2. Split columns not working in cell

   The span/split column paragraph setting doesn't work if the text happens to be inside a cell.

   So you can't have your paragraph split into two columns inside a table.

3. Disappearing text when I type the character ,,T"

   So, I have an InDesign file, which is a brandbook for a partner. Few paragraph styles and some items, nothing secial. I use Prompt (Google font) installed on my system. As soon as I hit (smallcaps) T when writing the text OR becomes unvisible or it breakes to the basic paragraph style AND it wont display the T. IF I copy and paste the text from outside of InDesign then it displays T. And the All Caps T works as well. This bugg is really annoying. Could you look into this issue?

   I'm on MacOS BigSur 11.2.3
   and latest InDesign 16.1

   The issue is present on bought of my machines, so its not caused by specific hardvare. (bought are MacOS BigSur, so it could be OS realted).

4. Missing strikethrough, replace text, and highlight options on share for review web link

   We're using the public (with password) share for review option for our annual report because we didn't want one-time reviewers to have to make an account.

   I thought that's why I was only seeing the draw and thumbtack options on the online review. But after updating InDesign the options appeared today. And then they disappeared again and I can't get them to come back.

   I hope this feature can be fixed. It was so much easier to make the updates from the comments then emailed edits and scans of people markups that they PDF'd.

   We had one other issue before, but I don't know it it's been fixed. My boss wanted me to start the review even though we were missing content in the middle of the report.

   When the middle info was added, the comments for pages after the middle section were marked on the middle pages. For example, a comment on page 25 stayed on page 25 even though the text was now on page 30.

5. [ID-4216880]Placed graphic displays and exports outside stroke.

   A placed graphic will show onscreen and in graphic exports like PNG and JPG outside the stroke when the stroke is aligned to the inside of the frame. InDesign 2020 and earlier. To reproduce: place a graphic, add a stroke to the frame, align stroke to inside, export the page to jpg or png. A thin portion of the image is visible outside the stroke. Obviously, this is most noticeable when the stroke is thick and white.

6. Color Destination (Dot Gain %) doesn't work on INDB export to PDF

   Dot Gain exports from InDesign Book Panel do not convert (PDF remains full-colour).

   Steps to reproduce:
   1. Export to PDF from Book panel
   2. Convert to Destination > Dot Gain 15%
    
   Result: Full-colour images
   Expected: B&W images
    
   System info
       Application: InDesign v16.3.0.5
       OS: macOS v11.2.3, RAM: 16.00 GB, CPUs (logical): 8

7. Compound path stroke incorrect

   InDesign version 16.1 macOS. Haven't tested Windows, could be same.
   Steps to reproduce:
   In a new document, create a box.
   Create a second, smaller box, inside the first box.
   Select both and create a compound path (Object menu, Paths, Create Compound Path).
   Select the object.
   Give it a large stroke, for example, 10 points.
   Set align stroke to outside shape.
   Result: smaller, inner box (the "hole") has the stoke going same direction as larger box, when it should be reversed, going "outward" (toward the hole) instead of into the shape.

8. Library panel not registering licensed images

   Hi, for a while now the Library panel does not register when I license an image from Adobe Stock. I search for an image and place a watermarked thumbnail into the document (InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop). When the draft is approved I click on the license image icon on the image in the Library (or on the thumbnail image in the document) and the license process happens but the library does to update to show the licensed image. I have to go to Adobe stock in a web browser, find the specific library and download the image manually. The cloud icon at bottom left of the panel says the library is up to date, but it clearly is not and there seems to be no way to force an update.
   I'm using the latest 2021 versions of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and update with every release. This has been happening over the last couple of releases.

9. save document

   I have InDesign 16.0 with a Dell Windows 10 platform. When i use the file->save option InDesign randomnly chooses the folder from all of the document folders opened during the current session for the document to be saved in, rather than the existing folder where the document to be saved originated. Since on any given day, i might have opened 10 documents in 10 different folders, i have remember EVERY document worked on to hunt for my file. It used to be that if i used file->save InDesign would automatically target the source folder from which the document opened.

10. publish online

    When I try to view my published document, I just get arbitrary website information such as below. The same issue when I try to view my Published documents dashboard.

11. Share for Review -Disappearing tools

    I have Indesign 16.0.
    On my first test of share for review, all the tools appeared.
    after saving it they disappeared. Then I saw that save as function disrupts the process.
    Then I signed out of my account and rebooted.
    When I signed back in the tools were there again.
    I opened another document (made in InDesign 16.0) and the tools were gone.

    THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
    How do I get the tools to stay consistently?

12. InDesign 2021 crashes when opening some panels

    For example, I select some text and click to open the Hyperlinks panel. ID crashes straight away.

    Or I select an anchored object, right click to select Anchored Object > Options. The panel comes up with 'Inline' selected and then I click on 'Above Line'. It crashes straight away.

    I've had a similar problem working in tables, when I right click to delete a row, it crashes immediately.

    I've had to go back to 2020 to be able to work on some of my documents.

13. Self-closes or crashes when computer sleeps

    InDesign 15.1.1
    Windows 10
    After putting computer to "Sleep", InDesign is closed upon wakening the computer. Sometimes says "crashed" (10% of the time). Other Adobe applications are still open where left off.

14. Hidden characters not showing

    Hidden characters are not showing up in version 16.1, either from keyboard shortcut or from drop down menu. I ensure that overprint preview is not on and I'm in normal mode (not preview mode). If I quit and restart InDesign they come back for a bit but then disappear again.

15. Page/Spread Duplicate and Place doesn't work after last update update

    When duplicating pages (or spreads) using Option (on Mac) and dragging inside "Pages" window, it no longer allows you to drag this duplicate anywhere in the page order list, but all the way at the end. This is extremely inefficient now and a lot more work to re-organize pages again after the duplicate is made. This is frustrating since this was a feature before and now it's gone. Please, bring it back.

16. Exported PDF closes automatically

    Since updating to InDesign 16.2 the Export PDF function with "View PDF after exporting" option checked does open the pdf in Preview (macOS Big Sur 11.2.3) but it closes it automatically before the user can interact with it.

18. Fit frame to content not working for text

    I recently updated to the newest version of InDesign (v 16.0) and "fit frame to content" is not working properly for any of my text boxes. It is leaving about 0.13in at the top of all of my text, and is making aligning in my layout extremely difficult. I double checked to make sure my baselines are set to 0 and my text boxes are set to Align to top, but nothing seems to be fixing it.

    The bug has been already reported, it's been claimed to be fixed a while back, but actually still persists. I personally never had this problem before, but after updating to v16 a few weeks ago I get it now.

    Typing "T" just selects the type tool very briefly, then changes back to the previous tool. Clicking inside a text frame has the same result, even if you get to select some part of the text, it just changes back to the previous tool in most of the cases. The only way to get it work, is to select the tool in the sidebar, however even there it takes several seconds to become active.

20. Can not open an IDML file

    I lost the .indd file and unable to open the file in .idml. He tells me that InDesign does not support this type of file or an extension is missing. ??? Yet everything works normally for other .idml files
