  1. [ID-4219714]CEPHtmlEngine maxes out CPU to 100%

    macOS Catalina 10.15.5. and InDesign. 15.1.1.

    Massive problem with CEPHtmlEngine Helper. After a while, my MacBook Pro fan is running high and in the activity window, CEPHtmlEngine Helper is running between 90 and 100%. It is no fun to work with a system that runs crazy.
    Why? Solution needed.

  2. InDesign 17.0.1 Background Tasks Icon in Dark Mode

    In the new InDesign 17.0.1, the background task swirl is black instead of white in dark mode. (please see attached). Thx!

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2023(v18.2.1.455) as it is more robust and contains a lot of bug fixes.

    We seek your support in our continual effort to improve InDesign.

    The new version of INDesign just doesn't work.
    Installed.
    Now uninstalling.
    It continually keeps being unresponsive.
    Another error now on Cloud, suggesting relancing it as it's taking .longer than normal.

    Poor from Adobe to launch yet another bug fix that's even more buggy

  5. Can no longer change fonts in the glyph table

    Can no longer change fonts within the glyph table.

    It used to be possible to have a character selected and change fonts or typefaces in the glyph table to discover where that character exists in another font. Now it only reverts to whatever paragraph or character style is already applied and doesn't allow the font to be changed.

  6. Find/change 15.1.3, Windows 10

    Find/change does not work when a character style (e.g. italic) is selected.
    Have closed program and started it again, and it works for words selected, but could not get it to find this question mark character ?, nor would it change format of a word to italics when this was selected under the Find Format and/or Change Format boxes. Following this I also found it would not find a selected word with no formatting changes requested.

  7. 2022 InDesign bugs

    when using ID 2021 and before, When I sized a graphic, say, from 100 to 50%, the info box would say the graphic is now 50%. In ID 2022, when I reduce a graphic, the box says it is 100%. I am not liking this.

    Fill/stroke boxes missing in the swatch panel. You have to go to the left panel to change colours.

  9. Erreur export pdf - Id CC 2022

    Bonjour, impossible d'exporter le fichier Id en fichier pdf ni de partager le document en ligne pour révision depuis in design... Merci si vous savez comment corriger le bug ?

  11. Variable font issues when exporting to PDF

    The "%" sign is showing an issue when I export to PDF. The font works with all other programs and the creators of the font have verified it is made to specification, but InDesign PDF export has an issue with it.

  12. Insering Anchroed text frame object shifts the vowels on referenced Arabic/Persian/Urdu text frame

    Hello there,

    We have only noticed this problem while dealing with Arabic/Persian/Urdu text (regardless of the fonts used). English text works just fine.

    When anchored framed is inserted, the vowels in the Arabic/Persian/Urdu text and sometime evens the characters in the text shift. The foreign text is typically perfectly fine prior to inserting the anchored object however changes. See before and after examples:

  13. Tiff alpha channel not working

    A Tiff exported with Alpha channel from Solid Works do not support the transparency. It works ok when opened with Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. Also working fine in Affinity Photo, Pixelmator Pro, Mac OS Preview and Mac OS Finder.

  14. File saving issue

    When we got an software update the biggest issue in indesign is, it does not save the existing file with the new version rather it open a windows to save the file, andI hate it seriously.

    Indesign 16.2.1 half screen cut red. when adjust windows side by side and then return back, screen cut in half and turn red. After restart it happens again. Whats that? Thanks

  16. Missing highlight, replace, and strikethrough in browser

    Highlight, replace text, and strikethrough are missing from Chrome browser. It works in Firefox and Safari. I don't want to force my clients to use a certain browser. I'm using: macOS 10.15.7, ID 2022 (17.0.1), Chrome 97.x, Firefox 95.0.2 and Safari 15.2.
    I see this issue has come up for others as well but never really resolved. Please help.

  17. Notes anchor marks are rendered incorrectly

    When I place a note, it affects the text box as it's rendered as a normal character.
    That is - it affects the leading, the spacing, the alignment, etc.

    For instance, if I have a top-aligned text box with a paragraph with letter size 9pt, and I place a note somewhere in the paragraph - the entire paragraph will shift downward - as the alignment takes the top of the note anchor as the topmost "pixel" in the text box.

    There is no way this is desirable. Who would want notes to affect their document layout? So I have to…

  18. Publish Online is a total disappointment

    Publish Online is an unreliable source for analytics, one its touted features, and it needs to be resolved immediately.

    Here's an idea: make it function in ANY web browser or get rid of it entirely. I don't care if it has a 90-minute lag time, please just start somewhere and fix this issue. I am so unbelievably frustrated that I was able to provide analytics after one hour of publishing my document and now, three days later, nothing appears. It's embarrassing and humiliating when part of my job relies on this to function as expected and it NEVER does when…

  19. Keyboard not working on startup indd files

    Indd 17.0. x64, 2022. Win 10 latest update 21H1
    When I open some Indd files my keyboard don't working in indesign. I have to push the "win" key and after this, keyboard in Indesign work properly.
