1. Vector graphics distorted and broken - Cause unkown

   I don't know what prior action or command let to this bug but almost all my Vector graphics were suddenly distorted and broken. Some Small circles changed size and I couldn't scale in down anymore. See pictures. Exportet pdf files show the same distorted graphics.

   Adobe Indesign 2025 on a MacBook Pro 2021, Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB macOS Sonoma 14.1.2.

2. Paragraph shading randomly disappears in some places when working in Indesign

   Expected result: the shading is always displayed as it is applied in the settings.

   Actual result: after making an adjustment, the shading disappears in some places and the shading edges that are displayed are not the actual edges, which makes it impossible to make accurate changes in the shading. When a pdf is made, the shading looks how it should look, so no issues there. It is merely when working in Indesign that the display of the shading is faulty. At first, when opening the Indesign file, the shading is displayed correctly, but when a change is made in the (shading of) the area, the shading breaks up, so you can't see what you are actually doing.

   Reproduce: make an adjustment in the shaded area. Text in columns, anchored objects in text, placed images, shading merged. The more anchored objects are inserted, the more the paragraph shading breaks up. (The line and paragraph numbering in the text in the attached example are anchored objects.)

4. Inset spacing no longer working after re-installing InDesign 2025

   I re-installed InDesign 2025 because some windows were blank ('Text Wrap', 'Paragraph' & 'Colour'). It solved that issue but developed a new issue - it wouldn't save. So I re-installed again without keeping any settings/preferences, this time it developed a new issue - Inset spacing no longer works.
   What is going on?

5. Text wrap - select subject - cancelling progress causes crash

   Clicking an image/object, choosing wrap around object shape and then type: Select subject will bring up the progress bar whilst it thinks about it. If you choose to cancel the progress then indesign crashes without an error code or crash dialogue.

   Have tried on 2024/2025 windows 10 and 11 and bug persists.

8. Publish Online: if forbidden character in the document name, the name has to be filled in again

   To me it’s okay that “special characters” are not allowed in the title of a "publish Online" document.

   But if a user gets this message, his/her title is completely deleted and he/she has to fill out the title again. Although there’s maybe only one forbidden character in it.

   Annoying. Any chance to change this?

10. Missing character in CentSchbook CE font in InDesign2025

    Yesterday, while working in Indesign 2025, white spaces appeared in the imported text where the letter "r" should be - one character suddenly disappeared! Even in the font set there is a white space instead (see picture). I tried this set in Word and it continues to appear there. It also appears when I try it in the old version of Indesign CS4. Not here in ID2025. However, about two days ago I was already creating documents in ID2025 with this font set and there was no problem. This is a current problem that I need to resolve immediately. Thanks for the feedback.

11. Brush Strokes

    Strokes should be more variable, like in Illustrator. I miss brush strokes. I'd like to create some stroke styles myself. For some Corporate Designs it is crucial to have.

12. InDesign 20.0. Randomly crashes (haven't had this problem before). Could be a few minutes after opening the program or working on a file

    InDesign 20.0 on iMac. Randomly crashes (haven't had this problem with any previous versions). Could be a few minutes after opening the program or while working on a file. Very random but too often. I reset preferences, ran disk utility, et al.

    We have released InDesign 2025(v20.2.0.036) with many stability fixes. We recommend you upgrade to the latest version (if you’re not already on it) as it is more robust.

    If you still face this issue even after updating, please submit the crash report to us. (Guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html )

    Also, please send the following information to santalwa@adobe.com :

    • Reproducible Steps – What were you doing when InDesign crashed?
    • Video recording of the crash

13. quote mark position in RTL paragraph when Arabic and English text mixed and line break

    InDesign 20.2 (ME)

    In a paragraph where there is text contained within opening and closing quote marks and that text has a mixture of Arabic and English words, if that text happens to be at the end of a line and automatically flows to the next line then the positions of the quote marks reverses and are incorrect. If I force a line beak then it fixes itself, but it leaves me with text in one line that is shorter than it should be.

    This problem also appeared a few versions back, can't recall exactly when, a year or more I think, but then seemed to be resolved in a later update.

14. Serious Error when Importing Paragraph Styles

    InDesign 20.2 crashes with a "serious error" every single time I try to import paragraph styles from another document. I'm using macOS 14.6.1. No problems when using the previous version of InDesign. Boy, you guys really messed this one up.

16. Display issue in Normal View

    1) InDesign 2023 18.5.3, Sequoia 15.2, iMac Apple M1
    2) Going from Preview mode to Normal mode
    3) I expect to see my Normal mode correctly
    4) See attached files

    These are different files over 6 months. They are not supposed to have big color frames like that. Display is OK in preview, not in normal mode.
    Going back and forth between the two does not resolve this.
    I have to change page and sometimes it's ok. Sometimes I have to close the file and open it back.

17. automatic page numbering broken

    Indesign 2025 update has broken automatic page numbering?

    When I open one of my indb's the chapters page panels have the folios correct BUT the actual page section start at 1.

    I am having to use "start page numbering". This is yet another task introduced by a feature broken on an InDesign update!

18. links not clickable on publish online link

    When I publish my document online, Hyperlinks are not clickable. When the document is viewed as a PDF, links ARE clickable. All text is ungrouped and on the top layer. All hyperlinks are properly embedded (again, they work in the PDF and this is purely an issue with the Publish Online link). Running the latest Indesign 20.2 on Mac Sonoma 14.7

19. publish online errors

    Publish Online buttons are not working correctly now.
    Exporting as HTML, PDF or ePub has them working but online version most of the buttons show content from all buttons at once!?

20. InDesign 20.2

    20.2 has broken my Ad Import plugin. The defaults that worked 2 weeks ago don't work.

    The label is not transparent. The box that the ad is in is transparent — it should be white. If I use the Object Style, the ad doesn't resize to fit content to the box.
