Review Links Deleted
I was having issues yesterday EOD publishing a review link. I wound up leaving for the day as it wasn't working. When I got back in this morning, I went to my review link files on adobe.com and noticed a grayed-out placeholder link that was seemingly corrupt that I couldn't open.
I deleted the file. When I did so, ALL of my review links disappeared, and none of them are working anymore.
I can't seem find any way to get them back. Furthermore, I can't seem to create new ones.
What can I do?

unexpected window scaling
InDesign prerelease 21.1 on MacOs 15.6.1 MacBookPro 16” M2pro (with connected 4K screen, or not).
After lanching InDesign and opening a file, this one fits to full internal screen. If you open a second doc on the same window in a new tab, it resizes the window to full internal screen (even if you resized it to a less size) but window is a little higher. If you move the window to the external 4K screen and open a new doc, there is no bug : the window don't resize.1 vote -
InDesign 2026 application window automatically snapping to screen width
I like to stretch the InDesign application window partially onto my second monitor but since updating to 2026 it keeps snapping back to the edges of a single monitor.
It seems that if you pull two edges of the app frame away from the edge of the screen (left and bottom, for instance) it doesn't happen. But as soon as one of the edges goes back up against the edge of the monitor it resizes the width.
There is also strangeness when trying to use "normal" windows functions like the clicking the control menu (top left corner of the app window) and select move, then use Ctrl+ an arrow key to move the window a very small amount, it freaks out and resizes to something completely unusable.
Please fix!

Typing reverses in import dialogue box field after error
InDesign 21.0.2. Language: UK English.
Immediately after a "You have not entered a valid cell range" error when trying to import data from an Excel file, typing reverses in the cell range field, i.e., 'print-area' becomes 'aera-tnirp' or 'A1:D5' becomes '5D:1A'.
This isn't a consistent error. By the way, both 'print_area' and 'A1:G50' are valid cell ranges. Resaving the .xlsx file, even down to a .xls, does not resolve the issue. Named ranges do not appear in the cell range drop-down.

Section is pre-coded/hard-coded for all the pages in the document
I'm trying to modify the Section setting for pages in my document, but it looks like all the pages are already pre/hard-coded with the checkbox "Start section" On. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the box is already pre-checked, however, you don't see the Arrow mark above the page that indicates that a new section begins. This looks like not just a cosmetic problem, but also functional, because I cannot really divide the document into separate sections. As a result, just as an example, I cannot start the Footnotes from the begining for every section. The Footnotes are all set to begin every page.

linking text blocks error
I created several related blocks on a master page. The blocks don't auto-continue; they're not master blocks. I then initialize them and filled them with text. Then I group them with other elements. Then I no longer needed them, so I tried deleting the blocks. But InDesign wouldn't allow it, as it thought I needed to add pages. I deleted the entire contents of the text blocks. But InDesign still tried to add the page, even though there was no content in the blocks. The last block in the chain link always had a continuation icon, but in reality this block did not have a subsequent block. The block-by-block connection ended up going nowhere. After ungrouping, I started deleting the blocks one by one, and each time the last one in the chain ended up with a connection that led nowhere.

