  1. missing text and images

    I have a multiple facing page doc that is missing text boxes and images. seems like a rendering issue but I cant fix the bug. any ideas? things I have tried are: preference reset, exporting the doc as an IDML file, moving pages to a new doc. nothing is fixing the bug.

  2. magnification copy

    Indesign 16.2.1 x64
    If I select some text to copy, then change the magnification, then Ctrl+C, move the curser to a new point in the text and Ctrl+V, it pastes the magnification, not the text.
    Not a major problem, but one has to ask "why?". I expected it to copy the text, not the workspace.

  3. footnotes bug

    How do I get footnote #1 in my screenshot to show up with footnotes #2 and #3 at the bottom of the page. For the life of me, I cannot find a setting that makes this possible. Thank you in advance.

  4. footnotes show up at the bottom of text box rather than bottom of page when "span footnotes" is selected

  6. Koreans have to press the spacebar twice when using InDesign

    When typing Korean in InDesign, you need to press the spacebar twice.If you've ever used InDesign in Korean, you'll find this kind of work is very annoying. This issue did not appear in CS6 and earlier versions of CC. So, for Koreans who use InDesign, the InDesign CC version is a disaster.

    This problem cannot be solved by using any option in InDesign, and Koreans are using unverified sub software to solve this problem. And many Koreans are wondering why InDesign is a step backwards from the previous version and doesn't solve even these basic problems.

  7. Layer hidden by top layer

    I have a layer with text and images and then a layer below it will squares of solid colors. Whenever the text layer is visible and on top, the colors cannot be seen despite there being areas where they should be completely visible. The text box is set to transparent as well. When I move the colored squares to the text layer they can be seen. How can this be fixed without having the squares be moved to the text layer?

  8. Index not listed correctly after converting IDML file to INDD

    When I convert INDD files to IDML, and then I convert those again in INDD the index file disassembles completely the layers.

    It seems to happen from the third level like in this example:

    Chapter 5

    5.9
    1.1.1
    1.1.1
    1.1.2
    1.1.2.1
    1.1.2.2

    How can I avoid that, and let the Index keep the right list from the first conversion?

  13. Publish online video in Safari lags slow load

    Can someone please escalate this to Apple if its a Safari issue?
    Its been mentioned several times now.

    Pages with video published online will lag and slow load in Safari.

  14. CC library freezes during work and crashes Indesign 16.2.1 if buying Stock-Pictures

    MAC OS Catalina 10.15.7 (19H1217)
    iMac Pro (2017)
    3.2 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon W
    32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4
    Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB
    Indesign 16.2.1

    CC Library freezes and only a program restart helps temporarily ... until next time

    This bug existed before in Indesign and Illustrator was fixed in the meantime and was now apparently reissued! I love traditions!

    A bug evergreen CC Libraray
    If buying AdobeStock-Pictures via CC Library-Window in Indesign
    will shut down Indesign directly in 9 of 10 cases
    (This is a "Bugevergreen!")

    After the last update, the following things no longer work properly:
    1. CC Libraries
    (Crashes and shows either a reduced or enlarged section of the library and is no longer usable. Only a program restart helps ... short term! see screenshot 1. the bug was already in Illustrator!)

    1. edge smoothing! (Not only since the update): ... Does not work properly for quite some time! 2.1 Completely covered areas, lines and graphics have a slight contour due to the edge smoothing and become minimally visible (although these would actually be invisible and not visible in print) or form minimally soft edges,…

  17. Indesign crashes when there is a footnote conflict (imported document)

    Beim Importieren eines Word-Dokumentes mit einer Fussnote die über eine Seite lang ist kommt es zu einem fehlerhaften Import wenn die Einstellung des Indesigndokumentes auf "Fussnoten nicht teilen" steht.
    Ab der langen Fussnote wird kein importierter Text mehr dargestellt, jedoch trotz genügen Leerseiten ein Übersatz angezeigt.

    Beim Versuch einer Synchronisation innerhalb eines Buchdokumentes stürzt Indesign ohne Fehlermeldung ab.

  18. Issues with MacOS custom keyboards and InDesign

    The users have InDesign V16.1 installed on macOS Big Sur (11.4).
    They use custom software keyboards (created with Ukelele) to type Native American language characters (Salish via IPA). They use custom fonts that have the required glyphs for the language. OpenType marks are used for composing characters. The fonts are both Unicode and OpenType compliant. Frequently a properly composed character will consist of a primary glyph (such as "K") followed by a combining glottal and a wsuperior.     Indesine crash evry time i try to assign base character style when the text in question have child style. So i have "Product" character style, and "Bold Product". Text field have Product style on it from get go. Then i use script to edit this field and after that i construct new string and put it in field.
