1. Preferences/Units & Increments/Cursor Key Distance

   Please make this feature faster to change. It is the first preference in Illustrator and I love that. Can you make it the first preference in InDesign? I change this number a lot. Right now I have to hit command k, hit the down arrow five times, tab six times, change the number and hit enter. It wasn't always this hard. It doesn't have to be this hard now. Please fix to make it easier.

2. Add "Same as Previous" in the "Bullets and Numbering > Mode" window.

   In the "Bullets and Numbering > Mode" can we have "Same as Previous" added? I would be useful in our workflow. We have a workaround, but it's not 100% foolproof.

3. GPU support on non Retina Macs

   Please enable support for GPU utilisation on non Retina enabled screens. My graphics card is more than able to lever this ability, it's just my Mac 27" is not Retina.

5. Searched styles in Quick Apply or Most used styles

   Got a lot of styles. Paragraph, Character, etc. styles. The Quick Apply helps to quickly find the the ones i need. So it would be nice that the last (maybe 5) styles that i searched will be on top of that Quick Apply window.

   Or create a new window, and put the most used styles in there.

6. Improve shadows on items from master page.

   I have a document with a page number placeholder on the master page b/c I'm making hundreds of Table Number cards for an event. I have a drop shadow on the number on the master page. When I click over to the regular pages, the shadow still shows as the "A" from the master page placeholder, instead of a shadow from the 1, 2, 3, etc from each new page. You have to manually break the link on each page for the shadow to reflect the individual numbers. The whole idea of the master pages is that you shouldn't have to manually adjust that type of thing. The shadow should automatically reflect the number from the individual page.

10. PLEASE REMOVE THIS! I want to place an image and shrink it. PERIOD. such a frustration!

    Whenever I drag over a PNG file (which happens to be an icon) and I want to shrink it to a smaller size....I'm always confronted with:

    "This value would cause one or more objects to leave the pasteboard"

    Okay.....that's fine. But why don't you provide INSTRUCTIONS for how to resolve this???? I've been copying it to different areas and nothing works. I've wasted 15 minutes and nothing. Like this is SUCH a burden in my workflow.

    So for the love of God, please remove this PROMPT, it does more harm than good!

12. Publish online Magazine

    Publish online needs to be able to tell the difference between spreads and single pages. I publish a magazine using publish online and with the page numbers at the bottom, it looks like it is half as thick as it is. or have an option to take the page numbers off since they are in the magazine and I don't need them on the web page.

    It would also be cool if when animating the magazine in InDesign there was a page flip, though I do like the way I do it now because it's different, it would be cool if I could make it look more like a magazine.

    Another idea is it would be nice to be able to get the HTML/CSS so I can host it myself (I know I can embed but it's not the same)

13. Recent Fonts List Modification to maintain the last selected position

    Currently, if you have Number of Recent Fonts to Display set to anything but zero (0), recent fonts appear at the font drop down list, but the drop down starts at the top of the fonts list no matter what your current font is.

    If I am just wanting the next or previous font in the list from the font I am currently using, I now have to scroll all the way down to that font. When the Number of Recent Fonts to Display is set to zero (0), when the drop down is selected, it is positioned at the font you are currently using instead of the top of the list. This is preferable.

    Can you combine these actions. When there is a recent fonts list, the drop down should be at the current font being used in the text that is selected.

    This is something CorelDraw does and has done for years. Here's to hoping this would be an easy programming issue. Otherwise, I will not use that feature due to the amount of scrolling that needs to be done to get to the current font, or any other font I want to get that is not right at the top.

14. Interactive buttons able to form shape of path

    Currently interactive buttons are restrained to circular or rectangular bounding boxes. This needs to change so a path can be turned into the button.

15. Toolbar

    My toolbar is located on the right because I'm righthanded and placing it on the right means shorter distances when using the mouse. This means less stress on shoulders and arms.

    I have an idea to choose a tool even faster, while creating more workspace and less use of the mouse.

    What about a specific key (combination) useable for your non mouse hand (eg.ctrl+shift), to make the toolbar appear directly under the cursor. When you use the same key (combination) again or after you have chosen a tool, the toolbar closes.

    This way you will create more space in your workfield and you will minimize the need of using the mouse to get to the toolbar.

16. Split Layout view also horizontal

    Split view is great. Allowing you to refer to page numbers, whilst checking the contents in the other view for example. But its only in portrait (left and right)

    A landscape (top and bottom) view would also be great and most appreciated

17. Fix bug that makes windows invisible/inaccessible on opening InDesign

    Every time I first open InDesign, all the windows are invisible/inaccessible, or the window icons are visible but they don't open. The only solution I've found is to quit and reopen the program, sometimes multiple times. Using InDesign on Mac with High Sierra. Application Frame is off.

18. Inline search filter for all styles panels and swatches

    Alle styles and swatches panels should have an inline search filter to narrow down large lists of styles (similar to the quick apply window and the layer panel in Photoshop).

19. Annoying new InDesign CC behavior 5/2018....

    When replacing text by highlighting the text and then typing new text, InDesign misses the first letter of new typing, every time. I'm sure it was not always this way. It is annoying, to say the least, and could easily lead to typographical errors from words missing their initial letters, if it does not get caught. No other software that I use works this way. Please look into this bug!

20. Better numbering of Exported pages

    Once in a while, we need to animate pages of a brochure, or make end credits with more typographic features than After Effects allows.

    When exporting pages from InDesign (e.g. as .jpg), those are numbered:
    Name.jpg
    Name2.jpg
    ...
    Name9.jpg
    Name10.jpg
    etc.

    This results in a list of files that, when sorted/imported in alphabetical order, are not in the right order.

    It would be nice, when the names are like this:
    Name00.jpg
    Name01.jpg
    ...
    Name09.jpg
    Name10.jpg

    Even better would be when InDesign allows us to make a template for the output name, so we can decide ourselves how the sequential files will be named.
