Type 1 Fonts
Preflight has the ability to flag Type 1 fonts. This is a great way to see if you are using fonts in a document that will not be supported in the future. The problem is there are OpenType Type 1 fonts and PostScript Type 1 fonts. In Preflight, when you click on Type 1 fonts not allowed, it also flags OpenType Type 1 fonts.
Would be very important to identify exactly what fonts will not be supported in the future.
This issue has been fixed in the latest version of InDesign - 18.2 and later.

I have the same problem - my file has a press pdf made from two pages and the placed on another page in the same document. The original pages in indesign show no type errors during preflight but the placed PDF shows type1 errors. This is VERY frustrating as there are no Type 1 fonts on my system only :-
• Open Type - TT
• Open Type - PS (though I think I understand that this is just the way Connect Fonts Identifies the font and it is actually an Open Type Font???)
• True TypePlease Please sort this out

18 and 18.1: Where I use e.g. Filson sans (Adobe Fonts) in an Indesign file Preflight won't flag them, but will flag the same Filson font that is used in imported .ai files

I am receiving the blue pop up about Type 1 fonts, but when I open Find/Replace Fonts it says there are zero Type 1 fonts.

Indesign continues to warn that documents contain Postscript Type 1 fonts, while they are not present. Document contains Opentype Type 1 fonts.

I deleted or deactivate all Type 1 fonts in my system (unless essential). In my ID 17.0 documents I only use OTF or TT fonts, yet I InDesign keeps warning me about Type1 Fonts through a blue pop up. However, when I open the Find/Replace font panel, I get a "0 Type 1" fonts readout. So, what gives? I appreciate how the ID Team is trying to be helpful but helpful+confusing=confusing.
