1. Fit frame to content creates duplicate text boxes

   Indesign 16.4 on Mac 10.15.3
   Selecting multiple text boxes and hitting "fit frame to content" causes all text boxes to duplicate.

2. Data merge Unicode not working

   Hi everyone,

   I'm experimenting some issue with data merge.
   When I try to import a CSV file using Unicode UTF-8 (I'm using Apple Number to do that) inDesign simply ignored encodage and brought many undesirable characters to my import.
   I tried to fix that enabling option when importing CSV file, but if I change from ASCII to Unicode nothing happens.

3. 文字入力ウィンドウの位置が悪い

5. Find Format and Change Format option unavailable in Find/Change-文字種変換

   Version : Adobe InDesign 2021(ver.16.0.1 ja_JP)
   OS : macOS10.15.6

   1.Steps to reproduce the issues
   1. Open Find/Change Window.
   2. Select "文字種変換" and click "Specify attributes to Find" and Select Style button.
   3. The selected Style does not shown in "Find Format" area and we can't apply it. However, click the button, we can see selected Style we selected previouse step.
   4. The Change Format in "文字種変換" also unavailable.

   2.Expected result
   The selected style is displayed correctly in Find Style area and is correctly apply.
   Also, the replacement style is set correctly in Change Style and replaced as well like InDesign 2021.

   1. Actual result We can't set Find Format and Change Format options in "文字種変換" in Find/Change window. Test file, screenshot, video or GIF capturing the issue (optional)

   1.検索と置換ウィンドウを開きます。
   2.「文字種変換」を選択し、「検索形式」をクリックして、「検索する属性を指定」ボタンをクリックします。
   3.選択したスタイルが検索形式のエリアに表示されず、適用できません。ただし、再度「検索する属性を指定」ボタンをクリックすると、前の手順で選択したスタイルが表示されます。
   4.「置換形式」のスタイルも利用できません。

   2.期待される結果
   InDesign2021と同様に、選択したスタイルが「検索形式」エリアに正しく表示され、検索対象として正しく機能する。また、「置換形式」も同様に設定できて正しく置換が行える。

   3.実際の結果
   「検索と置換」ウィンドウの「文字種変換」で「フォーマットの検索」および「フォーマットの変更」オプションを設定することはできません。

6. Dreamweaver and Indesign allocating all available memory

   I have an M1 iMac (8gb ram and 256 SSD) no matter how small or big the project I'm working on is, after about 10mins it takes over 90% of all available memory! Although I have adjusted to saving and quitting after every 10mins, I would love for this not to be an issue in the first place.

   Details: I open the application to work on school projects. Some projects as small as 1 spread and only text (no images) and some over 10 pages with many images. The bigger projects cap out memory around the same time as the smaller ones. I turn down display graphics and even try using CPU preview instead of GPU, this does nothing to the performance. Indesign works great with no buffers and is incredibly smooth up until the very moment the macOS brings up the dialogue screen that asks me to force quit applications to avoid computer damage.

8. Child masters don't update

   I have child masters that are based on a parent master. When I update margins etc on the parent, the child masters are not inheriting those settings as they do in InDesign 2021. The only resolution appears to be changing 'based on' to something else, and then going back and changing 'based on' to its original parent.

9. Justifying frame or change leading causes text to change

   This is happening from time to time. The hyphenation of the word inside the red stroke is removed simply by setting the text frame vertical justfication to 'Justify' or by changing the leading of the paragraph. These modifications should not mess with the text and hyphenation. When this happens, in certain circumstances, it changes the number of lines of the paragraph (see prints), causing the whole story to reflow.

10. Can't Rename Objects in Layers Panel on MacOS Big Sur

    Adobe Indesign 16.1, macOS Big Sur 11.2.3

    I cannot rename objects or layers in the layers panel. I've attached a video of the typical triple-click method and all you see is a quick flash of the editing mode but it is never actually able to be edited.

11. Share for review - Filters don't work for those who commented

    When I filter by a reviewer, I only get the edits that were posted first by that person. If they commented on someone else's edit, the filter will not pull those up.

12. Adjust layout without resizing anchored objects

    With the Adjust Layout feature activated, if I resize the margins of a page or apply a master page with different margins, anchored objects on the page end up getting resized. I have even had some anchored objects disappear completely (although the anchors are still there). I want to be able to adjust the main text frame on a page to the new margins WITHOUT changing the anchored objects, which are part of the text flow and should not be changed.

    For example, in designing a book, I want to apply a certain master page to pages with chapter headings. But if there is an image or graphic anchored in the text below the chapter title, that will also get resized when the master page is applied. This is not what I want, and it creates a lot more work rather than making things easier. Could there be an option to leave anchored objects alone when adjusting the layout? Thank you.

13. Command + N doesn't work for New Document

    For some unknown reason CMD + N has stopped working as a shortcut for a new document. In the File menu, it says it's programmed as a shortcut, but it doesn't work. I reset the shortcut and it temporarily works. If I open INDD and reset the shortcut, then it'll work when I use it. But if I close INDD and then try Cmd +N, it won't work. I've reset it numerous times. I've lost count of how many times INDD has updated. And nothing fixes this problem.

    Currently working on the latest version of INDD (16.1). This problem has been persistent for many versions though.

16. JPG 300dpi export with horizontal lines

    When I export photo albums as JPG with the latest version, some images have horizontal lines. I've had the problem since macOS 10.14. (now catalina) and with older Indesign versions. If I change the size or position of the image, the stripes may disappear. If I use the DPI e.g. set to 301, the lines will also disappear.

17. Pages palette not populating

    imac 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Using 2nd admin, InD files from 1st admin not populating Pages palette. Page icons appear but are blank.
    100pp magazine with many images prepped for offset printing.
    However 1st admin InD files with only text pages open fine in 2nd admin.

19. Type vanishes once edited in text boxes

    Following update of OS to Monterey 12.0.1 and using InDesign 2022 17.0.1, opening files that had been previously created, when editing text within text boxes, as soon as I click elsewhere then the text within the box vanishes - as thought there's not enough room for it, when there is.
    Sometimes clicking back on it causes it to reappear, sometimes the box just won't return as a visible element.
