Edge smoothing in Indesign 16.3.2 creates lines where there should be none!
Something that is extremely annoying and obstructive when designing. This was once different and better!
No matter if e.g. black or dark frames with white "narrow - narrow" outline or areas that cover others, hairlines appear everywhere where there shouldn't be any.
I don't know with which update this has crept in. But it nevt infinitely and it was no improvement.
The only way to get rid of these lines is to disable edge smoothing completely. But then you have a pixelated view with the charm of the 80s. So this is not an alternative either!

New Document UI Bug - Spec Tabbing
When creating a New Document...
After you type your Width and hit the tab button it should always toggle next to Height, NOT toggle to Units. This is a UI bug that has come and gone numerous times over the years. I can not conceive of any situation a designer who is working quickly would ever decide to adjust their Units after they have put in their Width specs.Please correct this.... again

CC2021: Alternate text for hyperlinks
I am reposting this from https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/38972206-cc2020-alternate-text-for-hyperlinks
Because despite Adobe's claim it is STILL NOT FIXED IN 2021 16.2.1
"In CC2020 a new function for writing alternate text for links was introduced.
Using this function and generating a PDF Leeds to wrong PDF notation. The alt text in PDF is presented by alt text, which is forbidden in the PDF world, where alt text only should be used for non text elements, e.g. pictures. By presenting only the alt text the accessibility is lost – this is against the goal to hav a better output!A correct output would lead to…

Rendering bug on second monitor
Just updated to Illustrator 16.2.1 and discovered a bug I didn't have last week. This is reproducible even over a restart. What I'm doing: opening two documents and moving one to a second monitor to compare the layouts. MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core i9 Radeon Pro 560X 4GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536MB. When I move a window to the second monitor (the Intel card), the display first is very large (one page, as opposed to spread view). Then as soon as I scroll, the content rendering gets corrupted. It might be totally upside down; or it might smear during scroll.…

InDesign 16.2.1 completely broken (Big Sur)
16.2.1 completely broken/unusable on Big Sur. View continually jumps around and fractures, whether you're interacting with the program or not. The moment you zoom/drag to the view you want, it jumps and fractures to another view. Had to revert.

InDesign jpg Export
When I export a jpg from InDesign (16.1) (it doesn't matter if I export it in low or high resolution) the exported jpg shows some "glitches". This error occours only if I export pixel images. I can fix this when i copy the content from the InDesign file into a Photoshop file and eyport it from there… but this workaround is pretty annoying.

Tables with slanted header row
When tables have long names for column headers, a good design solution is to ***** the header cells and their text, from 20-70 degrees.
The table still needs to be live, editable, and adjustable (both the cells AND text) so that when needed, the headers can be changed from 60 degrees to 45 degrees.
And when exported to PDF and EPUB, it needs to have the required accessibility tag structure:
<Table>
<TR>
<TH> (header)
<TH> (header)
<TH> (header)
<TH> (header)
<TR>
<TD> (data)
<TD> (data)
<TD> (data)
<TD> (data)See attached screen cap of slanted column headers.
All we can…

magnification copy
Indesign 16.2.1 x64
If I select some text to copy, then change the magnification, then Ctrl+C, move the curser to a new point in the text and Ctrl+V, it pastes the magnification, not the text.
Not a major problem, but one has to ask "why?". I expected it to copy the text, not the workspace.1 vote -
footnotes bug
How do I get footnote #1 in my screenshot to show up with footnotes #2 and #3 at the bottom of the page. For the life of me, I cannot find a setting that makes this possible. Thank you in advance.

Koreans have to press the spacebar twice when using InDesign
When typing Korean in InDesign, you need to press the spacebar twice.If you've ever used InDesign in Korean, you'll find this kind of work is very annoying. This issue did not appear in CS6 and earlier versions of CC. So, for Koreans who use InDesign, the InDesign CC version is a disaster.
This problem cannot be solved by using any option in InDesign, and Koreans are using unverified sub software to solve this problem. And many Koreans are wondering why InDesign is a step backwards from the previous version and doesn't solve even these basic problems.
It seems it's been…
