InDesign hangs/crashes while publishing InDesign documents via Publish Online
Unable to create a URL from the Publish Online button. Does not complete task. Freezes at 98%. I have tried restarting (app and computer both) using a different file extension, etc.
- Indesign CC 2018 13.1.0 x64 Windows
- Click "publish online" from INDD or IDML file
- URL from the "publish online" command.
- Hangs out at 98% and doesn't produce a URL, but doesn't totally freeze the program. I can still use the program while this happens.

When I try to open a window using the help search bar, the screen freezes.
I can't press any buttons and requires crashes.I'm on Mac OS M1 Pro - Sonoma 16.2.1

pdf comments not showing
- version 19.5.0.84 mac
- import pdf comments
- to show everything marked on the pdf
- some random edits are not shown, but they do appear in the pdf comments window, it happens mostly with highlights and insert text

Drop Cap/Nested Style Broken in InDesign CC 2019
Since upgrading to InDesign CC 2019, when I edit a paragraph that has a nested style applied to the first line, the entire paragraph takes on the nested style. The paragraph behaves normally until I edit it. Unfortunately, but unsurprisingly, the behavior is inconsistent. If I copy and paste the text into a new text box, the behavior does not occur, but if I link the existing text to that new box, it continues to happen.

This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.

Default underline position misinterprets font’s specification
InDesign interprets the underline position as the center of the line (from which the "thickness" extends outward), whereas the OpenType spec calls for it to be the top of the line (from which the thickness extends downward). This causes inconsistencies with other application’s interpretation of the same font’s metadata.

dark interface &
Appearance dark theme not matching the settings or OS. I selected dark theme but pasteboard and window top bar light grey. It should be uniform dark.
Other issue is workspaces often does not show up after launching app requiring me to select a workspace other than my custom setting to show up on screen and only then can I select my custom workspace to have it show up. If I select my custom workspace right away after launch when no windows or tools show up nothing happens the screen stays without any panels or tools. Clearly a bug

Indesign - main navigation menu glitch
When I hover my mouse over any of the main nav items (file or edit or layout etc.). and click the menu does not appear. When I click a second time it appears but does not allow me to browse down to select any items - them menu items disappear as soon as I move my mouse. This happens on tool menu items too such as the links window menu. It doesn't do it all the time, but say 1 in 4 times I open indesign. Super frustrating - any one else have this bug/ issue?

Drag-and-Drop text editing in Layout view problems
I was working on InDesign layout with Word text with some text originally in Arabic - with some numbers (dates) only for a reason I cannot understand, but it was a text about oriental philosophy... I discovered that my body text paragraph style (for a strange reason) used Adobe Worlld-Ready Single-Line Composer (it was not my choice!). That selection made the one letter Drag-and-Drop editor in the Layout view not work correctly. When I changed the composer to a simple paragraph composer everything is OK again...

Show Import Options no longer stays checked
The "show import options" box will not stay checked in the "Place" window. Sometimes it does stay checked for one or two items but if you are importing more than that it will not stay checked.
Previously it stayed checked until the next time that inDesign was restarted. This may seem minor but is an extreme inconvenience and severely hindering workflow.
Version: 20.5
Steps to reproduce:
1. While working in document, Control+D (or "File>Place")
2. Sees "Show Import Options" is unchecked, check box
3. Place object
4. Control+D to place new object

OpenAsset extension in ID 2020 for Mac
I installed the OpenAsset extension in my InDesign 2020 on a Mac running OS Catalina. My Exchange says that I should be able to launch it from Windows > Extensions > OpenAsset. There is no Windows menu option; under the Window option there is no Extensions submenu anymore.
Please advise. I use this extension extensively with work.

Preview glitches.
ID 17.2.1
Zooming in/out in a document sometimes displays glitches/artifacts that block the view of the actual design.
Moving the window or dragging the document around the pasteboard fixes the issue; still, it's annoying because it blocks one from working properly.1 vote -
Tint slider disappears/doesn't work in 16.1
The tint slider in the swatches window in the newest update for the Mac version of InDesign (16.1) on Big Sur appears for a fraction of a second and then disappears. You can type in the tint % box, but the slider is inoperable.

Relink missing image - InDesign shows wrong file name
If an image (a link) is missing in the InDesign document, then there is a red circle with a white question mark on the image in the document and on the link in the Links panel. When I double click on the red circle in the Links panel, a file explorer window opens, and that window shows the right image file name in the "File name" text field. In Windows 10, when I close an InDesign file, and open another without closing InDesign completely, my keyboard functionality ceases to work. I have to relaunch InDesign.
This happened on my previous laptop of 7 years, and now does the same with my new one which is 2 weeks old. I thought it was just because my old laptop was getting old, but since it's doing the same on a new computer, I figured it must be a bug.

Locked to dell canvas screen, can't move to other screens
On a multiscreen system, when InDesign starts up on the Dell Canvas drawing tablet screen, the window can't be moved to any other screen in the system. If the Dell Canvas is turned off then on, InDesign automatically moves to another screen. At that point, the window can be moved to any other screen in the system. However, if you move it totally onto the Canvas screen, it will be pinned to that screen, unable to move back to the other screens.

Drag and Drop from MacOS Preview App
I would love to be able to drag and drop images from the macOS Preview app instead of having to drag and drop images from finder. When the images imported aren't named properly it can be annoying to find the right one. Usually I have images opened in the Preview app and would love to just be able to drag and drop them from there.

a prompt appears on the bottom of my indesign screen after opening an old file I need to work on (my portfolio):
"Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported after 2023
A blue message box regarding Type 1 not being support starting 2023. Your document contains 0 Type 1 fonts...... more info....."

Opening a menu item such as preferences sets of the "error" sound in windows until the item is closed
When I open a menu item such as Print or Preferences or Export, windows begins making the "error" sound as if you clicked in an inappropriate spot. The sound continues until I close whatever menu item I opened. This only started with the update to InDesign 2023.
