1. styles don't export to pdf tags

   All my paragraph styles are set to automatic for export options. When I export to pdf 99.9% comes over as 'span' in the reading order structure, not what it is supposed to be.

   There is the occasional H3 for some reason on some versions exported. Appears totally random. None on attached sample.

2. CC library tab won't select?

   When clicking on the dropdown menu to select a CC library, the tabs do not open unless I hold down the ^ button. When opened, I cannot select a CC library. Have refreshed several times but it still doesn't let me change the library! This is on InDesign for Mac.

3. Glyphs panel scroll doesn't work in CC2017

   Fix scroll feature in Glyphs panel; it worked in CC 2015. Broken in CC2017 on both Mac and Windows.

4. [ID-4261359] Path ≠ line if you have a round arrow with an arrowhead as part of the path

   If you have a "round" arrow with the arrowhead as part of the path, the path (in my screenshot: blue) is no longer the same as the shown line of the arrow (black).
   This effect does not occur if the arrowhead is added to the path.

5. [ID-4273763] Indesign 21.0.2 packaging not compatible on macOS 26 Tahoe

   • Indesign 21.0.2 packaging fails on machines updated to macOS 26 Tahoe.

   • When a file is packaged an error message is returned, indicating an error when copying links.
     This error does not appear when the same file is packaged on a system using an older mac OS. (Sonoma 14.6.1)

   • Our team has checked all linked files for corrupt files, errors in naming, missing links - there are none of these errors across our files.

   • This is a recurring error for any Indesign version 21.02.2 and older on machines updated to macOS 26 Tahoe. We have tried various files on various computers, recieving the same error each time.

   • Indesign 21.0.2 packaging fails on machines updated to macOS 26 Tahoe.

   • When a file is packaged an error message is returned, indicating an error when copying links.
     This error does not appear when the same file is packaged on a system using an older mac OS. (Sonoma 14.6.1)

6. PDF preset: color output settings aren't being applied V21.0.2

   My company has been using the same PDF preset for a couple of years now. Since updating to V21.0.2, the color output settings specified in the preset are not being applied. I tried creating a new preset and the color output settings are still the default, instead of the very specific color settings I need applied for the print vendor we send files to.

7. Tagged PDF: contoured text twice in the tagged pdf

   If you give a text a contour and export it as tagged pdf, all glyphs with a contour appear twice in the tags tree.
   The text should only appear once.

   This happens with all InDesign version till 2026 (21).

8. [ID-4272869] InDesign adds Blank space to top during PNG export for converted documents

   I booted up 2026 (version 21.0) and opened a file that I was working on literally yesterday. I have a text box over a solid fill background shape. When I exported them both together yesterday, it worked as expected. Today, it exports with an obnoxious blank space (or filled space if I uncheck "Transparent Background") at the top.

   Absolutely nothing changed with the file, it's just happening in 2026 and not in 2025. Comparison attached.

   Workaround: Export the document to IDML

   Summary
   InDesign's GREP engine does not handle the OR operator (|) correctly when used with anchors (^ and $). This behavior differs significantly from standard regex engines and produces unexpected, inconsistent results.

   Problem Description
   When using the OR operator with anchors in InDesign GREP, the anchors are interpreted with incorrect precedence, causing the pattern to behave differently than expected. This issue has been confirmed as a bug by Peter Kahrel, author of "GREP in InDesign."

   Test Cases and Results

   Test Case 1: ^ab|c
   Text: ab ac bc Expected (standard regex): Matches "ab" at line start AND "c" anywhere Actual InDesign result: Only matches "ab" at line start Issue: InDesign interprets as ^(ab|c) instead of (^ab)|c

   Test Case 2: ^a|bc

   Please fix the OR operator precedence to match standard regex behavior:

10. Can't apply colour swatches in swatches pallette

    Indesign version 20.0.1
    Mac OS Sequoia 15.1.1

    Steps:
    1. Create or open a document
    2. Create or select any text box or picture box
    3. Select any colour in the Swatches panel
    4. The colour swatch will hilite for a second when clicked, but then deselects and the colour is NOT applied to the object
    5. Same is true for text: Cannot apply any colour to text using the Swatches panel.
    6. Using the "Color" panel however does allow you to apply colours using CMYK or other spaces.

