1. Don't provide the GPU Performance menu for Windows

   It's outrageous that a giant corporation doesn't have support to GPU Performance for windows, when we sign the creative cloud plan doesn't shows that works differently in each operational system. Please, develop this functionality as soon as possible!!

2. Opening a menu item such as preferences sets of the "error" sound in windows until the item is closed

   When I open a menu item such as Print or Preferences or Export, windows begins making the "error" sound as if you clicked in an inappropriate spot. The sound continues until I close whatever menu item I opened. This only started with the update to InDesign 2023.

3. DAY 41 - Slow Publish Online document loading - Case ADB-25741223-T9S3

   This issue is now in it's 41st day since I reported. Also I've recently noticed that when I go to publish online, even that is slow now. Can adobe please sort this out as Publish Online is an important part of my business and slow document speed means poor delivery for clients

5. Entire note is backlinked in ePub export

   In InDesign 18.2.1 when I create endnotes via Type/Insert Endnote and paste in the text I want in the note, the entire note becomes the backlink. Can't have external URLs in the note as the backlink overrides them.

6. ?bug re bulleted lists in v18

   I have just opened an InDesign document I created in Aug 2022. I am now using InDesign v18.1 x42. It converted the document from Shivani.indd to Shivani.indd[converted], as I see it does when you open documents created in previous versions.

   However, all my bulleted lists are no longer bulleted lists, they are just text, with the bullet symbol and a single space at the start of each line. When I select the text the bulleted list icon in “Bullets and Numbering” is no longer highlighted. But more of a problem is that clicking on “options” in “Bullets and Numbering” brings up the options dialogue but everything in the box is greyed out and cannot be selected.

   Is this a known issue? A feature? A bug or unintended consequence?

   (I am using Windows 10)

7. InDesign stops reacting to paste, export and save commands!

   This happens sometimes even several times a day! There's no trigger to this that I can detect.

8. masterSpread.primaryTextFrame can't be set in jsx

   The primaryTextFrame property under masterSpread doesn't seem to work. If there is an existing PTF on the spread, then mySpread.primaryTextFrame.isValid resolves as true, but it cannot be set to NothingEnum.NOTHING/null, and a non-PTF on the spread cannot be assigned to mySpread.primaryTextFrame.

9. 2-UP Vertical window mode creeps wider with every click

   1. Indesign 18.2.1.
   2. Open two documents and then select 2-UP vertical window mode
   3. I expect both windows to stay the same width that I have set when opening 2-UP vertical window mode.
   4. When using 2-UP vertical screen mode, the left hand window creeps wider by one pixel every time I click in the right hand window.

10. Dictionaries, specifically German

    The german dictionary in ID is weird. Many common german words it would mark as unknown, but the suggestions show a lot of rarely used ones. Well, when adding words to the dictionary, it can be confusing for the grammar checker to distinguish between verbs, adjectives and nouns if there is no definition for the word type. So, at least for German, but perhaps generally, give the user the option to define if the added word is a noun, adjective or verb.

    Example for confusion: "brücken". This is a verb ("brücken" -> to bridge), but also the plural of "Brücke" (bridge), but with lowercase. The grammar checker would suggest to capitalize the word when it's meant to be a verb. I would then define it once as verb in lowercase and once as noun with capital letter in the dictionary.

12. Gradient palette window is cutting off -- Show Options turned on

    Gradient palette not fully expanding after clicking "Show Options". Everything below the Reverse Gradient option is cut off and there's no way to expand the palette window to make edits to gradient bar. See attachment.

    Tried restarting computer and made sure InDesign is up to date (18.2.1)

    I should also note that this is an issue on multiple computers.

13. frozen

    The screen does not update/move when zooming or scrolling the pages. The rulers indicate that I am moving between pages in the document, but the screen stays frozen on one page. After clicking and opening menus a number of times, the screen eventually updates. This happens intermittently, on various documents, no matter the complexity/file-size. Indesign is up-to-date. (MacOS Big Sur 11.7.4)

14. Major delay when changing page via the page up/down or double-clicking on the page icon

    Major delay when changing page via the page up/down or double-clicking on the page icon. Usually happens when you have first opened a document. For example when you apply the keyboard command Opt-Pagedown, the icon on the bottom left of the screen immediately shows the page has changed but nothing happens. Sometimes it wont redraw the new page until you click on the screen and this only works after some time has passed (approx 6-8 seconds after). This was always instant in previous versions. My settings for view are on >Typical and I have Type Contextual Control set to >OFF.

15. Endnotes in ePub use identical id's where an id should be Unique

    When InDesign 18.0 and earlier versions make a reflowable ePub, the endnotes cause the file to be rejected when checked by https://www.ebookit.com/tools/bp/Bo/eBookIt/epub-validator. The reason: each endnote reference is embedded in a span with an id twice, and the name or identifier of that id is the same. In HTML (which is the construct of an ePub) each id should be unique. You cannot have a HTML file with two elements with the same id-name. The next line can be found at the endnote reference, but a similar thing coccurs on the backlink, back from the endnote text to the reference.

    So in order to end up with an ePub that gets approved, I need to remove or rename one of the spans. This is something that needs to be fixed. I can't imagine why this error hasn't been mentioned earlier. The links back and forth do work, but this HTML/ePub is really not what it is supposed to be. For each endnote I have to make two corrections.

16. Wörterbuch InDesign Deutsch -2006 neue Rechtschreibung 18.2.1. x64

    Wenn ich die Neue Deutsche Rechtschreibung ab 2006 für meine Dokumente einstelle, springt die Einstellung beim Wort selbst (rechte Maustaste) jedes mal zurück auf die alte Rechtschreibung. Egal was ich versuche - diese Einstellung wird nicht im Dokument abgespeichert.

17. Index entries not displaying

    Hi, I have InDesign version 18.2.1 and am working on the translation of my book. Since yesterday evening I can no longer update the index. It only shows some index entries instead of all of them. Could you please provide a solution? By the way, I attach here two screenshots.

18. InDesign 2023 Find/Replace is broken

    In InDesign 2023 Find/Replace, page views don't update correctly with subsequent Find or Find/Change clicks and I couldn't see where I was. This only happened on my 2012 mac mini. On a 2013 model that I use at work, it worked fine. I had to go back to the previous version on both computers so they'd be able to open the same files.

19. Importing Excel unformatted table text-based formulas import as "-1"

    1. Indesign 17.4

    2. steps to reproduce:
       a) In Microsoft Excel (for Mac version 16.63.1), in cell A1 add "Some text"
       b) in cell B1 add formula "=A1"
       c) save excel document .xlsx
       d) Import into indesign as Unformatted Table

    3. expected result: table cell A2 contents should be "Some text", same as A1

    4. Actual result: table cell A2 contents is "-1"

20. Non-breaking hypens and column break in linked word file does not work in InDesign

    I have a word file linked to my InDesign document. However, it is not working as anticipated. Two examples:
    * non-breaking hyphens in the word document disappears in InDesign
    * manual column breaks in the word document becomes pages breaks in InDesign - I have tried to use a second text frame in the same page as a workaround, but the second frame remains empty (until moved to the next page).
