resize group is copying the group
With the new CC2021 I have a group of objects. Trying to resize them not only resizes them but copies the entire group leaving the old group in place!

Indesign 2021 with Thai language: Some Thai characters are misplaced when not using World-ready composer
Some Thai characters are misplaced when not using World-ready composer
2 votesInDesign has started supporting SEA languages since ID 2020. Adobe WR composer needs to be selected to compose in SEA languages correctly. Since Thai is a SEA language, please use Adobe WR composer for the correct composition of the text.

InDesign 2021 (InDesign 16.0) locked when left unattended for an hour.
This was installed for me overnight, and appeared to be running as expected. When I left my computer running for an hour while I ate lunch I came back to find the application locked. When I tried to force it to quit the entire machine locked, and I was required to force it to shut down and restart.

Stroke Drawing Order | Row Strokes In Front issue
Hi everyone,
I'm facing a problem in indesign and I assume this should be reported as a bug unless someone has a solution to it, so…
I work with a lot of tables, and sometimes, for more lisibility, I have a insert "gutters" to table columns (actually it's white right strokes on my cells), sometimes it's just the client who wants them everywhere on tables. Anyway, there's a great feature in table styles that let me decide whether the row stroke is above the column stroke or the other way.
it works perfectly when choosing Column Strokes In Front, every…

Long Text Variables kern instead of return to new line
Indesign 2020
When using text variables with a bounding box that is too short for the line to fit, the line of dynamic text will squeeze together in order to fit instead of dropping to a new line. It would be nice if the line will drop down to a new line as normal text does in a text box.8 votes -
Adobe Fonts: Licensed with Creative Cloud but marked as "not allowed, protected" in Preflight, InDesign
Please help me: I'm using two fonts for a book soon to be published. I have activated the fonts in Creative Cloud. I work in InDesign. Now a Preflight check tells me that my fonts are "Not Allowed: Protected" (that's the only way to translate that message from Swedish). How do I solve this??? (The fonts I'm using are Minion Pro and Myriad Pro). I thought my InDesign recognised licenses from Creative Cloud. Have I misunderstood this completely? Desperate, please give me clue.. Best Regards, Louise

can't maKE a new document
I just updated from 2020 to 2021 version.
Now, when trying to create a new document, the dialogue works as expected but when clicking (create) nothing happens.
Even after restarting the whole system, we are running on a PC1 vote -
Text frame indented
When I move a text frame to the top left corner of a page, the first line of the text is automatically indented. How can I solve this problem? Thanks

Export
When exporting (CC2021, Big Sur) JPG from page to OSX Serve (OSX10.10.5), file size is 0 KB, but when export to desktop file is ok. No matter what JPG settings are. No error message. Other exports (pdf, epub) goes well.

The Book panel does not remember its size and location
The Book panel is the only panel in InDesign that doesn't remember its size and position when you close and re-open it.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new book (File > New > Book). The book panel is shown at the centre of the screen. No need to add documents to it.
- Move the panel to another location on the screen, and change its size in the usual way (click-drag on a corner of the panel).
- Save the book and close it.
- Re-open the book.
Expected behaviour: the book panel is opened at the same location and at the same…
14 votesBook panel is a special type of panel that is always associated with the .INDB file – unlike other panels where there is no actual association with a file on disk. The panel also shows the name of the Book file. If that INDB file is deleted, then the panel does not have any meaning.
Only when the Book file is opened is the Book panel available. So it can’t be part of a workspace & thus its size and location also can’t be fixed as there could be multiple Book files that can be opened simultaneously.—

Epub interactivity panel indesign
epub interactivity panel preview doesn't show the exact size of text, and it changes the objects' places.

Index entry crash 2021
Adding index entries is crashing the program. I've also had issue copying and pasting and dragging copies on certain pages that I have had to rebuild instead. Really disappointing and driving me crazy with a deadline looming

Recents on Home screen Ability to pin indesign projects on the home landing screen
A frustration with indesign and an opportunity to improve. As a user of indesign I want to be able to pin certain projects I am working on and see them on the landing home screen. (Currently I have to rely on win folders to store projects).
So that I can easily locate projects that are of value and referenced not so regularly

When deleting a page in page tab numbers remain as before
When deleting a page in page tab, the numbers are wrong, as if the deleted pages are still there. It doesn't update.
As you can see in the file loaded, it starts with page 3, not 1.1 vote -

Pdfs come in upside down and inverted when viewed in 'high quality display' in InDesign, 16.0.. Mac OS, Big Sur 11.01.
The problem is only in 'high-quality display' It shows normal in 'typical display.' When exporting from InDesign to a PDF there is no issue. This is a display rendering bug. Note: pdf I'm linking to was from Adobe XD.
