1. Adobe Review: automatic adoption of text suggestions and incorrect filter behavior

   When I receive comments on replacing text or deleting text sections via Adobe Review and these are displayed in Adobe InDesign 20.0, the display switches to comments with the status clarified. After each correction, which cannot be accepted with approval but must be made manually, I have to set the filter in the control panel back to unresolved comments to work on.
   It would be desirable for a filter to only be set in the control panel when I activate it. I would also like options for inserting, replacing or deleting text to be applied with a click and not have to be done manually.

2. Not working window tiling introduced in macOS 15

   MacOS 15 Sequoia introduced window tiling, which lets you arrange windows on the screen in tiles.

   This automatically works for any window of any app on my Mac. It also works for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator windows, as long as «Application Frame» is activated in the window menu.

   But window tiling does not work with windows of Adobe InDesign v20. Even with active «Window Frame».

3. Inserting PDF-comments removes OpenType superscript formatting of endnote references

   When a PDF-comment is accepted and inserted into the text, the formatting of the following endnote reference(s) with OpenType superscript position is removed.

   This applies only to numbers with at least two digits and affects only the last digit(s). When another PDF-comment is inserted into the Paragraph, the problem occurs again.

   The formatting is applied through a Character Style and while the Character Style remains applied, the formatting of the OpenType superscript position is visually removed.

   A workaround is to apply the Character Style to the character(s) following the endnote reference. This is not always possible, so often the thinnest space (an 'invisible' character) has to be added behind the endnote reference to be able to apply this workaround. When another PDF-comment is added into the same Paragraph, another 'invisible' character needs to be inserted to fix it again. The problem seems to shift equally to the number of PDF-comments inserted into the text.

   Of course this bug and workaround costs a lot of extra time and therefore money, plus it negatively affects the relationship with the client.

4. View on open document fades to pure grey (i.e. the chosen background color)

   Happens frequently, mostly after some actions just after the opening of the app. See attached screenshot with applied "select all" command to show something.
   Temporary solution: Reopen document. But that is still irritating for a mature application.

6. Basic question re the difference between indesign and illustrator

   I subscribed to indesign to view and be able to manipulate work done by a designer. He sent me his .ai - .psd files done with illustrator.

   Everything, including .jpg are un openable.
   Is it normal I can't open his drawings?

   I can select Unformatted Table and it works, but I need Formatted Table.

9. Data Merge Issue with Chinese Characters in Adobe InDesign 2025

   Steps to Reproduce the Issue

   Open Adobe InDesign and create a new document.
   Prepare a CSV file with Traditional Chinese text using UTF-8 encoding.
   Use the Data Merge feature to import the CSV file into InDesign.
   Place the merged data field into the document layout.
   Preview or finalize the merge.
   Expected Result

   The Chinese characters in the CSV file should be displayed correctly in the merged document without any distortion or encoding issues.
   Actual Result

   The Chinese characters appear as garbled text (random symbols or question marks) during the merge preview and in the final output.
   Switching to different fonts (e.g., TrueType, OpenType, or system default fonts) does not resolve the issue.
   Attempts with different encoding formats (UTF-8, UTF-16, etc.) and alternative CSV/text file formats (via Google Sheets, TextEdit) also fail.
   Upgrading to Adobe InDesign 2025 (20.0) Traditional Chinese version does not fix the issue.

10. InDesign 20.0 neihter packaging next to the source file nor replacing images from the original folder

    i'm suffering from a weird problem: nothing wants to use the original folder except the export command. When i try to replace an image the program navigates me to the last used folder unless i've chosen the Original folder option in the Preferences under File Handling menu. Same issue when i try to package a document.

    I've tried to delete all the preferences. ALL of them. I've emptied all the cache. ALL. Uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign: the newly installed app tried to package into the last used folder (!?). The Preferences>File Handling> Default Relink folder menu does nothing. I can switch it but nothing happens...

    Same issue with other apps (Illustrator, PS, etc.).

13. Layers not exporting properly to PDF (v20.0 2025)

    Before the 20.0 2025 update I had a simple ID file with multiple layers. I exported with PDF 1.5 presets, Create Acrobat Layers checked and Export Layers: All Layers chosen. All layers visible in the PDF and opens up in AI as expected, with layers.

    Since the update, same file, same presets etc. I export and all layers still visible in Acrobat, but does not open in AI properly. Instead all laters in one layer, as paths.

14. "Visual Cursor Movement" not working in Arabic in ID 19/19.01

    On previous versions of ID with Arabic support, I could press left arrow to move cursor left, right arrow to move right. In versions 19 and 19.01, the cursor goes to the beginning or next line of Arabic text. So I have to select 'Logical Cursor Movement' under settings but now cursor move the opposite way: left arrow moves cursor right.

16. InDesign 2025 IDML File cannot be placed into InDesign 2024

    When saving a document created / edited in InDesign 2025 as an IDML, the resulting IDML file cannot be placed into an InDesign 2024 document.

    The error dialog states "Cannot place this file. No filter found for requested operation."

17. .ai background not transparant

    Illustrators imports in InDesign are always transparent, ever since i started with it back in the last century. I have tried making it .eps and Tiff without result. What's going on? Can anybody help me?

19. Unable to update a merged file. Error message

    Hello, updating the contents of the fields of an already merged file does not work. Error message from InDesign that cannot open a file. An error message appears and all pages already generated are destroyed.

20. Problema al usar la lupa en pantalla hdmi

    Indesign 19.5
    .Problema con la lupa: cuando uso indesign en la segunda pantalla (hdmi), cundo amplias hace una ampliación máxima y después no permite disminuir, tienes que encajar en pantalla para volver a ver el documento completo. Esto en la pantalla nativa del macbook pro no pasa.
    Este problema no pasa con otros programas de adobe como ilustrator o photoshop.
