1. Cross Reference search doesn't recognize typographer's quotes

   When creating a cross-reference by searching for text with a particular style, the search text will not recognize a typographer's single quote. Therefore, a word like "woman's" with a single prime mark will work, but that same word using a proper single quote mark will yield no results, even if I can verify the existence of the text in the document to which I'm creating the cross-reference. The search function should be able to recognize that character, but if not, could it auto-replace such characters with the dumb quote mark? Failing that, could there be a simple warning message telling the user that some characters may not be recognized so the user knows to look at what is input to the search box? I also found that a paragraph return, even if it existed by the text searched, would not get picked up. Again, if that is an offending character, it should trigger a warning or otherwise prompt the user so they don't have to go searching to see if the text actually appears in the document.

3. Image date merge

   Since InDesign 16.4 the image data merge won't work. The images are not displayed on the screen and not in 'links'.
   After merging there are also no pictures.

4. [ID-4257737]InDesign 15.1.1 - Fonts not activating - stuck on spinning circle background tasks

   I have a problem on InDesign 15.1.1 - My Creative Cloud fonts are not activating... How can I sort this out? It's stuck on the spinning blue circle of doom - the background task has been saying queued for hours now.

   I need my fonts not sure what to do?? Help.

   Try closing the document that shows the Background Tasks as queued. If the Auto-Activate Adobe Fonts option has been selected and you are connected to the internet, fonts in your document should get auto-activated.

5. Import SVG, crashing indesign

   I'm on MAC and I'm using the latest versin of Indesign 16.2.1 and when i import an svg (who come Adobe XD), indesign do not respond and crash.

6. right click on the REVEAL in BRIDGE

   When I go to the LInks Panel and right click on Reveal in Bridge, both the 2021 version and this beta take me to the CC App screen, Not Bridge. Bridge is installed and is current

7. In-Design still doesn't support the Automated Numbers in "Devanagari Script" Indic Language Marathi & Hindi

   Hello Team, since i am using In-design for my work almost everyday, and a die hard fan for using Unicode fonts for Indian Language (JFYI I mostly work in Hindi + Marathi languages and Devanagari Script used by both these languages) and I use many fonts including that of Adobe and locally developed Unicode fonts

   the Major issue I am facing is In-Design still doesn't support the Automated Numbers in "Devanagari Script" they still appear in English / Roman Numerals, which is a very annoying thing to see page numbers & auto numbered lists Showing Numbers in English / Roman Numerals, (here i am choosing a font which does have numerals designed in Devanagari Script)

   Moreover, if I try to use the same Unicode font in CorelDRAW / QuarkXpress, it gives me proper & desired output i.e. to say, I get proper Devanagari Numerals for automated things like TOC & Index entries, so also the most crucial page numbers & numbered para lists

   Few months ago I have also put in a "uservoice" request hoping to resolve this issue, but its still pending,

8. Indesign Book created PDF comments are not placed in right places

11. em dash

    InDesign treats two words separated by an em dash as a single word when applying styles. For example, if you create a paragraph style which includes a nested style to set the first three words of the paragraph in small caps, InDesign will set the first four words in small caps if the first three words include an em dash.

    An em dash should be treated as punctuation, not a connector. Words separated by an em dash are are separate words and should be treated as such.

12. Indesign so slow with certain files

    I updated to Big Sur and CC21... now a lot of my indesign files don't work, super slow, lagging, any links display as pixelated... I can't use files that have taken me hours upon hours to create. I have been on phone calls and screen sharing with Adobe for over 4 hours and no solve. Have had 2 hours of screen share with Mac, no solve. Help!?

15. Sound not working in interactive epub

    This epub played fine before now nothing that I do makes the sound play. I removed/reimported them but they no longer play in preview or when pubished. These are small free sound effect files like bird songs etc. All royalty free.

16. Serious GREP style bug: ampersands

    Hi, InDesign team.

    I've run into a serious bug with GREP styles. Any GREP expression containing an ampersand character that is entered as a GREP style in a paragraph style will suddenly acquire additional ampersands whenever I scroll through the list of GREP styles.

    STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

    Create a simple GREP style as part of a paragraph style.
    The entire GREP expression should consist of the single character &. (Though this also happens when the & is part of longer expressions.)
    Make enough other GREP styles that you need to scroll in the window to see them all.
    Close the paragraph style window and reopen it.
    Scroll through the list of GREP styles.
    When you scroll, you will see that "&" has become "&&."

    I believe I have gotten around the bug by using the Unicode value for an ampersand, but this is not ideal. I need to be able to trust that the GREP style implementation is solid.

17. PDF Exporting to the Artifact Folder

    Computer Info: MacBook Pro 13 inch, 2018, OS: Big Sur 11.5.2
    Indesign Info: CC 16.3.2

    Lately, InDesign defaults all my exports to the "artifact" Folder on my computer (see screenshot). I don't know why. It seems like a bug. Even if in a session, I have already exported from the same file elsewhere or exported from a different file elsewhere, every time export it always defaults to that folder.

    The only thing is because I run the files off the server. But, if that is the case it used to work and has recently stopped working. Please help.

18. Spell Check keeps defaulting to Polish.

    I need to spell check my document but none of the words are in the dictionary. The spell check dictionary keeps defaulting to Polish even when I change it to English. I have set it as English US in every place I can find but it keeps defaulting to Polish for spell check.

    Help.

20. Not all Color Panel menus accessible via keyboard shortcut

    When setting a custom keyboard shortcuts, there is no option for

    Panel Menus > Color: HSB

    And other color models. Those should be added. All panel menu items should be available consistently.
