   For the past few days, the InDesign panel frame has been showing up but the content is empty. Only certain panels (alignment) are not visible. It doesn't show up even if I reset it.

2. Adobe Fonts not accessible in interactive PDFs

   Bug: Adobe Fonts are corrupting when using the Acrobat accessibility tools.

   I am making interactive PDFs from an InDesign document and Adobe Fonts corrupt upon opening in Acrobat, but just for the accessible features. (e.g., screeenreaders). I have tried clearing the cache, re-installing apps, Adobe customer support reps, etc and no one can fix the issue. I suspect it is due to licensing restrictions on editing font files - something is sending the signal that the Adobe Font is being edited when Accessibility Tools are used in Acrobat, but this should be allowed when the intention is to make the document accessible.

   1. Adobe InDesign 19.5.4 (also tried previous versions such as 20.4.1)
   2. Use Acumin Variable Pro font from Adobe in InDesign, make the document interactive (basic text form fields suffice to replicate the error), export as interactive PDF, open in Acrobat, open a screenreader and hear the corruption or open Accessibility Tools and tag the text (on a non-interactive part) and then see the text is missing letters and there are periods where spaces should be. Also, Acrobat crashes half the time during this process.
   3. Expected result - that Adobe Fonts work as other fonts in this scenario and that exports PDFs using Adobe Fonts can be edited for accessibility without issue.
   4. Crashed app, incomplete work, and failed accessible document.
   5. Can provide test file if you contact me privately (adobe).

3. Close/Minimize/Maximize buttons are hidden under the top menu on Mac OS

   For some reason the very top bar of the InDesign window is hidden underneath the top menu (File, Edit, etc.), making it impossible to minimize or move the window to another monitor. Currently the only solution I've found is to unplug my external monitor's HDMI cable from my Macbook which forces the InDesign window to appear properly.

4. Find/Change | Glyph | Failure to find characters with applied character styles

   Version: Adobe InDesign 19.5.4 and 20.3.1

   I cannot post a .zip here apparently, so I've put my InDesign file.

   Steps to reproduce:
   1. Make a character style that ONLY sets the font to bold.
   2. put down a glyph twice, I used the AE glyph (GID/CID 138).
   3. For one, apply bold manually.
   4. For the other, apply the bold character style.
   5. Open the Find/Change Glyph menu and enter the GID/CID used, along with the font and bold style.

   Expected Result:
   Both of the glyphs would be found

   Actual Result:
   Only the glyph without the character style applied will be found.

   As listed in multiple other reports, managing missing glyphs is a major pain point.

6. Text formatting is lost when copy and paste a text box on the same page or to another page in the same document

   Copy an paste text box, the text formatting is lost in the pasted text box. Reverts to Forte font. Also, cannot change the font in the pasted text box. The font reader will say it is the new chosen font, but the visual of the text is not reflecting the actual font chosen. Have to redraw and rewrite text every time to have the font and formatting desired.

7. Keyboard shortcuts not working

   My keyboard shortcuts frequently quit working. InDesign 2025. If I close the document and re-open it they start working again. Seems like a bug to me.

8. InDesign changes my page size

   Whenever I set up a new document, say 11" X 8.5", auto-select landscape of course applies itself, and I move past that point in the New Document dialog box, InDesign changes my set document specs to whatever was previously selected for the last document size. Why?

   I then have to go back into the page size settings after opening the new document and correct it.

9. GPU crashes indesign

   I put a shiny new 5070TI 16 GB into my PC, and GPU preview goes crazy. Animated zooming don't work at all and crashes my Indesign. I have cleaned drivers, installed latest one. Reinstalled Indesign! Indesign sees my card (but only 4 gigs) - my expirience is awfull... I have a lerge 5k monitor - if it helps... Latest indesign 20.4.1

10. Reapply the master without losing information in text frames from the master

    This is complicated to describe, so I'm going to use a not-so-great example. In PowerPoint you can put "placeholders" on the master pages. If you make a change to the position of the placeholder and update the slide everything moves into the correct position.

    I'd like to be able to do something like that with text frames on the master in InDesign. The problem I'm having is that because I can't have two "primary text frames" on the master, I have to command-shift click to get the second text frame to be active. Once I do that, however, I can never reapply the master, because if I do, the text in the command-shift-clicked frame will disappear. The text in the primary text frame will not.

