1. 'manage extensions' not in 'help' dropdown

   The extensions option is not showing in the "help" menu. When I go to the Help Menu there is no "Manage Extensions" option. Please provide troubleshooting steps as I need to load a local extension into inDesign. 3. custom text frame justification bug

   Hebrew text *but duplicated with english text)
   When using a custom text frame there is a variable sized gap between the right margin and the start of the text line

   Expected result: text goes from right to left margins
   Actual result: There is a gap on the right side

4. Hyperlink bug: hyperlink format is spilling over to other paragraphs

   There is a bug with the Hyperlink format in my Incopy Version 16.4.1 running on Mac OS 12.6.3:
   1) I am inserting a Hyperlink in my Incopy document. It is then shown in blue, underlined, Times New Roman. See screenshot.
   2) Next I am formatting it as "ohne" Zeichenformat (German) in order to have it in the same format as the other text.
   3) I close the file (check in) and open it again (check out).
   4) Suddenly, the remainder of the the text is formatted in Hyperlink format. This is a bug.

5. Duplicated AllPageItems collection when nesting Table inside another Table

   1 create new blank document, 1 page, no primary textframe
   2 creatte empty TextFrame,
   3 insert Table [2x2],
   4 insert another Table [2x2] to the 1st table - into 1st cell,
   5 insert another Table [2x2] to the 2nd table - into 1st cell,
   6 now insert image into 3rd table - from step 5 - as InLine object after a space - so the cell is not converted into Graphics cell,
   7 run script:

7. Japanese paragraph composer adds space after

   Issue: After changing paragraph composer to Japanese Paragraph Composer, text shows space after larger than setting. Space-after persists when set to 0 (zero).

8. Opening a file with missing fonts freezes InDesign

   Opening a file that has missing fonts freezes InDesign for a minute or so. Every document with missing fonts does this. If I manually activate the font and then try opening the same document again, there is no freeze.

   InDesign 17.2.1, macOS Monterey (latest)
   My coworker is on Catalina and has the same freeze too.

10. Incorrect cursor movement when selecting text

    There is an annoying bug when selecting the text: extending the selection is working incorrectly.
    To reproduce:
    1. Select a word with the mouse. Make sure the word is in the middle of the text. Select the characters from left to right
    2. Now Shift+Left Arrow modifies the BEGINNING of the text, instead of the END.
    Why is this a bug?
    Open any other text editing software and see the difference: when selecting text with the mouse, the cursor is placed where the mouse button is released. If selecting from left to right, then pressing Shift+Arrow keys, will shrink/grow the selection AT THE END. Indesign is not following this rule, Shift+Arrows grow/shrink the BEGINNING of the text, despite, the mouse button was released at the end.

    In indesign, selecting text often selects the whitespace after. Then the user tries to deselect the trailing whitespace by hitting Shift+Left arrow - bang, the leading white space is also selected!

12. Cell object is null!

    I get the third merged cell as null. Why is that?

14. Font not working after InDesign 17.2 upgrade

    The font "AlteHaasGroteskBold" worked with the previous version of InDesign. It is open in FontExplorer X Pro (7.3.0) and works in Illustrator and Photoshop (current versions).

15. tool panel/character panel disappears

    Since INDesign 2023 my tool bar and character panels occasionally disappear. When I click out of the app and then come back to it later. They aren't there. When I go to the Window menu, I can get them back, but this is happening a few times a day and is an annoyance.

    Never had that in 15 years of InDesign.

    p.s. It happened once in Photoshop too!

16. Wrong hyphenation Spanish

    Indesign 2023 Spanish hyphenation is wrong.

    Some words starting with "des-" are hyphenated after "des-" and should be hyphenated after "de-". Example of right hyphenation:

    • desempeño > de - sem - pe - ño
    • desagradecido> de - sa -gra - de - ci -do
    • destilar> des - ti - lar

    This problem has appeared in last versions of indesign.

17. InDesign 2023 crashes when opening older InDesign files

    Can't open older version files in InDesign 2023. Using Microsoft Office 2016 64-Bit Edition (yes, I know we're really behind in our operating system). It looks like it's going to open the file, and then it crashes InDesign. Have tried restarting, re-installing InDesign and no go. Have even tried saving the old file as an IDML mark-up file and it still won't open.

18. Moving to the next page lag and sometimes doesn't even happen

    When I scroll to the next page the display doesn't change, it stays as the page I was originally on. Sometimes I have to close the document and reopen to access the page I want.

19. Buttons do not work in Indesign

    Certain buttons aren't working in Indesign. E.g. I can't click into the preflight panel, or the pop-up comes up for a millisecond, too fast for me to click into it. This is happening with the Preflight panel, the 'align to' button in the Alignment panel, and other toggles like it. Incredibly frustrating. I've tried restarting but the issue persists.