Numbering
If the numbering didn't start on the first page of the file, but on a specific page (determined by the user), it would be a very significant improvement.
I'd like this configuration to be more flexible and usable for the user, allowing us to modify the configuration (numbering start page, the numbering progression and other features).1 vote -
[ID-4273762] Critical bug — Dropdown / <select> / sp-picker not working in UXP plugin under InDesign 2025 (Win & Mac)
I'm contacting you about a recurring bug I've encountered—and that several other developers have reported—since the Adobe InDesign 2025 update (versions 20.4, 20.4.1, 20.5).
🔹 Problem Description
In a plugin using Adobe UXP (UI HTML or Spectrum), the dropdown elements
<select>—or<sp-picker>—no longer respond to clicks: the border may change color, but the list doesn't open, and it's impossible to select an item.Even when using minimal HTML code or testing from UXP Developer Tools (Playground), the problem persists.
This bug seems to affect several environments (Windows 11, different versions of InDesign, and possibly macOS as well, according to community feedback).
In some cases, events (click, change, keydown, etc.) are no longer emitted for form controls.
Adobe Creative Cloud Developer Forums
🔹 Impact
Existing plugins become unusable — users are unable to enter or select options, thus blocking normal operation.
Production usage is severely disrupted.
Loss of confidence in the stability of the UXP runtime.
🔹 Step to reproduce
1 - Create starter package
2 - Add select with options tags
3 - Use UXP Developer tools or package it
4 - Open panel in Indesign 2025
- under 20.4 version, it works fine. We can open option in select
- upper 20.3 version, select tags, checkbox,... doesn't work🔹 What I'm asking
Can you confirm that this bug has been identified internally?
Is there a planned fix (future version or update) to restore the behavior of dropdown lists/sp-picker/select in UXP under InDesign 2025?
If not, is it possible to obtain an official workaround (patch, beta build, directive) for our plugins in production?
Thank you in advance for your help—this bug seriously compromises the reliability of UXP plugins. I am available to provide code examples, reproductions, or logs if that would be helpful.
Sincerely,

incorrect work with layers
I have 2 layers in the template. On the first - various elements, which does not matter, on the second (top) - a group of text blocks. I put a lock on layer 1, remove the lock from layer #2 and ungroup the group of objects. They all jump from layer #2 to layer #1 and immediately become inaccessible, because that layer is locked!

error with image display
in a large brochure with a large number of images, some of them are not displayed in "Display Performsnce - Typical" mode - instead of the image, only a rectangle is visible. Moreover, in the "High quality display" mode, these images appear, and those that were displayed in the Typical mode, on the contrary, disappear. This all happens in the "normal" screen mode. In the preview screen mode, everything is displayed. (Display via the GPU is set)

Recursive packaging
That's a old problem for me : I link Illustrator / Photoshop files in Indesign, and these files can also have various links to various files. When I do a "package" in Indesign, it copies the links but not the links of links, and that often cause problems.
Can you make all the softwares capable of recursively package sub-links, and also check for doubles (because various links sometimes have links to the same sub-files).1 vote -
suggest an idea
InDesign would benefit from an option that allows Apply Next Style (or a Paragraph Style setting) to automatically detect the final paragraph in a contiguous sequence and then apply an alternate “last paragraph” style. This is especially useful for designs where a repeated list uses a separator — for example, in a “Materials and Tools” box where each item has a rule below, but the final item should appear without the rule.
At present, this requires manually applying a separate “last item” style to the final paragraph every time such a box is created. Giving InDesign the ability to recognise the final paragraph and switch to a defined alternate style would greatly reduce manual intervention, avoid errors in long documents, and streamline book production workflows.

Anchored elements missing in PDF when anchor is on a different page and in a table
- InDesign 21.0.1
- Create a table and set an anchor. The anchored object is a text box. Place the text box and the table on different pages. Export the document as a PDF.
- The anchored text box appears in the PDF.
- The anchored text box will not appear in the PDF. (It will appear only when both are on the same page or the anchor is in a textbox.)

Lots of problems with fonts on InDesign (21.0.1)
InDesign is not recognizing the fonts we previously used in version 20.5. When opening documents in version 21.0.1, InDesign prompts us to replace the fonts, even though those fonts are already installed on our computers.
Additionally, when copying and pasting text from a template created in InDesign 20.5 into a new InDesign 21.0.1 document, the pasted text becomes unreadable.
Steps to reproduce:
Open a document created in InDesign 20.5 and add some text. Then open the same document in InDesign 21.0.1. Create a new text frame, copy the text from the original frame, and paste it into the new one.
Expected result:
InDesign 21.1 should not prompt to replace fonts that are already installed.
Copying and pasting text should preserve the original characters without corrupting them or displaying random symbols or numbers.
