1. Keyboard Shortcut for Type Tool

   Using the keyboard shortcut for Type Tool activates tool for a second then it switches to Selection Tool automatically making it very frustrating to layout and adjust text boxes.

2. share for review doesn't activate

   can't update my files anymore

3. Apple M1 Mac mini. Big Sur, InDesign CC 2021, tables are SLOW

   I've created a 6 column, 355 row table. No fill, default black stroke. I've created this same table, from the same data 100 times on my 2015 imac, running InDesign 2017 thru 2020. High Sierra was the highest MacOS on previous computer
   When I copy a word or phrase (100 or fewer characters) and paste it into another cell, it is showing the thinking beachball for 15 seconds. I'm simply double clicking on 5 characters to copy, then clicking into another table cell to paste the word. Everything that I had previously completed using tables in previous versions was quick. The 2021 version running on Big Sur and the M1 chip is painfully slow.

4. unknown character

   Hello,

   For several months now, when I place a .docx document in inDesign, it can happen that a character is misinterpreted by inDesign.
   It's as if it's invisible for the layout, but it actually cuts the word in half for spelling correction, for example.
   When I copy it to search for it with inDesign with or without GREP, it does paste something (a lowercase L or an uppercase i preceded by a ^ in normal or ~ in GREP) but it doesn't find it.
   When displaying hidden characters it appears as two vertical red dots (see my photo).
   Sometimes it also appears at the very beginning of a sentence.

   Depuis plusieurs mois, lorsque je place un document .docx dans inDesign, il peut arriver qu’un caractère soit comme mal interprété par inDesign.
   Il est comme invisible pour la mise en page, mais il coupe en fait le mot en deux pour la correction orthographique par exemple.

5. InDesign 2021 will not open and can't uninstall

   After I installed the 2021 version of InDesign, it stopped functioning. It will not open and won't uninstall (all attempts through Creative Cloud and Windows have failed in errors).

6. Object Layer Options Causing Image to Glitch

   When Object Layer Options are used (top image over graphic, bottom image under graphic box, for example), the image will glitch and polarize. When moving around the document or toggling between regular view and preview mode etc, the image will sporadically go back to normal or alter its representation.

   Normal behaviour is for the image to show as expected.

   Running 16.0.2

7. Verifying "Adobe InDesign 2021"

   Since updating to 2021 versions of Creative Cloud applications, there's a persistent 'Verifying "Adobe _____ 2021" message that pops up frequently.

   Once you see these, you can't get rid of them. A restart is required.

   The version is the latest version (16.0.2)

   Steps to reproduce: Update and then open InDesign

   Expected result: InDesign opens normally, verifies and the verification message disappears

   Actual result: The verification message never goes away. The cross icon doesn't work.

8. Guides/Grids not showing

   InDesign16.02 & 16.01

   For some reason today, when I opened an InDesign file from a packaged InDesign folder in the latest version of InDesign, I could not view the page margins, document grid, baseline grid or ruler guides. I tried toggling them with the shortcuts and by directly selecting them from the InDesign menu. I uninstalled the latest version and tried the previous to make sure it wasn't a version issue. I had the same result. No grids or guides would show no matter what I tried. I checked the threshold and made sure I was within it which I was.

   I tried opening another InDesign filed that had been packaged and I had the same result. I have tried this both on my iMac and my Macbook with the same result.

   I was finally able to get the guides to show when I opened the IDML file from the packaged folder.

   I believe this is a bug when opening packaged INDD files.

9. No SEO capabilities when publishing online.

   If you could add SEO capabilities to Interactive PDFs when using the "publish online..." option in InDesign that would be wonderful.

11. A numbered list style don't the numbers but plain bullet

    New style based in another one.
    In Viñetas y numeración I enter the following data (image)

    The output a list as show in second image (with no number but bullets).

    Expected result must be:

    A. xxxxxxxx
    B. xxxxxxxx
    C. xxxxxxxx

    When I'm creating a style of a numbered list. The style show me no numbres, but plain bullet instead.

13. Object States panel - Renaming is not working

    InDesign isn't allowing me to rename the different states in "object layer states". I have looked this up and there are a couple of other people who have posted about the same thing. I am running InDesign 16.0.2 and its on a MacBook Pro running the OS BIg Sur.

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update to InDesign - InDesign 17.1 available through CCD app.

    Please note that you would need to update to the latest macOS Monterey 12.1 also to see this working correctly.

16. Font no longer recognized. FIX NOW......

    Prior to the InDesign 16.0.2 update, fonts worked fine. Now - fonts I've used for years (such as Futura Extra Bold) no longer work.

    This needs to be fixed. NOW..

17. when creating new document the bottom of that window doesn't appear

    I just downloaded Indesign but when creating new document the bottom of that window doesn't appear, so can't press "Create"

19. Share for Review -Disappearing tools

    I have Indesign 16.0.
    On my first test of share for review, all the tools appeared.
    after saving it they disappeared. Then I saw that save as function disrupts the process.
    Then I signed out of my account and rebooted.
    When I signed back in the tools were there again.
    I opened another document (made in InDesign 16.0) and the tools were gone.

    THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
    How do I get the tools to stay consistently?

20. [ID-4224415]Accessibility Tags order to match in InDesign and PDF

    Accessibility tag tree is not matching as per InDesign XML tag structure. We are doing more manual work to re-arrange the tag tree as per PDF view in Acrobat. We need to fix this bug in InDesign and match the tag tree as per InDesign tag structure for the accessibility PDF.
