1. 'Use Spacing' *STILL* not working for multiple pages using Page Tool

   1. Indesign Beta v 18.9
   2. Turn off Facing pages and deselect 'Allow pages to shuffle'

   • create multiple pages and then 'attach' one to another, by clicking and dragging a page alongside another in the pages panel, until you see the grey 'hook' then release it, so they stick together.

   • Now select multiple pages using the Page tool and the 'Use Spacing' option appears at the top. Type in a number, say, 50mm

   1. Expected result: All pages move 50mm away from each other, and you should be able to attach as many pages together as required for the task

   2. Actual result: everything stays the same, no spacing between 'artboards/pages' is automatically inserted, and you can only attach 10 pages together.

   NOTES:
   • I was hoping this issue was resolved in Beta.

   • I've tried 3 different computers (MacBook Pro M1 Max, iMac 2017 5k, MacBook Pro 15inch 2015) and doesn't work on any of them.

   It's a feature that would save a lot of designers working with Point of sale and event exhibition design, to be able to organise 'artboards/pages' directly in InDesign.

2. The Tiny Line Occured When Applied the Drop Shadow, Outer Glow Effect to Text

3. Embed Image Blocks not supported in PublishingOnline

   Adobe Indesign CC 2023 (18.1)

   I recently wanted to create a more immersive viewing experience of my 3D designs by inserting holographic image blocks as an embed in a PublishOnline document (if you haven't seen this excellent technology you should check out "LookingGlass" https://blocks.glass/).

   While testing this out I've run into a problem with the publishing of the document. Using the "Object/Insert HTML" and pasting the Image Block's embed code:

   everything works great while in Indesign (screenshot of the EPUB preview), but after publishing the image blocks turn grey while giving the error message: "The content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue". I also tried exporting it as an interactive PDF which didn't work either.

   After inspecting the publication it seems that Adobe only supports a handful of URLs for embeds on published sites (see screenshot), and image blocks might not be one of them.

   Still, I would love to see this problem fixed, both for Publishing Online as well as interactive PDF if possible, as it all seems to be working perfectly fine in the preview window before publishing.

4. Character control panel is cut off

   The Character panel is currently cut off, so I can't change the font easily like I want to. I restarted InDesign as well as my computer but so far no luck.

5. Shift+Enter (Num-Pad) no longer opens a file with options

   Up to InDesign 2022 one had the possibility to open/place a file with additional options by hitting Shift+Enter (NumPad), instead of checking the box "open with options". Shift+Click on Open still works.

6. addidtionl layer(s) are invisible in embedded INDD

   The objects on layers except the main layer are invisible if you place the indd document in another indd document. If you move the object to the main layer and refresh the link they are visible again. PDF export is not effected by this.

7. Page Tool 'Use Spacing' does not affect pages, then crashes

   As you can see from the screenshot, the use spacing option does not affect pages at all. I've got about 39mm of space between each page, tried typing 5mm and they don't move, even though it displays as 5mm.

   No matter how many pages are selected with the Page Tool option, nothing changes.

   Previously had a problem with the page align tool, but managed to fix it by resetting Indesign Preferences.

   This didn't fix the 'Use Spacing' option though, and after a few times of typing various numbers into the box, it crashes.

   Any patches to help with this?

8. Typesetting changes on paragraphs that are not touched

   while working on texts - like doing corrections or micro typopraphy – InDesign changes the line breaks to other paragraphs that I am not working on.
   On the same page, but when I work on details sometimes I zoom and do not see that things are changing. This often causes changes to several pages and I need to fix everything back!

9. JPG exports render horizontal "rips" in the image

   Exporting an image as a jpg is bugged and renders horizontal rips in the image. Easily seen in this photo of power lines. Compare with a png-export which looks fine.

   InDesign 17.4 on MacOS 12.6.3

10. Random display issue

    ID on a Apple M1 Max (OS 12.6) occasionally and randomly makes crazy displays. It is resolved when I quit and reopen the file, but still…

    First image is what the document should look like. Second image is what it becomes. Kinda cool, but not my intent.

11. Generating traceable and dynamic QR codes

    Currently, creating codes with InDesign is very simple, but limiting. In fact, it is not possible to trace the code or modify it once it is printed.

    To create dynamic QR codes, with modifiable links after printing, it is necessary to rely on third-party websites, such as QR code generator, which however requires a paid subscription.

    If instead we simply want to trace a link, we can upload it to BITLY... but always outside Adobe.

    It would be useful to have all this already included in Adobe, maintaining the ease of creation, the possibility of modifying the link once your account is still printed, and having more security, avoiding external sites. Additionally, the same function could be replicated in Illustrato

    Eine Volltonfarbe, z.B. Pantone, ist in InDesign bereits angelegt. Die Darstellung der Farbe ist in LAB.

    Wenn ich nun ein EPS (aus Adobe Illustrator) mit der gleichen Pantone-Farbe importiere, dann springt die Darstellung der Farbe von LAB auf CMYK um und wird dadurch wesentlich schlechter.

    Das geschieht auch mit anderen Farben, z.B. ANPA.

14. [ID-4245422]Underlines are drawn in the space left by "danraku jisage".

    When I use "danraku jisage " in the "mojigumi akiryou settei" , an underline is underlined in the empty space at the beginning of a line.
    Since there are no characters in the empty space, it is correct that underlines are not underlined in the same way as when indentation is used to lower the line.

    「文字組みアキ量設定」で「段落字下げ」を行ったとき、行頭の空いている部分にも下線が引かれてしまう。
    空いている部分には文字はないので、インデントで下げたときと同じように、下線は引かれないのが正しい。

15. dark interface &

    Appearance dark theme not matching the settings or OS. I selected dark theme but pasteboard and window top bar light grey. It should be uniform dark.

    Other issue is workspaces often does not show up after launching app requiring me to select a workspace other than my custom setting to show up on screen and only then can I select my custom workspace to have it show up. If I select my custom workspace right away after launch when no windows or tools show up nothing happens the screen stays without any panels or tools. Clearly a bug

    The only thing that does work on the extended numeric keypad is the + and - keys.

18. Quick Action 'edit with' not working with creative cloud files

    Normally I can quickly edit the placed PSD-files in Photoshop with option-click. But with the PSDC-files this option no longer works. From the Quick Options menu there are no apps under the 'edit with' menu. If the files are on the computer, it works fine.
    Will this option also be available for PSD files that are in the Creative Cloud?