    Additional Notes:
    - Already tried manually deleting caches and preference files from user library
    - Already tried command-option-control-shift while starting Indesign to delete preferences
    - Rebooted Mac several times and also zapped PRAM
    - Only started happening today (I think Indesign was auto-updated by CC)

11. InCopy: Notes in text shifting randomly when exported as PDF.

    InCopy version 18 and 19.

    To recreate the issue : add a note to any point of a text paragraph in InCopy and export the document as PDF. This results in the note (yellow sticky note) shifting randomly within the PDF document.

    What should happen is that the yellow sticky note should be in the area of where the note was initially anchored in InCopy, after you export it as PDF.

    Elements from the library with the .svg file format are no longer supported in version 19.3. In Illustrator the assates still works.

13. Footnote: Problems with Small caps when using World-Ready Paragraph Composer

    ID 23 and 24: When the Footnote Text Paragraph Style has World-Ready Paragraph Composer enabled, then there is a problem with formatting in the first line of the footnote: Starting from Footnote 10, the problem appears. When Small Caps is applied (via open type font) then the style is applied to 1 letter before the styled text range and 1 letter at the end of the text is not styled as should be. So the staling is shifted for 1 letter regarding the applied style. When the footnote number is 3 digits, then the styling is shifted by 2 letters.

14. PAC 2021 Error for InDesign generated PDF : Object reference not set to an instance of an object

    I am still getting Object reference not set to an instance of an object when testing pdf files in PAC 21. This error apparently relates to 'PDF Export using ZIP compression for images shows an “Insufficient data for an image” error on opening in Acrobat.

    This was supposed to be fixed in ID 18.5 but its now happening with every PDF I check for accessibility, even a single page with simple text.

    Working for local government and its imperative our PDF files exported from ID are fully accessible and tested. Seek an urgent fix.

16. 18.1 Workspace resets to 'essentials'

    I'm working with Indesign 18.1 (issue also has occured with other older versions).

    My custom workspace utilizes a two-screen setup, one screen for the actual layout and the other screen for all the menus/palettes etc.

    Everytime I close out of a document and reopen a new document, the custom workspace resets from my custom workspace to a generic one-screen workspace. In previous versions, that reverted workspace was 'essentials' but with 1.81 it seems to be a partially custom / nondescript workspace....most likely because I went and deleted the 'essentials' workspace here:

    /Applications/Adobe InDesign 2023/Presets/InDesign_Workspaces

    I am working with a lot of different files everyday so this constant "reset, reapply the workspace" process is a real chore.

    I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling/updating to the current version from an older version also.

    I'm working with Indesign 18.1 (issue also has occured with other older versions).

17. Font Issue InDesign 2022 (working in InDesign 2021)

    I'm having an issue with a font, which isn't recognized in Adobe InDesign 2022 but is perfectly working in InDesign 2021.

    Font Name: Mark OT
    InDesign 17.2
    macOS Monterey 12.3.1
    MacBook Pro 14" 2021

    The font is installed on my mac and available in InDesign 2021.

    Any solutions for this issue?

18. All of the sudden font doesn't appear

    v17.2 InDesign
    MAC OS Big Sur 11.6.5
    Opening documents to make changes and fonts are missing. They are activated in Suitcase 22.0.4 and appear in Illustrator when I open a document.
    Have redone preferences, caches in both InDesign and Suitcase. Tried placing the fonts in the InDesign fonts folder and the Adobe fonts folder.
    Have restarted several times.
    Uninstalled InDesign and reinstalled.
    Not sure what to do! Please help!!

19. IDML Saving Stuck at 95% in InDesign 2022 - v 17.0.1x64 - Windows 10 Pro x64

    Idml Export Stuck at 95% for Indesign file (604) pages mostly text , i tried many times and resave the file in different indd file name and location, and still stuck in 95% when saving to IDML, even in exporting to IDML or Packaging the Project, the problem is the same

20. Macbook Pro Notch Cuts Into Fullscreen View

    1. InDesign version 17.0.1 on MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)
    2. Previewing a document in Full Screen (Shift + W) and returning to normal view (Shift + W or ESC).
    3. Document should be displayed below the notch, like other full screen applications do. When returning to normal view, the InDesign window should be the same size as before full screen view.
    4. The notch of the new MacBook Pro (2021) cuts into the preview. When returning to non-full screen view, the InDesign window is pushed down / resized so that the status bar is not visible.
