This is a long standing issue I really wish Adobe would get a hold of. Whenever you retain an older version of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator it seems that the file associations get overridden as soon as one of the older versions get updated. The only way to resolve is to uninstall the version you want as your default and then reinstall it.
This could be resolved if there was a feature in the Creative Cloud App to set the default version of any given Adobe app where more than one version is installed. The native functionality in Windows 10's Default App screen is a pile of rubbish not fit for purpose so we really need something to fix this.
