1. As part of my partners Master Collection cs5.5 she cant open InDesign as its says:

   My partner cant load up her InDesignCS5.5 as part of her Master Collection.

   We've tried to reload software but don't want to keep doing it and wasting licensed uses.

   The error it generates it captured below in attachment:

   Its says entry point not be located in the dynamic link library... WORLDREADY.RPLN

   Is she missing a plug-in?

3. Datamerge

   Version: Indesign CC 2017.1. Same behaviour in both Windows 7 and El Capitan 10.11.6.

   Steps to reproduce: Create a layout file and a tab delimited text file like the ones seen on the info images.

   Expected result: A pdf with the same data as the text file and preview.

   Actual result: A pdf with its first record correct, but the following two incorrect. See description image.

   Solutions/workarounds

   1. Decrease the column names number of characters and/or make sure no placeholder has overset text (used solution).

   2. Create a merged document. The values seem to work as expected then (this solution was not possible in my case).

   Misc info

   Although making sure there are no overset text frames seems to fix the problem there were many text frames like that in the actual layout, and all except one of them worked as expected. The data itself fit the frames without any problem and no overset warning is shown after the export.

   Provided are the actual test files as well. Se file ”datamergebug_files.zip”.

   A really nasty bug since the preview should definitely not differ from the actual output.

4. Placing and Moving Images Changes Opacity

   If I place an image and then try to move it within the bounding box, the opacity appears to change to around 50%. However, the opacity is still set to 100%. I can correct it by hitting Undo which reverts the image back to normal. From what I can tell, it is only a visual bug. Exporting the image doesn't show the change in opacity.

   I haven't been able to reproduce this issue consistently but would say it happens around 80% of the time I try to move an image. Another interesting thing is that if the issue happens and I duplicate the image and change it's opacity, the original image reverts to normal again.

   Hence, we have fixed this issue inside our latest release “InDesign CC2018”. Please try it out.

"End of life" should mean when new operating systems won't support it, not when you arbitrarily decide to kill it. I purchased that program outright and at significant cost, and you just stole it from me. I've always admired Adobe products but everyone involved with your business models should be ashamed of themselves. I plan to make my case against you LOUDLY on social media and in any other way I can.

6. Right to Left paragraph tool

   I've got a ME supporting CC but the 2017 versions of pretty much every Adobe program I've encountered is faulty when it comes to middle east features... even when it has support, it's very hard to find.

   My InDesign supports world-ready single lines and I even somehow managed to get the right-to-left/left-to-right icons on my paragraph window, but after re-installing InDesign, I lost it and I can't get it back.

   Please make this easier to use. It's very hard for middle eastern-character using people to work like this.

7. Glyphs disappeared

   While editing a document all my my Greek glyphs disappeared. I am able to find and use them in other programs, however I cannot find them in InDesign. I put hours of work into this and it's gone.

8. "Keep with next" hasn't been working at all

   "Keep with next" hasn't worked for a long time. It's completely unusable. It doesn't matter if I select "all lines in paragraph" or "at start/end."

   Also, selecting "start a paragraph in the next column" doesn't work either. The text styled that way does not go to the next column; it appears as overset text.

11. Can't change page after selecting an XML node, until setting focus to the main page area

    Summary: After selecting a node in the XML tree, double-clicking any of the page thumbnails or master page thumbnails has no effect. The page won't change until I click on the main page area.
    Steps to reproduce (in Windows):
    1. With a document open in Indesign CC, open the XML Structure pane.
    2. Double click on any of the page thumnails in the "Pages" palette.
    Expected result: I exepct the page to load, that I double clicked.
    Actual result: Nothing happens.

13. InDesign online help lacks an important point (bug in help text, not in the app)

    You should mention in the online help text at https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/using/frames-objects.html#object_export_options_cc_cs6_cs5_5 that a vector object's alt text will not be included in the epub file unless you also set the export settings to rasterize the object. (Basically: you can't include a vector object to an epub file in a vector format. Not even it's alt text.)

14. The order of Arabic digits is reversed when changing their character direction

    1. Adobe InDesign CC 2017.1
    2. Create a textbox, type Arabic characters including some digits. Change character direction from 'Default' to 'Right to Left'.
    3. Arabic letters are RTL, but Arabic digits are written LTR; So when you change character direction to RTL, they should be in their right direction.
    4. Letters are RTL, but digits are reversed. The problem is that Arabic script is written RTL, but its digits' direction is LTR. Just like when you move caret and logically it moves in correct direction.

16. Persistent startup screen

    When opening old ID documents frequently the startup screen hangs on the main screen. This happens specially after missing images, plug-ins an fonts warnings. Have to quit and relaunch ID...

17. guide color white page and pasteboard color yellow

    This is happened three times now. The guides appear on the screen is white even though there specified color in preferences still the default. The white areas on the screen such as the page and pasteboard color is light yellow.

    The first time resetting the preferences fixed it. The second time it did not but re-profiling the monitor did. The third time neither fixed it and after rebooting InDesign gave me the "configuration error", "error 16".

    I followed the instructions for this error that I found here:

    Since this happened InDesign seems to be less stable and before and has crashed on me several times when I was quitting the program.

    The next time the error occurs I will attempt to get a screenshot.

    Mac Pro, OSX 10.11.6, InDesign 12.0.0.81 (And no I will not update InDesign to see if this fixes the issue)

18. Export PDF: document bleed values unreadable

    With interface theme "medium darker" (i.e. the second darkest option) the values of the bleed settings are unreadable in "Export PDF" dialog, when "use document bleed settings" is enabled.