    Is this something you guys can fix? I understand the idea of primary text flow, so you can't necessarily link things automatically in the second frame - although maybe there could be a way of marking the frames so that they do flow properly.

    The issue is, I'm working on documents for the pharmaceutical industry and they need to run Important Safety Information thoughout the document. This frame would be at the bottom, while the other primary text frame would be at the top.

11. Find/Replace text (date) after using Convert Date to Text function

    I am trying to replace text in multiple stories throughout the document. Each story is formatted with text and tabs (not a table). The find/change uses the FIND/CHANGE>TEXT option. I am searching for "28 May 2025" to change it to "2 July 2025". When I search, find, find/change, and change all, the results append the page number in triplicate in front of the leading date digit. For example, page 9 (attached) is "0909092 July 2025" and page 42 is "4242422 July 2025". When I copied the text to include in this report (see attached), only date date is captured in the clipboard (2 July 20v25).

    The reason I was doing this is I wanted to change the date to a output date Text Variable. I had hoped text variables were part of find change: the find is available in GREP, but not in the Change To options.

    So, just prior to producing the error above, I added the Output Date in the position I wanted. I could not copy the variable and use it in the Change To field, so I used the Covert Variable to Text that one instance of the output date. I copied the text '2 July 2025", and used the basic Find/Change>Text intending to change "28 May 2025" to change it to "2 July 2025". That's when ID appends the six digits that are three pairs of the page number.

    Everything works as planned if I duplicate the original document, and repeating the process leaving out the Convert to Text option.

13. Still getting blank screen after sleep on MacOS Apple Silicon

    ID 20.4.1. Been getting this issue on and off, by far OFF, for over a year now. After sleep with app open, returning to current work renders a blank screen, AND no green yellow red window icons which happens less often but has been happening for years and years.

14. shift-click to deselect is not working

    Shift-click to deselect is not working: Drag to select multiple objects, then shift-click on one of them to deselect from the set, and it deselects ALL EXCEPT the one object you were intending to deselect! Just happened after updating to InD 20.4.1 MacOS.

15. InDesign version 20.4.1: The Y coordinates for lines are the same with the top edge and the bottom.

    See attached video. I'm also having trouble updating Creative Cloud despite following every recommended fix, including repair. It won't let me delete it unless I also delete every Adobe product. VERY frustrating.

16. Bug: tint remains when applying a different swatch

    Indesign 2025, v20.2, Windows 11
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Have at leat two swatches in the swatches panel. The 1st with, for instance, 20% tint and the 2nd with 100%
    2. Type some text and select it, then apply the swatch with the 20% tint.
    3. Then apply the other swatch.
    Result: the text isn't display in the color of the 2nd swatch, because the tint is not changed to 100%

19. Eyedropper tool should not copy content fill by default.

    I don't think I have ever needed to copy the content fill settings from one image frame to another, but by default the eyedropper tool copies how the photo fills the frame, which is pretty annoying.

    Requested Feature: Please add a checkbox specifically for content fill. Please have it unchecked by default.

    Right now you can only disable content fill from being apply by unchecking "color and tint," which doesn't make sense and is not intuitive.

    Expectation 1: eyedrop a frame to copy it's color/stoke/ other attributes, but not content fill which changes the size/position of the image within the frame
    Result 1: eyedrop tool copies content fill, requiring me to reposition the photo again, or manually update other attributes.

    Expectation 2: after learning you could potentially change what attributes the eyedropper changes, I looked for something like "content fill" but found nothing.

    Result 2: By process of elemination, I fouund that "Color and Tint" disabled content fill from being copied.

20. Where is the link to online Files in Creative Cloud Desktop?

    Up until recently, when I shared InDesign files, I was able to open the CC Desktop app, go to Files > Files, and there would be a direct link to my online files. That very convenient feature has disappeared completely. My workaround has been to add an internet shortcut to my Windows Explorer files.

    I have been told that it was removed because of problems on the backend with InDesign, but if that were the case, then I would have also been able to access that direct link in CC Desktop for files shared from Photoshop or Illustrator. It's bad enough that the Acrobat files are in a completely different area, but I've gotten used to that.

    Am I the only one that finds myself needing to view the online version of a review file instead of just relying on the comments I can see in InDesign?
