  1. Indesign GPU enablement on Windows

    InDesign 17.4 x64

    It would be nice and desirable if there was also GPU support in Indesign and Windows 11 Pro like Photoshop and Illustrator.

  2. Can't Copy Paste Textblocks from v2022 to v2023

    Copy textblock in Version 2022 - paste into 2023
    Expected result: Normal Textblock
    Actual result: Not a normal Textblock, but some kind of grafic text in a Textblock

  3. Cell object is null!

    I get the third merged cell as null. Why is that?

    Please to get the error First create new document and table 3 by 3 and merge and select cells like screenshot. Execute the script.

    InDesign crashes when exporting a pdf with hyperlinks. This is now just happening after the release of Id 2023.

  5. Font not working after InDesign 17.2 upgrade

    The font "AlteHaasGroteskBold" worked with the previous version of InDesign. It is open in FontExplorer X Pro (7.3.0) and works in Illustrator and Photoshop (current versions).

  6. tool panel/character panel disappears

    Since INDesign 2023 my tool bar and character panels occasionally disappear. When I click out of the app and then come back to it later. They aren't there. When I go to the Window menu, I can get them back, but this is happening a few times a day and is an annoyance.

    Never had that in 15 years of InDesign.

    p.s. It happened once in Photoshop too!

  7. Wrong hyphenation Spanish

    Indesign 2023 Spanish hyphenation is wrong.

    Some words starting with "des-" are hyphenated after "des-" and should be hyphenated after "de-". Example of right hyphenation:

    • desempeño > de - sem - pe - ño
    • desagradecido> de - sa -gra - de - ci -do
    • destilar> des - ti - lar

    This problem has appeared in last versions of indesign.

  8. InDesign 2023 crashes when opening older InDesign files

    Can't open older version files in InDesign 2023. Using Microsoft Office 2016 64-Bit Edition (yes, I know we're really behind in our operating system). It looks like it's going to open the file, and then it crashes InDesign. Have tried restarting, re-installing InDesign and no go. Have even tried saving the old file as an IDML mark-up file and it still won't open.

  9. Moving to the next page lag and sometimes doesn't even happen

    When I scroll to the next page the display doesn't change, it stays as the page I was originally on. Sometimes I have to close the document and reopen to access the page I want.

  10. Buttons do not work in Indesign

    Certain buttons aren't working in Indesign. E.g. I can't click into the preflight panel, or the pop-up comes up for a millisecond, too fast for me to click into it. This is happening with the Preflight panel, the 'align to' button in the Alignment panel, and other toggles like it. Incredibly frustrating. I've tried restarting but the issue persists.

    Make it work on ARM based processors. Bought a new Windows Surface Pro and shocked that your apps are not working...

    InDesign Beta 19.5.0.91 is made live on Win Arm machines for English users. Users having their language as EN, can now install and use InDesign Beta on Windows Arm based machines.

  13. Pages panel thumbnail resolution

    When InDesign 2022 (17.0) came out, the resolution of the thumbnails in the Pages panel was lowered, even with Display Performance set to High Quality Display. It's not just the greeking of the text. I can see the pixels themselves.

    This forces me to still have to use InDesign 2021 so that I can see the contents of the pages in the thumbnails.

    2021/22において、エクセルから表をコピーするとインデザイン上で改行が増えている。（1行ごとに改行）および（1行目に改行）。
    イラレではこの現象は起きていません。

  15. Texts automatically in registration mark colour

    since installing version 17.3 or maybe earlier, every time you make a new text field the colour of the text is automatically in registration marks colour. Why is that? It used to be automatically black. I already checked the portrayal of black, it is set to be correct.
    I wish you would change it back to be automatically black, this is causing problems in printing especially if you're not careful enough when checking your document.

  16. Copy and Paste error InDesign Mac

    If you start a line with a figure space and copy the paragraph and paste the paragraph the figure space is removed from the copied paragraph. The paragraph starts with the first character.

  17. PDF comments not accurate

    ID 18.0 on Mac OS 12.6
    Imported PDF comments such as replaced text, inserted text and strikethroughs are misplaced. They appear to move 1-2 characters before the place they show on Acrobat.

  18. Export to JPG generates yellow horizontal lines

    yellow lines in all my image exports (PNG / JPG)... When giving it more pixels/inch the lines change position and are less wide.

    Fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign 2021 – that is, InDesign 16.2.1

    In the Creative Cloud Desktop application, click on the Updates section on the left. You should be able to see the Update available for InDesign. Please update your InDesign application to this version to try out the fix.

  19. Exported PNGs or JPEGs RGB Colors Slightly Different Versus Illustrator Export For Screens

    So here is the situation and setup.

    Illustrator File with Pantone Colors (Book LAB colors)
    Color Settings are synced via Bridge (NA General Purpose)
    Illustrator file is in CMYK Mode

    In Illustrator File is exported to PNG (via Exported for Screens)

    In InDesign the same Illustrator file is placed in InDesign and then Exported as PNG file.

    When looking at the attached image the RGB values are slightly different most noticeably in the red. When looked at with the eyedropper in PS the CMYK values read as the same on both but the RGB is slightly different.

  20. IDML export ruins vertical Rulers on Masterpages

    Bug.

    Placed vertical Rulers on right handed Masterpage are jumping to the left handed Masterpage saved as idml.

    Need to be fixed.
