bar Shortcut for Hand Tool frequently stops working (MacOS)

    About once a week I find that the hand tool shortcut stops working.
    Restarting InDesign doesn't resolve the issue, however restarting the computer does.

    Space bar continues to work in all other capacities (including as a spacebar, as I'm experiencing the bug right now and yet still able to add spaces into this text box)

    macOS Big Sur 11.6.7
    (Not updating to Monterey due to cloud services bugs in the operating system)

  4. Share for Review: 404 Error, I'm the owner but receive no access

    I have hundreds of share for review links that all don't work anymore, neither for me nor externals. They all end up at 404. When I open the indd, I get the message that I'm not permitted to create or update a review link because I'm not the owner — I am. I've tried logging out and back in but that didn't help. My indesign is fully up to date at version 17.3.

  6. Indesign - main navigation menu glitch

    When I hover my mouse over any of the main nav items (file or edit or layout etc.). and click the menu does not appear. When I click a second time it appears but does not allow me to browse down to select any items - them menu items disappear as soon as I move my mouse. This happens on tool menu items too such as the links window menu. It doesn't do it all the time, but say 1 in 4 times I open indesign. Super frustrating - any one else have this bug/ issue?

  7. Indesign and Illustrator latest version unusable

    I’m very angry because the latest version of indesign (17.3) is virtually unusable. If I select an image or text box on a layout I get a spinning wheel for 10 - 15 seconds. If I try to move something - spinning wheel 10-15 seconds. Even Adobe Illustrator 26.4 behave this way.

    I downgraded to indesign 16.4.2 and Illustrator 25.4.6 because I cannot work this way. Previous versions did not behave this way on this same condition and computer.

  8. Actual Size Error

    It shows 20% larger when the actual size is at 100%. When the View Size is at 80%, it gives an image close to 100%. Command + 1 (⌘ + 1) brings the screen to 100%, but the dimensions are wrong.

  9. Make GIFs great again

    • Allow a preview of a live GIF while designing - currently when it is placed into a deck it is static and only reviewable by publishing online.

    • Allow a choice of the GIF thumbnail that becomes the still image when an offline version is downloaded. Currently I'm at the mercy of whatever the very first frame is in the entire GIF sequence.

    • Better yet, make Adobe Reader able to play gifs so the 'offline' version doesn't have to be a compromise of the original intention.

  10. Text with multiple tabs set to glyph scaling 95% is warped

    Version: InDesign 17.3

    Steps to reproduce: create a text frame 101*15 mm
    copy/paste the following text "ABCDEFG AT 00:00 | ABCEFG abcdefg of the ABCDEFGH" (note that there are multiple tabs and spaces)
    set the paragraph style as shown in screen-shot "style"
    expected result: text should not be warped
    actual result: text is warped
    note: if the glyph scaling is set to 100% then this issue does not happen

  14. European characters recognized as Kanjis in composite fonts

    I'm editing a Chinese document containing certain European characters such as ē and í.
    I've created a composite font that uses Roboto for numbers and latin alphabets, and Noto Sans CJK for the Chinese characters.

    Recently I noticed some of the European characters are incorrectly recognized as Kanjis, and are set to Noto Sans CJK instead of Roboto.

    By testing my composite font settings, I confirmed that these misbehaving characters are being recognized as Kanjis (the top row in the composite font window).

  15. Paragraph Borders appearing incorrectly between paragraphs at top/bottom of page

    InDesign 17.3 (2022) running on an Apple M1 chip

    When several adjacent paragraphs have the same border settings, the treatment of borders at the top/bottom of the page vary depending on whether the pages break BETWEEN paragraphs, or WITHIN paragraphs. They should function the same.

    In the attached screenshot, query-bordersappearing.png is incorrect (ACTUAL RESULT).

    The rules should disappear as seen in query-bordersnotappearing.png (EXPECTED RESULT, even if the page break falls between paragraphs).

  16. Deactivate start page setting is missing

    Under gobal settings there are 2 checkboxes missing:
    - show startpage if no document...
    - use old open dialog

    Deinstallation and new InDesign installation brought nothing.
    What could be the reason?

  17. Menu drop down

    My drop down menus do not work, they will open after double clicking and holding down on second click, but any secondary menus will not open. I'm using Mac OS Monterey 12.4, and InDesign 17.3.

  19. Having issues updating files which are published online.

    Hi there, I am having problems trying to amend (override) an already 'published online' indesign file. I really liked the capability of this function as it means that other sites where my file is embedded, do not need to be updated and I can go directly to the source without the html link changing. Version 17.3

  20. Application Window 'resizes to bottom-half of screen' after waking Mac from sleep.

    There is an issue with Adobe apps while using Mac M1 with an external monitor. When put in sleep, the windows and palettes move to the bottom half of the screen.

    There are comments on this thread that confirm
