  1. In exported PDF, Hyperlinks jump to wrong page when their Text Anchor destination has moved to a different page due to reflow

    Hi

    In my InDesign file I have a Contents page with 10 hyperlinks to the first page of my 10 chapters. I created Text Anchor Hyperlink destinations on all 10 target pages, and then created Hyperlinks to them from the Contents page.

    The document is 180 pages long and uses a Primary Text Frame, and all the text anchors are contained within the main text flow.

    In 9 of these cases, clicking the hyperlinks in the exported PDF jumps to the correct page, but in one of them, clicking jumps to the NEXT page following the text anchor.

    Distribute spacing shortcuts doesn't work.

    The specified interval is ignored and it is arranged at 0 mm.

    There is no problem pressing the button of the panel.

    It is only when using shortcuts.

  3. mouse lag in indesign when photoshop window open

    Experiencing terrible mouse lag in indesign, the cursor flickers constantly and it feels like the mouse is swimming through mud. Nearly enough to make the program unusable. Reinstall fixes the problem temporarily but it returns within 30mins.

    I have identified that this only happens when a photoshop window is open behind or next to the indesign window.

    Photoshop 19.1.2
    Mac os sierra 10.12.6

  4. Multiple variables cause issues when creating a Table of Contents

    Version 14.02, Mac
    I have a chapter title with nested character styles. Parts of the chapter titles are used to create headers on the subsequent pages. When I try to create a table of contents that includes those headers, there are multiple page numbers coming in. (The page numbers come in twice). I can see this is a known bug since ID 2015, but thought I would mention it is still a problem.

  5. InDesign Libraries don't work with gradient

    If I drag and drop an element with a color gradient to the Library and the drag itback in another document, the color of the gradient is away then and its a black and white gradient. My second document/file is a RGB-file and the other a CMYK file!

  7. Publish online feature not working after deactivating renewal of creative cloud plan

    After I deactivated the renewal of my annual plan (long before the date of renewal), I experienced an issue. When I try to publish from InDesign, it says "error #315: this service is unavailable...". On the My Plans section of the website it says I should still have access to this service until my plan expires. I contacted customer support and they basically told me they can't do anything. I assume this is a bug as the website says I do have access to it, but the app wont let me use it.

  9. error message about activating fonts constantly flicking up, then disappearing.

    the error message is constantly just flicking on screen and disappearing. it even pops up when using other programs in front of in design.

    could fonts just go into memory once you open a doc and there is plenty of memory left. to avoid constant font issues. indesign is always telling me fonts that are installed have gone missing, then a few seconds later they come back.

  10. InDesign performance issue: Slow on documents present on server

    it's not an idea, but a problem. Indesign creates problems on the network and is very slow with server documents, as never before. The media told me to work locally, but I ask Adobe to solve the problem. Windows 10 64 bit - Intel processor 32 GB of ram.

  11. Can't move anything with selection tool

    Mac OS Sierra v 10.12.6 and Indesign 2019
    Since yesterday I can't work. I can use the selection tool to move things around. I only can move things using the X and Y boxes or the arrows. It is impossible to work. Who do I have to call? There is no solution anywhere, after trying so many things. I finally installed and then installed back InDesign and nothing has changed.

  12. Snapping objects is funky

    When moving or scaling objects and aligning (snapping) them to guides or objects, they don't snap to the guides or objects exactly. I regularly
    need to zoom in and visually align them correctly.

  14. SRA3 format not found

    Hello everyone,
    I have the problem with printing SRA3 using InDesign.
    When you choose the format, SRA3 is not listed in there. The strange thing is, that we have multiple systems, that don't have this issue, but run on the same OS, using the same printer, driver, etc..
    In Photoshop for example, the SRA3 format is listed, but in InDesign, it is not.
    I'm not sure what could cause this problem.

    Used system:
    Operating system: Mac Mojave
    Printer: Xerox C60

  15. Crash on using Align Distribute option

    Help!! I used to be able to get the page tool, highlight multiple pages across a spread in the pages palette, then set the space between pages in the toolbar and use the distribute button to get even spacing between pages. Since updating to InDesign 2019 (v14.0.1), the “use spacing” measurement field never completely shows in the info bar, and every time I hit the “distribute horizontal” button, InDesign IMMEDIATELY crashes. I am using MacOS 10.13.6. Please help, I use this feature A LOT.

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
    Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.

  16. publishing not working in chrome, FF

    I am using indesign 13.1. I have several published documents that are suddenly not working in FF and Chrome, but are working in Safari.

    For example, click on read now on this page:
    https://merce-cunningham-bm.now.sh/history-detail

    or this page:

    https://sfarts.org/monthly.cfm

    In Chrome -- nothing happens. But those pages work in Safari.

    Those two documents were created by different companies, so it is not an indesign intallation issue, as the support chat person insisted.

    These pages have been working well for a long time.

    I am the only one affected by this? Seems unlikely....

  18. adobe freezing and getting beach ball spin constantly

    Everytime I upload, save, place etc I get beach ball after beach ball...

    It's not my computer...I have the 10k Imac Pro...

    It mainly started when I installed OS Mojave. Adress this asap please as it is affecting work flow.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020.0.1 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

    If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

  20. url's not active when publish online feature used

    MacOS 10.14.4

    I'm having a problem with the publish online feature. I have a 94 page directory that I published online back in January, which worked perfectly, all url's active and clickable. Today I have updated the print version of the job and created the new interactive version ready to publish online. However, when I 'Publish Online' from indesign and view the document, non of the url's appear to be active and clickable. I have tried creating a new document with just a single url for testing purposes and that doesn't work either. - the problem seems to…
