Buttons do not work in Indesign
Certain buttons aren't working in Indesign. E.g. I can't click into the preflight panel, or the pop-up comes up for a millisecond, too fast for me to click into it. This is happening with the Preflight panel, the 'align to' button in the Alignment panel, and other toggles like it. Incredibly frustrating. I've tried restarting but the issue persists.

Nonbreaking Space shortcut doesn't work on mac
The shortcut for the "Nonbreaking Space" (option+command+X) doesn't work anymore in Indesign 2023 (and 2022). Clearing cache and preferences didn't fix it.

PDFs Export to Google Drive as 0 Bytes, for Anyone on MacOS Ventura
Sometime in approximately late January 2023, my workgroup began having difficulty exporting PDFs from InDesign to our Google Drive. The PDF files appear on the Drive but as 0 bytes and can't be opened/viewed from the Chrome side of the Drive. We have isolated the problem as specific to anyone who is on MacOS Ventura. We believe the problem stems from a late January/early February upgrade to either the Google Drive, InDesign or Ventura (or perhaps a perfect storm combo of all three). Pages panel thumbnail resolution
When InDesign 2022 (17.0) came out, the resolution of the thumbnails in the Pages panel was lowered, even with Display Performance set to High Quality Display. It's not just the greeking of the text. I can see the pixels themselves.
This forces me to still have to use InDesign 2021 so that I can see the contents of the pages in the thumbnails.

Copy and Paste error InDesign Mac
If you start a line with a figure space and copy the paragraph and paste the paragraph the figure space is removed from the copied paragraph. The paragraph starts with the first character.

Sudden Crash
Just had a first - highlighting text in a table to edit it and without any warning the app shut down - Automatic Recovery worked but it has happened three times now. First time I was in View Bleed mode (never been a problem before) and then twice in normal view mode

Color Picker causes InDesign to Crash
Every time I try to use the eyedrop Color Picker tool in InDesign it causes InDesign to crash and close. It will not allow me to drag the eyedropper to pick up a color, and if I try to drag the eyedropper it makes the color box freeze to where I cannot click "Ok" or "Cancel" and I need to press the "Esc" button on my keyboard to get out of the color box. Shortly after closing the color box, InDesign will crash and close. I have tried updating InDesign to the newest version, turning on/off my computer multiple times,…

- do a screen recording
- attach a test file
- mention the OS version, InDesign version.
Put the screen recording and test file in a shared drive and share the location of the same with us.

IDML export ruins vertical Rulers on Masterpages
Bug.
Placed vertical Rulers on right handed Masterpage are jumping to the left handed Masterpage saved as idml.
Need to be fixed.

Shift scroll Horizontal ctrl scroll zoom
On nearly every program I have ever used, Shift + scroll = horizontal scrolling, and Ctrl + scroll = zoom. I would like there to be a way to adjust this to make page navigation much faster and easier for me.

spelling checker word is off-centered in box
There's a bug in latest update for InDesign — spell check — the word that is identified as possibly misspelled is not centered in the box (screen capture attached below).

Visual ghosting on stage
Hello,
I have had some issues (possibly since the last update) with visual "ghosting" artifacts. Use to be, it would have been an issue with the refresh rate of a monitor, or not having the latest Nvidia graphics card update, but neither of these appears to be the issue.
I'm open to some recs to fix this issue. Please see the image for a clearer explanation of the problem.
And yes, when I move the stage/the issue, visibility does go back to normal.

Whenever i adjust a layer or move an object the screen glitches and disturbs.

eyedropper tool not sampling correct color or images color.
Eye dropper tool has not been working in InDesign properly for weeks FIX YOUR ****. I cant take colors from images. IDK what it is doing specifically but it only seems like it is sampling text properties and solids not images. Its working perfectly fine in photoshop and Illustrator just not InDesign. Should not be encountering such a simple bug on a paid service

W switch between normal and bleed mode
Pressing W switch between normal and bleed mode and not between normal and preview mode for this specific document.
And sometimes no shortcut is working for this INDD.

Layout Adjustment Moves Anchored Frames
Layout adjustment moves anchored frames vertically even when the anchor is set relative to the text baseline and the text baseline doesn't move.
***Worse still, the shifted frames also DO NOT SHOW AS OVERRIDDEN even though their position no longer matches the settings in the object style applied to the frame.

Cursor continually freezes, Indesign auto shortens swatches pane
Glitch happens at random intervals, but so frequently that it's becoming maddening. Right now it's happening every 30 seconds to a minute, seriously F'ng my workflow today.
M1 MacBook Pro, occurs whether I'm using my Wacom tablet (often I blame this first). It seemed to have happened after the last updated, along with an accompanying issue where I have to continually reset my workspace if I disconnect/connect to an external monitor. If I don't reset my workspace, Indesign refuses to show any tool panels.

Welcome screen has a trypophobia trigger image
The image in the top row, 2nd from the right, can be a visual trigger for people with trypophobia like myself. It is a small thing but something that can be easily fixed so I figured I'd write!
