2. Find/Replace text (date) after using Convert Date to Text function

   I am trying to replace text in multiple stories throughout the document. Each story is formatted with text and tabs (not a table). The find/change uses the FIND/CHANGE>TEXT option. I am searching for "28 May 2025" to change it to "2 July 2025". When I search, find, find/change, and change all, the results append the page number in triplicate in front of the leading date digit. For example, page 9 (attached) is "0909092 July 2025" and page 42 is "4242422 July 2025". When I copied the text to include in this report (see attached), only date date is captured in the clipboard (2 July 20v25).

   The reason I was doing this is I wanted to change the date to a output date Text Variable. I had hoped text variables were part of find change: the find is available in GREP, but not in the Change To options.

   So, just prior to producing the error above, I added the Output Date in the position I wanted. I could not copy the variable and use it in the Change To field, so I used the Covert Variable to Text that one instance of the output date. I copied the text '2 July 2025", and used the basic Find/Change>Text intending to change "28 May 2025" to change it to "2 July 2025". That's when ID appends the six digits that are three pairs of the page number.

   Everything works as planned if I duplicate the original document, and repeating the process leaving out the Convert to Text option.

3. No me permite ver la previsualizacion al crear un nuevo lienzo.

   Quiero crear un nuevo proyecto y al configurar tamaños, márgenes, etc, acepto ver la previsualización y no me la muestra.
   Además, al terminar de crear la configuración del proyecto, me quedo esperando a que aparezca el lienzo para trabajar, y nunca aparece. No entiendo que pasa.

5. Still getting blank screen after sleep on MacOS Apple Silicon

   ID 20.4.1. Been getting this issue on and off, by far OFF, for over a year now. After sleep with app open, returning to current work renders a blank screen, AND no green yellow red window icons which happens less often but has been happening for years and years.

6. shift-click to deselect is not working

   Shift-click to deselect is not working: Drag to select multiple objects, then shift-click on one of them to deselect from the set, and it deselects ALL EXCEPT the one object you were intending to deselect! Just happened after updating to InD 20.4.1 MacOS.

7. InDesign version 20.4.1: The Y coordinates for lines are the same with the top edge and the bottom.

   See attached video. I'm also having trouble updating Creative Cloud despite following every recommended fix, including repair. It won't let me delete it unless I also delete every Adobe product. VERY frustrating.

8. Bug: tint remains when applying a different swatch

   Indesign 2025, v20.2, Windows 11
   Steps to reproduce:
   1. Have at leat two swatches in the swatches panel. The 1st with, for instance, 20% tint and the 2nd with 100%
   2. Type some text and select it, then apply the swatch with the 20% tint.
   3. Then apply the other swatch.
   Result: the text isn't display in the color of the 2nd swatch, because the tint is not changed to 100%

9. Where is the link to online Files in Creative Cloud Desktop?

   Up until recently, when I shared InDesign files, I was able to open the CC Desktop app, go to Files > Files, and there would be a direct link to my online files. That very convenient feature has disappeared completely. My workaround has been to add an internet shortcut to my Windows Explorer files.

   I have been told that it was removed because of problems on the backend with InDesign, but if that were the case, then I would have also been able to access that direct link in CC Desktop for files shared from Photoshop or Illustrator. It's bad enough that the Acrobat files are in a completely different area, but I've gotten used to that.

   Am I the only one that finds myself needing to view the online version of a review file instead of just relying on the comments I can see in InDesign?

10. When Application Frame is Turned Off, News Windows Size Behind GUI/Tools

    I'm one of the many users that doesn't like the Application Frame in either Illustrator or InDesign because I usually like to drag&drop things or switch between applications on my Mac as I work creatively.

    I hate that when a new window is generated (opening a file or creating a new one) it is sized beyond the size of my laptop screen and always BEHIND my docked tools in both Illustrator and InDesign software. Photoshop has the sense not to do this so whats going on with these other tools???

    I have to drag the new window over just to get to a corner and scale it back down to match my work environment every single time. Really frustrating and it seems like such an easy fix. Please, please let's do a little QA for UX and UI on these 2 important tools. I would truly appreciate that and so would a large number of your other user-base, I'm sure.

13. InDesign Kerning Bug – Incorrect Character Spacing Display

    I have a bug to report in InDesign (possibly Illustrator). I have already addressed this issue in the community forum, where it has been confirmed by others, so it is not just affecting me:

    There are display errors when adjusting kerning, making precise work impossible. (Kerning is intended for fine-tuning.) When setting the kerning between two characters, the spacing of other characters also visually changes. Please refer to the video for details.

    This issue occurs with both optical and metric kerning, at all zoom levels, on Windows 11 and Windows 10. Even setting the display to high quality does not resolve the issue.

    Using the hotkeys Command > Z to undo constantly brings up a tour of the History window. Don't want to use it or I would already and am really over it telling me to. Please how do I stop the prompt?

17. Separations Preview is not displaying any values

    EDIT:
    I appear to have resolved the issue by uninstalling some Dell software that was pre-installed on my workstation. Why or how that would interfere with InDesign I have no idea but colour this resolved.

    I'm having an issue with the Separations Preview panel not showing any percentage values, it's just blank. I think it started after updating from 20.3 to 20.3.1; but I installed versions back to 19.0 to test and it strangely seems to be effecting those versions too.

    Widows 11, all updates current.

    A web search showed this issue has popped up in that past and I follow the advice given (deleting caches fixed it for one).
    I've deleted caches
    Reset preferences
    Uninstalled/reinstalled
    etc.

    Nothing so far has fixed the issue.

18. "Open Recent" broken in 20.4

    EDIT 2:

    I updated this post to say it was resolved after I removed some dell software which also fixed an issue I had with the Separations Preview panel. However, I forgot that I had reverted to 20.3 - after updating again to 20.4 this is still an issue.

    I thought this might be something to do with the new GPU performance feature but it happens with it disabled.

19. paragraph style override with archivo font

    I have setup a set of paragraph styles with different usage, but all of them can't be applied to my document. It keeps on giving me archivo black which is not the setting. During setup, all of them works well, but once applied to new textbox, regardless of what font that i chose, it will only give me archivo black font

20. DA NUOVO DOCUMENTO CAMBIA FORMATO UNA VOLTA IMPOSTATO

    Ci sono una serie di bug irrisolti da tempo:
    Cambio di formato.
    Se si scrive del testo in un nuovo documento in automatico scrive con colore registro e non solo nero
    Indesign è lento a selezionare le finestre di testo o immagini utilizzando un mac di ultimissima generazione con 16 gb di ram
    Si blocca diverse volte in fase di impostazione nuovo documento
    sistemate per cortesia che è da mesi che ci sono questi problemi
