  2. [InCopy] is very slow with some projects, even on a very fast Computer

    We often see a pretty significant drop in performance in InCopy for no apparent reason. This seems to occur on random Projects. As far as i could test there was no correlation with the number of InCopy Files or the complexity of the layout.

  3. overlay panel

    Adobe InDesign CC 2017, Mac

    I want to do an autoplay slideshow with the overlays panel, but the panel overlaps itself, so it's not possible to click anywhere.

  4. HTML ads produced in InDesign are exporting distorted and wrong.

    HTML ads produced in InDesign are exporting wrong. Fonts distorting, bevel and drop shadow not showing up. Several other elements look wrong.

  5. Indesig destroys its files

    Steps

    scenario: slow, instable internet connection or internet connection failure

    Indesign loses cloud linking to library assets
    InDesign freezes
    InDesign crashes
    Active Indesign file can no longer be opened on this computer despite restarting Windows + InDesign

    If the library is shared with other team members, they will not be able to open the file

    Only team members who are not working with this library can open the file

    If this team member now deletes the links to the assets, the other team members can reopen the file.

  6. Path ≠ line if you have a round arrow with an arrowhead as part of the path

    If you have a "round" arrow with the arrowhead as part of the path, the path (in my screenshot: blue) is no longer the same as the shown line of the arrow (black).
    This effect does not occur if the arrowhead is added to the path.

  7. New / Edit Table Style Crash

    Creating a new table style using the hold-option-key + click page icon method and/or editing an existing table style in the palette crashes indesign instantly.

  8. When opening two documents as tabbed one window group, ID does not auto-fit the resulting taller window onto full screen

    Make adding the additional document tab fit the resulting tabbed window into the same space the old one without tabs occupied.

  9. InDesign 12.1.0.56 Mac crashes when launching files from Box.com

    Cannot click on file on Box.com or without crashing InDesign. DO not have problem on other computers with older versions of InDesign.

  10. 2018 Indesign CC Libraries panel turns black after expanding it out

    After installing the newest version of Indesign on my Mac Pro I've noticed an issue with the CC Libraries panel turning black when I expand the panel outwards.

    Link paths are the original paths, not the ones redirecting to the package's folder, although 'update graphic links in package' is activated.

  12. Problem with Ctrl+A

    When you select a file with more than 500 pages with the command Ctrl + A, (to export RTF) Indesign hangs for many minutes. It did not happen in previous versions. Problem detected in Win10 64bit, the last 2 versions of Indesign.

    We have released an update for InDesign CC2019 (v 14.0.1) which contains fixes for some key issues. If you are not already on 14.0.1 (build 209), then we recommend you to update to latest version.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

    Reproducible Steps –
    • Error snapshot or video recording of the issue.
    • Is the issue related to a specific document(s)/asset(s)? If yes, can you please share the document(s)/asset(s) with us? Please package the entire document(To package the document, Go to File → Package)
    • Does trashing InDesign Preferences and Cache help resolve the issue? Please take a backup of the same before trashing them.

  14. Indesign freezing when trying to change leading in style

    Indesign CC 2017.1 release

    12.1.0.56 64 build
    I am trying to change the leading for a particular style that is used in footnotes and when I attempt the change Indesign simply freezes. At the moment the leading is 9 pt but I want to increase to 11 pt. I don't have this problem with ordinary styles

  15. Horizontal and vertical measurements switched in Move dialog

    I’m one of the dinosaurs who started out in the trade on a typesetting machine, and my preferred system of units uses picas for horizontal measures and points for vertical. This has mostly worked fine for years, but since the most recent update I notice that the Move dialog is using points for X and picas for Y. Not a major issue, but somewhat annoying. (ISTR previous versions with a similar bug in the Cell Options > Text dialog, where the left & right insets were in points and the top & bottom in picas, but that one now behaves…

    Can you please provide some more information to help in reproducing the issue at our end:
    - InDesign version
    - OS
    - Language
    - If document specific, please share a document with me
    - Starts happening after doing some particular steps, please let me know what all things you were performing before this issue happens

  17. InDesign 2017 file on file server with High Sierra

    We have Panzura file servers here and anytime we try to open an InDesign file with CC 2017 it completely crashes any mac that tries to open it, immediate kernel panic with both InDesign and Finder being the cause. So we tried to copy the files to the desktop and open them from there, no dice.

    How on earth did Adobe not catch this bug? You guys had 3 months access at least to the dev prereleases like the rest of the software vendors, this is pretty unacceptable.

  18. Control bar disappears from view when switching applications in cc 2018

    When I switch from an application back to InDesign cc 2018 the control bar/panel will sometimes disappear. The only way I can get it back is to change workspace to "Essentials" and then return it to my custom workspace. This did not happen with InDesign cc 2017.

    My specs are as follows:
    OS 10.11.6 (15G1510)
    iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)
    4 GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
    AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB

  20. when I click on Indesign document, the program oben but nut the the documents

    Have had to restart computer twice now to get latest update of InDesign to open and/or create any documents at work.
