1. Unable to drag & drop images within text frame through custom plugin on Indesign CC2020

   We have a custom plugin, we are using this plugin since Indesign CS4. We have an option to drag & drop images from this plugin pallet into Indesign Layout. With the latest CC2020 SDK, we have upgraded our plugin from CC18 to CC2020 & it works fine on all other functionality except "Drag & drop" within text frame.

   We didn't made any update to the code, the same option works fine till CC2019. Is there any known issue with CC2020 sdk for drag & drop?

   Note: Drag & drop allows us to place the image at left top corner of the image frame, also the mouse pointer get transforms into "T" instead of "+" symbol, when we drag over text frame.

2. Pixelation of transparent .png's mostly using logos when exporting to PDF

   Used a high quality logo, even took the time to replace it a second time. Same result.
   Creates a pixelated black outline, even after replacing it a couple of times.

3. Paragraph and Character styles lost during copy and paste

   When text frames are copied and pasted between documents style are lost. This is happening in version 15.1.1

4. 'Justify All Lines' Not Working Properly

   The 'Justify All Lines' paragraph option does not work properly when applied to objects within a text frame. The attached example image should help to explain.

5. Spinning Ball Every Couple of Keystrokes

   I get the spinning ball every few seconds with InDesign - extremely frustrating! I've tried everything suggested in the community forums.

   I'm running a brand new MacBook Pro (16" 2020 with 2.3GHz/Radeon Pro 5500M/32GB/2TB), with Catalina 10.15.6 and InDesign CC 15.1.2. I've used this MBP for LESS THAN A WEEK, and have NO preferences established-it's super clean right now.

   So frustratingly slow! Spinning ball every couple of keystrokes. Productivity killed.

   I tried everything people have recommended in the community forum including dumping preferences; turning off GPU Performance; changing color preferences to Apple RGB; I have no 3rd party applications running; this is not a complex or large document, and it does not use large photos.

   I finally turned off WiFi. That worked immediately. Now I have to turn off WiFi anytime I use InDesign??

   This seems like a huge problem that Adobe needs to fix asap - it's ONGOING and NOT new. There is a lot of pent up frustration in users, and Adobe should be careful because people are looking for alternative solutions and will jump ship fast if they find one. I've been a loyal Adobe user, but I can't continue to work like this. It's ridiculous. Please fix this problem asap. Thanks.

6. I am using version Version 15.1.2x64. I cannot get the Object & Layout > Align feature to work. When I try, the Pages window opens up.

   Bonjour, Le souci est que sur BR mes fichiers Indd et les exports pour impression en PDF ne contiennent aucune mention de "Profil Colorimétrique", alors que mes logiciels Adobe ont bien la même gestion de couleur à savoir : PREPRESSE EUROPE > COATED FOGRA39
   J'ai beau Attribuer ou Convertir en profil cela ne fonctionne pas !
   Sinon, pouvez-vous me donner la manipulation à faire ?

8. ID very slow on creating packages

   ID 15.1.2 on MBP 15" 2019 macOS Catalina 10.15.6
   Since updating to ID 15.1.2 creating packages (File > Package) takes sooooo much time – especially collecting image files into the Links-folder. Feels like using a last century internet connection to copy them instead of a ssd. Really bad: There's no progress shown on the progress bar. The only way to figure out that ID still works ist to check the Links-folder again and again where you can see the files dropping in one after another …

10. "Hue" effect on rectangle breaks anti-aliasing of text

    Version: InDesign 2020 (15.0.2. x64)
    OS: Windows 10 (10.0.18363 Build 18363)

    Reproduction:
    1. Create a text frame and fill it with any text
    2. Create a rectangle on the same page and go to Window -> Effects, and set the rectangle's effect to "Hue"
    3. Text on that same page no longer appears anti-aliased

    Figured this out while trying to find out why all the text looked so bad. Ended up copying things to a new document (where text wasn't jagged) one by one, and eventually narrowed it down to the hue effect. Might be worth checking other effects for this problem?

12. Problem with variable fonts letter tracking

    1. Adobe Indesign 15.1.2

    2. There is a problem with letter tracking in variable fonts (please see attached photo)
       I've tried two licensed variable fonts and it occurs with all of them
       (Myriad Variable & 29lt Bukra Variavle)
       I've not changed the default values for letter kerning nor tracking.

    3. Expected results: I expect the text to have the correct letter tracking

    4. Actual results: bad letter tracking (please see attached photo)

13. Indesign to Illustrator die line wrong dimensions

    Indesign 15.1.2
    At times, when exporting cut paths via PDF from Indesign to Illustrator, the cut paths will come in smaller than they should be. See attached screenshot. Both the red trapezoid and black rectangle say they are 36" x 24" in Indesign. When exported via PDF to Illustrator, the trapezoid is 35.875" x 24" but the rectangle stays true to 36 x 24.
    I can see why this is, Indesign isn't reading the true dimensions of the rounded corner object. It's reading them as if it still has "none" applied to the corners. This could cause issues with fit when creating parts that have to fit into exhibits or frames. Please fix? Thanks.

14. Textskalierung mit shortcut und mouse funktioniert nicht mehr

    • InDesign 14.0.3.

    • Textrahmen mit Text aktivieren, gedrückten Taste (cmd und alt soweit ich mich noch erinnere), mit Maus Textrahmen Ecke anfassen und ziehen um zu skalieren
      -> Das ging früher, ist aber seit einigen Versionen nicht mehr verfügbar oder verändert. Ich finde es nicht mehr und auch keinen Hinweis darauf, wo es jetzt ist

    Hallo,

    seit geraumer Zeit gibt es immer wieder ein Problem in Indesign, welches in Foren meist mit der Hilfe "Caches & Preferences löschen" kommentiert wird. Aber keiner hat je eine Erklärung gefunden oder die Entstehung des Problems lokalisiert.

    Folgende Situation: Man möchte die Schriftgröße, das Kerning, die Laufweite oder sonst etwas in den dafür vorgesehenen Feldern in der Menüleiste ändern - und diese sind plötzlich ausgegraut und können nicht geändert werden. Eigentlich sind sie hellblau und man kann einen beliebigen Wert eingeben.

    Ich habe gerade herausgefunden, an welcher Stelle, in welcher Situation Indesign so reagiert. Es liegt an der Einstellung, wenn man sein Dokumentenfenster schwebend anlegt und nicht angedockt an der Menüleiste. Ändert man das, kann man sofort wieder manuell Werte in die Felder eingeben.

    Es ist also ein versteckter Programmierfehler in Indesign, welchen man vielleicht mal beheben könnte?

    Wenn ich in InDesign CC 15.1.2 die Benutzeroberfläche auf »****« stelle, kann ich keinen Cursor in den Texteingaben der Bedienfeld-Menüs sehen … er scheint leider auch »weiß« zu sein. Wo liegt der Fehler?

20. Adding "Current Page" marker to TOC targeted paragraph doesn't use page numbering format

    InDesign 15.1.2
    Using "Current Page" in text that will be used for the TOC ignores page numbering. If I start a section on page 5, the TOC shows page 1 even though the "Current Page" on the specified page is correct.
