  1. Share for review feature box shows up blank

    1/10 times it works, but most of the time it does not. I have tried logging in and out of my accounts and restarting my computer, but it still isn't working for me today.

  3. can't open file format psd, jpeg or in design file

    in design will not open my jpeg files and I'm using the latest of in design cc 2021

  4. Command & Space Problems

    Updated to MACOS - Catalania, now animated zoom doesnt work anymore by holding COMMAND & SPACE! InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop can`t do it anymore. Also holding SPACE to move the Paper doesnt work anymore.

  5. Index sorting in Book-document in Danish/Norwegian

    I'm using InDesign version 16.0. There is a problem with sorting alphabetically when using Danish/Norwegian with Book-function. This only happens from the second letter and on.

    The first letters in words sort correctly.

    Here's an example for the letter Ø, which should sort after Z and Æ:

    ‘Tørres’ is sorted before ‘Torstein’ (which means ø is here sorted under o). This only happens when sorting an index from two or more documents linked with the Book-function.

  6. text turns into Symbols

    When I place a document from Word into InDesign and apply a paragraph style the fonts all change to Symbol font. This has been going on for years through multiple versions of the program. Can you please fix it? Or explain how to avoid it?

  7. save as file name bug

    Suddenly, when saving a file, the Mac interface highlights the entire document name AND file extension. The software has never done this, why the annoying change? Designers often save version numbers, so now it's not as quick to hit the right arrow key, change the version # at the end of the file, then save. The new way it highlights the file name doesnt make sense, because nobody would want to affect the file extension when renaming a file.

  8. issues with video content being supported from Indd output to viewabiity and interface as pdfs in acrobat

    make it so pdf's can have view-ability and functioning controler when exported from Indd. This used to work but has gone away. If you are phasing out flash please post a replacement. We dont all use digital videos linked from the internet and dont always have an internet connection.

  9. Text frame options: Individual inset spacing when rounded corners are enabled

    Currently the text frame options do not allow different inset spacing on each side if a rounded corner is applied to the text frame.

    We are trying to create a template that has a text box with a gradient background and a rounded corner that bleeds off the page. We need to set the inset to push the inset spacing on one side further than the rest to fit within the page margins, but with the rounded corner this is not possible.

  10. Variable Font not working in InDesign 2020

    We came along a severe bug within InDesign 2020 and Variable Font.

    The issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021. The fix was also available in the previous version of InDesign – version 15.1.2
    Please update to either of these versions of InDesign to get the fix.

  11. Every time I try to save an InDesign file my Macbook Pro Crashes to Black

    Every time I try to save an InDesign file my Macbook Pro Crashes to Black. Files seem to be recovered upon reboot, but reboot takes a while - especially when you save a dozen times a day or more.

  12. Separation Preview Bug

    Separation preview will scrambled when you jump to next page and turn any colour separation off, the text and image from previous page will show on the current display page.

    This issue has beed existed since version 2017 to 2020. I saw some users are facing same issue from previous version and not been fix all these years.

  13. ID 2020 - Indent in combination with wrap text around an image not working

    In Indesign 2020, whenever I want to wrap text next to an image, but the text also has an indent the text jumps from the supposed position.
    In Indesign 2019 this did not happen. The text was wrapped nicely next to the image, the way you should expect.

    My guess what happens here, is that the indent specs are applied not the the edge of the frame, but to the edge of the text. Which corrupts the spacing between the image and the text.

    I'm working with the latest 2020 version on iMac with Catalina

    This issue is addressed with a new option "Honor Text Indents in addition to Text Wrap" in Preferences > Composition dialog. This option is ON for new docs created in ID2023 and needs to be turned ON for docs created in older versions of InDesign when opened in ID2023.

  14. Scripts

    When I updated to InDesign 2021 (V 16.0), all my custom scripts and their associated keyboard shortcuts were gone.

    I had to go into my Applications/Adobe InDesign 2020/Scripts/Scripts Panel folder and copy them over into that same folder in the InDesign 2021 folder.

    Not sure if it's happening across the board, but thought I'd point out my experience.

    My InDesign version is 16.0.1 x 64.
    More than 200 files "AdobeFnt22.lst" are created in my google drive automatically many times.

  16. Editing a Gradient Swatch affects orientation

    When a Gradient Swatch is edited, the orientation / position of that gradient on existing objects is reset. Changing colors / knots should not affect the position of applied gradients.

  17. Place dialogue blank

    The place dialogue is often a nearly blank/greyed-out box. Sometime ID crashes, sometimes it allows me to a place the file through the dialogue, sometimes the dialogue disappears when I click the pasteboard. It happens seemingly randomly.

    Using Mac 10.14

  18. Selection tool issue in the latest version of InDesign.

    The selection tool now only works to change the size of boxes (text, images), it no longer lets you move the boxes around the page. To move boxes you know have to switch tools to the Free Transform Tool which makes everything more time consuming.

  19. MacOS Big Sur Creative Cloud Download Manager iCon not clearly visible in Apple Menu

    MacOS Big Sur Creative Cloud Download Manager iCon is barely showing up at the top of my screen. Since the top control bar in Big Sur is now transparent, I am using a black background so its quite faint. Attaching screen shot. This wasn't an issue with previous OS and had the same black background.

  20. Shortcut duplicate is still not working under BigSur on MacBook Air (M1)
