Change the page size
When changing the page size, the current page content is centered relative to the new size. Or it would be nice, if I could choose to attach current content to one of the corners of the page, the same way I can choose the transformation anchor point (the square with the nine anchor points)
9 votesThanks for this suggestion. I need a little more information in trying to understand this request a bit more:
1. Is the situation that you have created a design already or have an existing design and now need to change the page size. Any description on why you need to change the page would be helpful.
2. How drastic is the page size change. Is it just a minor change or is it something like changing from portrait mode to landscape.
3. Please share links to any screenshot of the document where you recently needed this feature. This would help us better understand this request. -
Footnotes from all text frames and tables on every page
My booklets almost always have a complex layout with some (2-5) tables with visible or invisible borders and (2-5) text frames on one page.
I need there a consistent numbering of footnotes at the end of the page or spread from all tables and text frames on that page (separate for every page). I.e. real footnotes for the whole page not for a single text frame.A lot of people for sure have the same issue.
New endnotes feature in October 2017 update does not resolve the problem at all.
This input may be closely related to “Please make it possible to insert footnotes in Tables” as people voting for that topic may mean also this expanded issue.

Universal UI & Export Feature
Can it please be possible to export your workspace to then import it onto another computer so we don't have to re-arrange everything every time we move or have to reinstall?
It would be even better if when we log into our Adobe ID on any device, that our own workspace arrangement loads.

Provide Ability to Print Selection
Where I work, we create printed publications and also design advertisements for these publications. All of our advertisements are designed in a document using a standard InDesign template with a grid. This template is the same size as our publications and is larger than the standard letter size page dimensions that we like to print our proofs. The problem is that in order to print proofs on letter size paper, the ad must always be shrunk because of the larger document template dimensions. So, the ad always appears much small than it really is when printed. We could just simply design each ad in the top left corner of the document and print actual size with appropriate positioning, however, we also use a slug, that must appear on each printed proof.
Simply put, we consistently have the need to print InDesign artwork that is significantly smaller than the larger InDesign document page that we design on. The ability to print a selection would allow us to print our artwork at actual size, without shrinking to accommodate the larger document page size.
Additionally, this same feature would be helpful when exporting a pdf, for the same reason.

play video without controls
Please make it possible to hide the controls of a video clip - so its working in Publish online (right now its only working in PDF exports.
With this we could make amazing publish documents with integrated video backdrops of skys, fires or rain.. With all the NON VIDEO CONTROL goodness.
What im trying to say is video without controls can do magical things (like we could back in the good days of ... Flash.. the good days right... :)

Please allow font size larger than 1296 pt
I often have to create large posters with a single 3-digit price and 1296pt font isn't cutting it. I have to outline and then enlarge which is a pain when changes need to be made but it i also cannot standardize this element with a style, master page or template. Same for illustrator.

add flowchart feature (or plug-in) for family trees
Making family trees is very popular yet the supposedly cover-all creative suite doesn't do it!

BUG/Feature: Make "Fit Frame to Content" finally work with rotated/skewd content
This is an oversight for…like how many versions?
Try to rotate your image inside your picture box, and use Object » "Fit Frame to Content".
Normally, with no modification with the content, the feature works well. But if theres rotation, geez, its way off!

Indexes
When creating an Index, you are limited to populate ONLY one Index style format. If you want create more Indexes like the Index format, you can't, you are forced to use the Table of Contents style. Look at MS Word, you can create a General Index, a Index of Cases and Index of Figures.
My suggestion: improve the Index function with the ability to create multiple Indexes, that follow the actual Index format (not the Table of Contents Format)

Isolate levels in a group
Be able to double click to reach a group object but isolate all the objects in that grouping level, e.g:
You have a placed graphic with flyouts or annotations but if its grouped and more often than not you have to double-click edit and exit the group and keep double-clicking until you reach your desired object.9 votes -
Extended "apply next stlye" feature
I'm looking for a feature where you can force-apply the "next style".
tl;dr: Force the "apply next style" to existing and already style paragraphs.
For example: When you create a headline-style and define another stlye as following "next stlye" everything is fine as long as you enter your text in InDesign. But if you're working with a text that is already written you don't want to use the option "apply style and next stlye" with every single headline. I want it to be automated.
What I want is: A feature that forces any already styled paragraphes to apply the next style for the next paragraph.
There is already a script called "Change Consecutive Paragraphs" by id-extras. It does the job but it's another 50$. It would be really helpful if it was a default feature.
PS: Sorry, English isn't my mother tongue.I'm looking for a feature where you can force-apply the "next style".

