1. TIFF images as assets in CC Libraries are always placed as PNG images on the document page

   1. Affected: InDesign CC all versions that are working with CC Libraries.
      Tested with InDesign CC 2018.1 and InDesign CC 2019 version 14.0.2.324 on Windows 10. InDesign versions on Mac OS X are also reported.

   2. Steps to reproduce the issue:
      Do a new CC Library.
      Add TIFF images saved from PhotoShop CC 2019 to the new library.
      Two options how you can do this that I know of:
      A. Drag the files from your file system to the open and empty library.
      B. Use Adobe Bridge CC 2019 to drag files to the open library.

   3. Expected result:
      If I want to use an image TIFF asset in my layout and place it on the page from a CC Library the placed image should show up as TIFF image with all the right properties, like the right color space, original resolution etc.pp.

   4. Actual result:
      The placed TIFF is converted to PNG, color space is always RGB, regradless of the original. Always indicating transparency. Even if the original file stored in the CC Library has no transparency at all.

2. Index sorting does not care about language setting

   1. InDesign 14.0.1 x64
   2. Create a document.

   Add an index reference for the word "Skrå".
   Add an index reference for the word "Skrivare".
   Add an index reference for the word "Överleva".
   Add an index reference for the word "Ondska".

   Go to index Sort Settings. Select Header Type Finnish/Swedish for the Roman script.

   Generate an index.

   Observe:
   Ondska is placed under O.
   Överleva is placed under Ö. Which is at the end of the alphabet. This is as it should be, here in Sweden-land.

   However:
   Skrivare is placed below Skrå. Despite å being placed last in the swedish alphabet. We have "å, ä ö" after z.

   In other words: Index sections care about sort options. There seems to be no way to make the sorting of the actual topics respect the same sort options.

   The only way I've found to generate a proper swedish index is to install the shudder swedish version of InDesign.

   This seems weird to me. I should be able to create documents in other languages than the one InDesign itself is using. And most of InDesign supports this – dictionary languages can be chosen by paragraph, but the index will always be generated based on the InDesign UI language...

   1. InDesign 14.0.1 x64
   2. Create a document.

   The animated gif in attachment does not animate in InDesign or when part of a published ebook. I used the Mac iBook to view it.

4. Dragging images

   I haven't been able to drag photos once I import them into InDesign or even Illustrator. It worked for a split second after restarting my computer, but once I stopped dragging it, I could no longer drag the photo or any other photo.

6. Swatch window can't type in tint %

   Swatch window allows you to set a Tint percent, but it can only be controlled via slider, which jumps in strange increments. It will not allow you to type in an exact percentage for the tint. Why does this one critically important window not work as well as every other tool?

7. Swatch window can't be expanded

   The fill and stoke windows cannot be expanded like all other tool windows, this is really annoying. I want to be able to look at 10-20 swatches at a time, not 5.

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

13. The operating procedures are not smooth, often pause

    In version 14, all the operating procedures have become unsmooth, often paused, and sometimes even have to wait for more than 30 seconds!!? I am sure that my hardware device has high-performance computing power.

14. Indesign 2020 keeps asking me to save files

    It says it has been altered (asterisk next to name) immediately after I open a file
    even I haven't made any changes. After I save it , the asterisk shows up again as soon as I scroll down!

    I am using InDesign 2020, Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

15. Invisible character

    Apply all Auto Edits inserts an invisible character before which then interferes with Find and Replace. When pasted into a GREP search, it looks like ~I, but can't be found. It can be manually removed, but this is not helpful, as I need to be able to perform a comprehensive Find/Replace.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

17. Data Merge not populating fields CC2019

    I use Data Merge for variable data production every day. I am using IDCC2019 v14.0.1. iMac 27 inch late 2013. OS High Sierra 10.13.6. Processor 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5. 16 GB memory.

    This problem started with IDCC2019. I link to .csv for data merge. When exporting to PDF, I choose a record range – for example 1-1000. In the PDF result, the first page is not the first record. It is a random record in the middle – for example, 319. It merges records 319-1000. Then the remaining pages of the 1000 page output are not populated – in the PDF, it will have only the placeholders, such as <<Name>> <<Address>>. This happens sporadically but frequently. I cannot say a similar problem never occurred with an earlier version of ID, but I do not remember ever having this precise problem before CC2019. To clarify – it successfully merges many of the records, but starts with a random record in the middle, not the first. Then the unpopulated records are at the end of the PDF output, and I am missing the records that should have been at the beginning. It is very strange. I cannot provide steps to reproduce the problem because it is a random ocurrence. For starters I would just like to know if anyone else has experienced this same problem. Thank you in advance.

18. Paragraph shading not aligned in justified text when optical alignment is on

    If optical margin alignment (story) is ON the paragraph shading doesn't align on the right margin of justified text. hyphens seem to push the edge of the shading out. This is in build 13.1.1 but is also reported in 15.0.0.155. I cannot update to the newest version without buying a new computer—so I won't be anytime soon or maybe ever. 19. Centering lines have disappeared.

    vertical and horizontal centering lines have disappeared. Pink lines used to show up when I was centering an object. Any way to get them back?

20. column break

    Adobe InDesign 2020, macOS Mojave
    If you have a very long word or a URL without breaks, if that is inserted into a narrow column, so that it fills the entire column, at the point where hyphenation is forced, a column break also occurs. Obviously, that's wrong.
