Share for Review: Invitation links are no longer file name
Updated to InDesign V 20.2
Share for Review invitation emails used to include the file name, but now show in the subject and body text as a string of characters. I have multiple files being shared to review daily, and its become difficult and time consuming to find previously shared projects since my email inbox is no longer displaying the names of the files being shared.

Bug: UXP plugin panels become unusable when pressing Alt+F4 on Windows
InDesign 20.2 x64 on Windows 11
Steps to reproduce:
- Open any UXP based plugin panel on Windows OS (does not occur on Mac)
- Click inside the panel to "focus" it
- Press Alt+F4Expected result:
- InDesign window/app is closed (Alt+F4 is the default Windows shortcut for closing a window)Actual result:
- Plugin panel contents becomes blank.
- Situation is unrecoverable in InDesign. Closing the panel and reopening it has no effect. InDesign restart is required."Ironically" this issue also occurs for the built-in "Plugins" panel (likely also UXP based?)

variable weight font issues - STILL with 20.1
Re-posting this issue with more screen shots. Variable weight fonts will work 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, they do not and give you incorrect output or unusable output, with no error warnings. This example had the first PDF output substitute the blocky serif font Bitter with another font, without any warnings or errors. The second PDF output has the correct font, but the letter forms have issues at the vertices, which make them untrappable. Converting them to outlines and then merging the path objects is the only way to get correct outlines of the charcters.

Gap problem. Having 'fixed' the Chapter header to be run on, and made sure there weren't spaces in the text box related to end of Marketing chapter/start Marketing & Optimisation, i once again made the TOC. It didnt fix the gap. (THIS GAP IS NOT LINE RETURNS) Tried everything I know how to try, give up. ID 2025

Palettes not docking in the sidebar
I seem to be having more trouble 'docking' palettes, or dragging them into a group on the sidebar on the right. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this resistance?
When I drag a floating palette onto a closed group, it highlights blue, but I think it used to disappear and you could decide where in the group you wanted to put it, or even into another group or by itself. Currently, there is a light highlight on the group, but when released, it remains floating. When dragged to an open area, the floating palette dims, and will dock by itself.

Lists ignore alignment when story is subject to object wrapping
InDesign v20.1.
Steps to reproduce:
1. In a blank document, create a new story. Add a few blank lines, then a new paragraph with list settings (either bullets or numbers). Align it to center or right.
2. Create an ellipsis and set its wrapping options to contour wrapping.
3. Move the ellipsis so that it intersects the story above the actual list (the list doesn't have to be in range of the wrapping countour).Expected result:
Nothing should happen to the list, since it's far from the wrapping area.Actual result:
The numbers/bullets get aligned the left, no matter what…1 vote -
pasteboard color will not change at all
pasteboard color will not change -- it stays dark gray. I want it light gray but it will not change to any color, much less light gray.
Overprint preview is OFF.
this bug exists in both indesign 2022 and indesign 2025 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.7.5 / dark mode
5K intel iMac 24GB RAM.I don't use ID2025 because it is totally unusable on sonoma on intel iMac -- but tested it to see if the pasteboard color bug is there too and it is.
definitely exists since recent sonoma and ID updates late 2024/2025.

Multiple Issues
I've noticed three glitches very recently in Adobe InDesign 2025. #1 - Seems like every other time I open the print dialog box to select the printer I want to use, the printers are in a different order in the list. #2 - Often times, when I open a document, my keyboard shortcuts won't work. I have to close the document and then re-open it to get them to work. #3 - Most frustrating is, I start to create a new document. I enter the document size into the New Document window and when I hit the Create button and…

Crash/Error Reporting & (non)Solutions
I have been using Adobe products since the beginning. After a crash, I have not ever once had the Error Report that 'searches for a solution or workaround' come back with any solution—working or not. Has anyone ever had a useful solution or workaround come back? Just me?? I am guessing it is still valuable to send the reports, although not sure about that either.

3. Save the text frame to the Library.
4. Place the frame into a layout from the Library.Expected result:

Icon Panels do not expand correctly when Application Frame is OFF.
Recurring issue from one InDesign upgrade to the next! Found 2- and 6-year old reports of the same bug. In-between updates fix it but reoccurs with every new upgrade...
ISSUE
When Application Frame is disabled, panels that are on the right side of the screen don't expand towards the left as they normally would but to the right.
The bigger the UI scaling size, the more to the right of the screen the panel expansion moves, soon disappearing altogether. Only smallest sizing allows to display properly.
Attaching screenshot for reference.
No problem when Application Frame is enabled.TECHNICAL INFO:

Modifications on PDF export profile are incoherent
Windows 11, Indesign 20.1
Steps to reproduce:
1. With at least one PDF export profile present, export an INDD to PDF
2. In the export dialog, change something on the settings, like checkmarking "Create Acrobat layers", given it's not marked already. The export profile would then become marked as "(modified)".
3. Select the unmodified profile again, to remove the previously set checkmark.
4. Now change the settings "Pages" from "All" to "Range". The export profile is now NOT marked as modified. Conclusion: if you want to reset the export from Range to All, you cannot do that by simply selecting…

I am currently using Zoho's virtual space.
For the past two weeks, I have been experiencing a problem where Adobe InDesign crashes whenever I attempt to use the "Save As" function. This issue did not occur previously, but it has become a persistent problem. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter.1 vote -
[ID-4256362]Cannot drag and drop InDesign files into InDesign
With no open files in InDesign, I cannot drag and drop an InDesign file from Explorer into InDesign. Double-clicking an InDesign file does work. Selecting multiple InDesign files in Explorer and then pressing the Enter key does work whether InDesign is running or not.

Bug when editing link text when changes are tracked
There it a bug which occurs when the following takes place.
- Track changes is activated for a text frame in InDesign.
- A user adds text that will include a hyperlink.
(See Image1.)
- A second user creates the hyperlink in the text.
- This user also then makes a change to the text that contains the hyperlink.
(See Image2)
- If the ICML file is exported for editing in InCopy and then placed again into the document the formatting will change in the places where the original content was added - which follow the change in the text which contains the hyperlink. Depending…

Index type range bugs
I specifically have my problems with "To Next Use Of Style" and "For Next # Of Paragraphs"
To Next Use Of Style
The adobe guide specifically says that the range is until the NEXT use of the specific para style but if the paragraph that contains the index marker is the same as the intended end of range, it only recognizes the first page. It counts the current para style aswell.
So if I want to i.e. make an index marker on a bridgehead with a range until the next bridgehead, I have to put the marker to the beginning…

Table controls are missing from Properties pane, and selection control lacks ToolTip
I had mysterious, unselectable text in my document with multiple columns. It turned out to be a table, but this was not indicated anywhere in the UI. Not in the layer list or the Properties pane when the text frame was selected. Table properties are missing from the Properties pane even when you have the text-insertion point sitting in a table cell.
A major contributor to the problem is that the tiny table-selection icon that appears on the left side of a table has no ToolTip, and does nothing when clicked or dragged. Only by guessing that you have to…