So many bugs. Fix them. Like Package, or being able to use GPU performance to name a couple.
When will an update be available to fix some or all of the issues with InDesign CC 2017? It is not worth the monthly fee as is.
9 votesSorry Barry seeing you face so many issues with InDesign. We are working towards making InDesign a more stable application and also fixing behavioural issues.
What would really help if you can submit any bugs/issues that you are facing along with the steps, this would help the team reproduce the issues internally. Please follow the below link to file Bugs for InDesign.

Links panel - use arrow keys to view each linked file's attributes
Often in large documents i like to check the attributes (ex. color space, effective PPI, etc.) of each linked file in the "Links" panel before packaging everything for the print company. Would be really nice to be able to use the arrow keys to move up and down this list instead of having to click on each file individually.

Convert graphics from RGB to CMYK
I use InDesign for a lot of print layout, and often graphics used/supplied (stock, photographs, etc.) are in RGB format. But for print I need these in CMYK format, and since ideas for which graphics to use and layouts change often before finalization I wait until the final OKs are given before converting graphics to CMYK.
The way I see this working is through the "Links" tab, although perhaps it could be done through the "Package..." function. In the Links tab, it would give me the option of right-clicking an RGB file and within that popup menu give me the option to convert the source file to CMYK. That way I don't have to open everything individually in Photoshop, convert the files then save them.
Otherwise, if this could be done through "Package..." that could work as well. Upon first exporting the Export dialog box warns about all RGB files that are linked. Perhaps there could be a checkbox somewhere to either convert the source files to CMYK, or just collect the linked files then convert them to CMYK thus leaving the source files as RGB?

Title Case button (and options) in the Control Panel
After adding the much appreciated Lower Case button in the Control Panel there is an awkward empty space there. It would be great to add the Title Case button there as it is a widely used application of case styling.
Along with the button it would be good to have options for the title case that could be opened with an ALT/OPT-click on the Title case button. This would be great in conjunction with FR https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests/suggestions/37521424-improve-title-case
Having the possibility to exclude certain words from the title case is needed as there are several styles of how to write Title Case: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Title_case
Giving the user the possibility to define the words themselves that should be omitted allows for maximum flexibility.

A preference option to skip all tours
Tour popups about History Panel and Hide Spreads fonction appears about once a day. This seems like a small detail but no, it is annoying. Thank you.

Stop turning all your products into Canva
The pop ups and changes to the UI are unnecessary and disruptive to decades of established workflow. Stop treating your established customer base like they're idiots and not design professionals. If wanted to use Canva I would.

InDesign Review Panel should NOT switch the filter to 'Resolved' when editing text with older resolved comments
I am often working on documents with multiple review sessions. The problem that occurs since the latest updates of InDesign is that as soon as I put the cursor in a piece of text which previously had a comment attached to it which is resolved, all resolved comments pop up in the comments panel and I cannot see the current comments: all comments are immediately filtered to 'resolved'. Of course I can switch off the filter for resolved comments again, but it switches back again to 'resolved comments' as soon as I start working on the text. This is driving me nuts, because it is not only annoying, it becomes very difficult to work on the unresolved comments and takes up a lot of time. As a work around I now have to open the online document with the current unresolved comments to track down what actually still needs to be resolved. Apparently this is 'as designed', but this is driving designers crazy. Please help!
More details and screen recordings can be found in this discussion on the Adobe Community: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-review-panel-automatically-filters-to-resolved-comments-when-editing-text/td-p/14619901I am often working on documents with multiple review sessions.
