1. Scrolling loop

   I have a scrolling bug in the share for review feature. Even in a small file of 10 pages, when scrolling too quickly up or down. The scroll gets stuck in some kind of loop, only reloading the page seems to solve the problem. Tried on 2 different macbook pro's and an Imac running Big Sur and High Sierra.

   In the attached video, you first see me scrolling 'gently' which doesn't cause any problems, but after 'flicking' the mouse pad / magic mouse a few times it gets stuck in this loop.

3. Display bug – garbled font randomly show up

   InDesign 16.4 on macOS Big Sur 11.5.1

   When flipping through pages I get this strange font display issue. See screenshots.
   It happens randomly. Not on every page but at least once every 10 pages.

   I can simply turn preview on and off or go to the next page and back to make the page behove normally again but this should not be necessary.

   This happens with all fonts.
   This happens every day.
   This happens on my colleagues computers as well. They are running various versions of indesign of various version of MacOS.
   This has been happening in at least the last three or four versions of InDesign.

   And, yes, we have tried resetting preferences, restarting, reinstalling, etc

   Any explanation for this stange behaviour?

4. Bug: When mapping styles to tags and overriding all parent page items text boxes resize on M1 macbook pro

   This bug only happens on my M1 Max MacBook pro. I have InDesign (17.2.1) fully updated to the latest version and my MacBook is also fully updated to the latest version. I have had this issue on previous versions since having the M1 mac. This also happens when overriding all parent page items.

   When I map styles to tags it resizes some of the text boxes. I have an iMac pro that I have tested this on and it doesn't happen. I have also had other people open it on various apple computers and it isn't an issue.

   I have also noticed it when opening some InDesign files that were created in the same InDesign version just on non-M1 chip computers. There is no consistency with these, so I can't give specifics.

5. inaccurate view

   Latest version of InDesign does not show an accurate view. At 100% view or ACTUAL SIZE, it is significantly larger. I was on with Adobe tech services for about an hour as he tried to find a fix. He noticed that the problem does not happen with older versions of InDesign, only the latest version (17.2.1)

   The issue does not exist in Illustrator or Photoshop.

6. freeze when resizing svg

   v 17.2.1 x64, Windows 10
   When I manually resize a linked SVG (in a "X" frame), the interface freezes for a couple minutes, then unfreezes.

7. "O" button popup is blocking use of small text box anchorpoint.

   This problem happens when attempting to resize small rectangle text boxes (smaller than .9") with the bottom/center anchorpoint. When clicking directly on the anchorpoint, instead of being able to drag it up or down to resize, a small pop-up box appears by the "O" symbol that has a check box for "All Small Caps." this disallows me to resize. I'm not clicking the "O." I'm clicking directly on the bottom/center anchorpoint.

   This problem affects my workflow every time I use Indesign. I have to instead use the top anchorpoint and reposition. Please reconfigure where the "O" button appears on a text box because it gets in the way of the bottom/center anchorpoint on so many text boxes.

   In Preferences dialog > Advanced Type, there is an option at the bottom called 'Show Adornment...'

   
   

   Uncheck this option to stop showing "O" on selected Text Frame.

9. Paragraph styles removed when importing docx files while doc files retain styles correctly.

   Using the latest InDesign 2022 (17.2.1) for Mac (The Middle Eastern version--the one that shows English and Hebrew), both on an M1 Mac mini and a late 2015 iMac running Big Sur.

   Import a docx Microsoft Word file into an InDesign file (tried with blank new document as well as one of our templates) with the import settings set to bring in all styles.

   The file is imported but the import has stripped all styles from the document.

   Resave the docx file as a doc file.

   Import new file into ID, which results in all styles being visible as is expected.
   It is my understanding that a restart may also help, but is required each time.

   I can submit a file as needed.

10. jpeg export different RGB numbers

    I drew a blue box in indesign. colour #001f54
    Exported jpeg, the blue box is now #192451

    The file is set to RGB. No matter the profile or colour setting picked it exports as the wrong blue.

    I'm on 17.2.1

    I tried using 16.0
    And no matter what profile I get a different blue (#002055)

12. Export and Package dialog window not working when menu items are colored

    Export and Package dialog window not working when menu items are colored.
    If you customize the Export or Package menu item by making it a color under Edit-> Menus... , the dialogs that open contain drop-down menus that are not editable. You can't pick the PDF preset or the format for the packaged document. This can be replicated across different MacOS operation systems and hardware configurations. If you remove the color from the menu items the functionality returns.

14. Some hyperlinks/cross-references lost in HTML export

    When exporting a document containing hyperlinks and/or cross-references to HTML, some hyperlinks are lost.

    See the screenshot of an example InDesign document attached. (This is an anonymised excerpt from a much larger document.) The index item at the bottom contains cross-references to numbered/lettered paragraphs in the text above.

    In the actual HTML output files from both InDesign 2020 and 2021, some of those cross-references have not been correctly converted into hyperlinks. (Compare the links in the expected HTML output file.)

    Ugly workaround: insert extra characters immediately before and after each distinct hyperlink/cross-reference. In the actual 'bookended links' HTML file you can see that I have inserted a $-sign before/after each hyperlink, and the links have been exported correctly. The $-sign can then be removed by search/replace in a text editor to produce the correct HTML (this is how the expected HTML file was created).

    When it happens in a document, it happens consistently: the same hyperlinks are lost each time – but within the document there seems to be no pattern to the links that stick and the links that disappear once exported.

    This example has been tested in InDesign 16.4 x64 and 15.1.4 x64 on Windows 10 and 16.3.2 on macOS Big Sur and the results are the same in each.

15. All resolved comments disappeared

    Overnight all resolved comments and their respective users disappeared from the Review panel. When switching the filter no comments are shown anymore and i can't get them back in neither scenario (logging in the CC online and looking in the review link, looking in InDesign itself and so on). Is there any chance to get those resolved comments back? They haven't been deleted neither, either the client or I resolved those through both ways and the day before everything was there and viewable with the respective filter. Without them it's nearly impossible to keep a backlog of all the changes.

16. Incorrect index alphabetical order - Hungarian, Czech, Slovak..

    Indexes for several languages do not sort correctly even if sort setting is changed to correct language.

    This impacs on letters with accents, umlauts etc.

    Please can you fix?

17. shift-enter - tabs palette inconsistent with other palettes

    In previous versions of Indesign (I have just now tested in CS4) you could press shift-enter in the tabs palette and focus would remain on the tab setting. This would allow you to easily enter a precise value and move the tab stop. Pressing Ctrl-Shift-Enter would do the same but add a new tab stop. This meant you could easily add tabs at precise stops right from the keyboard without having to double click in the box every time. This would also make the behaviour consistent with the other palettes where shift-enter applies the value but keeps focus.

18. InDesign 2022 (17.1) quick keys not working

    I recently updated to 2022 and now the cmd, option, shift keys no longer work for moving/dragging/resizing with constraints, etc. This is pretty major functionality.

20. Language.

    My InDesign is in Hungarian.
    I would like to have it in English.
    I have uninstalled.
    I have changed language preferences.
    I have installed.
    It remained in Hungarian.
    I have done this 3 times today. It was very boring. This is not a service.
    Your chat support told me this is because I use my Windows in Hungarian.
    This is ridiculous. This is a bug. You must fix it.
    If I change the app to English it should be English for good no matter what my Windows is using.
    E.g. Photoshop is in English!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
