Export an Indesign file with conditional text settings as an idml file and open the idml file in the InDesign application.Expected result
Conditional text settings are applied to the same paragraphs and texts as the InDesign file from which the idml was exported.Actual result
Conditional text settings are applied to unexpected paragraphs and texts! Seems like this only happens when one or more of the condition is displayed and does not happens when all the conditions are hidden...

Numbering restarts from 1 after an unnumbered style in exported html
- InDesign 18.1 (since 17.2.1)
- Create a numbered list paragraph, insert a line of a different paragraph style not containing numbers, continue the numbered list on the next line, the number continues from the previous list. Export this file to an html file.
- Expect the number to follow what we see in the InDesign file
- The number restarts from 1 after the inserted line of a different paragraph style

Objects drawn with Pen tool (including paths for text) disappear when placed over Photoshop file—text wrap is NOT the issue.
As a children's book designer, I often type on paths, and almost always place text over images. Everything was fine until InDesign's February 2023 update. Now, anything I draw with a pen tool on my text layer—shapes, or paths for type—are invisible, unless I turn off the image layer below it. Note that text wrap for the image is turned off. Text wrap is not the issue!

split layout view, copy, paste, undo, paste without formatting, crash
Reproducable crash in InDesign when working in split layout view.
1) move to split layout view
2) copy text from right window
3) Ctrl V in left window
4) Ctrl Z to undo
5) Ctrl-Shift V to paste without formatting
6) crash (the expected result here obviously being InDesign not crashing but pasting the text without formatting).Filed multiple reports from these crashes.

Unable to resize textbox from bottom
The Open Type option prevents us to resize the box from the bottom, which is annoying. Please move it slightly off-center. Thank you.

Ventura Indesign file not found
I have a number of files when I double click them to open, I get an error saying "<file name> not found. If I make a copy of the file, I can then open it. I don't know it that's an InDesign issue or a Ventura issue.

Table & mixed inks on InDesign 18.1
I created a group of mixed inks from 2 Pantones (432 and 2995) in 10% increments (121 shades in total).
I create a table with alternate backgrounds (FPGP2995 shades 1 and 12). Everything's good. But when I select the first line to change it to shade 121, it systematically puts it at 20%! And if I change the percentage, it selects PFGP2995, i.e. the ink group...and the line stays white! I am attaching screenshots.

Une integration du PDF comme pour Adobe Illustrator
Je me demande pourquoi la lecture PDF peut être faite à partir d'un fichier AI, alors que ce n'est pas le cas sur indesign. ce serait pratique pour le travail à distance. il faut que le fichier PDF soit à jour, alors que le fichier indesign a pu évoluer.

Indesign quits after mac goes to sleep
Have to open In-Design (18.1) again (not sure if it's an actual crash) after the Mac (mini - Ventura (13.2.1) goes to sleep after an hour. Other Adobe programs don't do this.
Upon opening InDesign, it won't automatically open the Properties and Tool floating pallets even though it is marked to open under the Window drop down menu and that I've set it up that way before opening or creating a new file. The other floating pallets selected will show.

problem of distorted previews even though their link is correct
I am on indesign 18.1. Mac OS ventura 13.1.
I have a problem displaying the images once I re-open my document. They appear stretched and refuse to export the pdf. The image links are correct and I have not moved the images from their original location. I have to manually update the links each time for the pdf to work. Can you help me?2 votes -

日本語縦組みの後注で、欧文が意図せずに回転してしまいます。正常に表示されていても、いつのまにか回転しています。また、スクリーンには正常に表示されていても、PDFに書き出すと回転していることが多々あります。

For some reason, Liza Cap Pro is not loading - it is showing it is active, but not showing as a valid font. Please help.

dropped math characters in imported eps files
InDesign CC 18.1 x64 sometimes drops characters in math imported as EPS files on export to PDF. This is similar to an earlier problem that appeared after an update when none of the EPS files would print. This problem seems to correct itself when the file is re-exported, but not always. Editing the imported EPS with MathType also seems to correct it. The file missing characters and the correct file are uploaded for comparison.

"Paste into" not working in Layout Split View
When the layout view is split and you copy something and try to "Paste into", the option doesn't appear. You have to exit split view and toggle it again so it works.

'manage extensions' not in 'help' dropdown
The extensions option is not showing in the "help" menu. When I go to the Help Menu there is no "Manage Extensions" option. Please provide troubleshooting steps as I need to load a local extension into inDesign. email QR Codes don't work with MATMSG formatting
InDesign 18.1 on Mac OS 13.2.1 Ventura - Data merge for email QR codes specifically doesn't work, and your documentation is frankly non-existent. Using the MATMSG format doesn't produce a working QR with Data Merge, but using HTML format mailto in Plain Text does. I'm sure I'll run into the wrong version VCARD problem soon, too.
This is consistent using the MATMSG format in a .csv with data Merge. Using the manual entry isn't a workable option due to the quantity of codes being generated.

Extensions option not showing in "Window" menu
The extensions option is not showing in the "Window" menu. When I go to Edit-> Menu I can see it as a visible option, but it does not show up. Please provide troubleshooting steps as I need to load a local extension into inDesign.
