Text color tint bugs (more than one bug!)
Changing the text colour tint from 70% black to 100% black in Paragraph Styles crashes my M1 Mac mini 100% of the time.
Trying to manually change the text colour is not possible because when I click on the drop down menu for colour and tint in the control bar, the menu either doesn't appear at all, or appears for a few milliseconds and then disappears. I officially cannot work on my document now. What to do?!

Copying a URL Hyperlink auto formats to a opening another indesign file
I've been having URL hyperlinks that are copied Document A into Document B are auto format as a shared location that is Document A. But all I want is Document B to have the same hyperlinks, and nothing I've tried will prevent "shared destination" as being the default. All I wanted is the an image with a hyperlink to copy into Document B as a URL. Instead I have random InDesign documents opening without warning and then indesign crashes. place file missing
I'm making a booklet identifying all 200 products for a client. I had been attempting to import 3-7 pdfs using the place function at a time. Show Import Options is on. Often one or two files will appear in the links list as if they were coming in with the others, but do not come up in the placing. They are in the links panel with no page number and no pasteboard indication. If I go back and place an item that has done this individually it will work. pdf export missing image
1- InDesign(17.0.1)
2- When importing this PDF file "Socredo.pdf" in an InDesign(17.0.1) magazine layout, then exporting it again in PDF, the upper background tatoo drawing disappears. This stays true even when trying different PDF export preferences.
3- The expected result would be to have the 2 pdfs identical visually
4- The file "105 Ecopol 2021-2022 Secteurs.pdf" is the actual result, with the missing upper tatoo background.

이러한 윗첨자들을 한꺼번에 선택을 해서,
한꺼번에, 윤곽선 만들기가 진행이 되어서,
한꺼번에 윤곽선으로 만들어지는 기능이 있으면 좋겠습니다.
이 부분이 가능해지도록 추가 기능이 설치되면 좋겠습니다.
또 마스터 페이지 기능에서
현재는 마스터 페이지 기능을 해체해서,
한 페이지씩 윤곽선 만들기를 해 주고 있는데,
이 부분에서도
한꺼번에 윤곽선 만들기가 기능해지면 좋겠습니다.

Share for Review - Public Recipients Still Can't Access Without Adobe Account
I'm using InDesign version 17.0.1. Using Share for Review, I was able to chose Public and send invitations. The recipients received the e-mail from Adobe, but if the recipient is on a computer without an Adobe account, when they click the button to access the file, it doesn't open - it will just spin for several minutes then display a File Preview Error . The instructions I have for Share for Review said that choosing Public would allow users without an Adobe account to access the file, but this does not seem to be the case. I first tested this…

scrolling causes screen distortion of document pages
Adobe Indesign 17.0.1 on a M1XMax 16" 2021 MacBook Pro. MacOS = 12.1
When scrolling through a document, the screen becomes distorted (per the attached video screen recording). The distortion becomes worse the more you scroll. Closing and re-opening the document is a (very) temporary fix but the distortion reappears almost immediately.
Theory: May be associated with using a 1x resolution on the screen display, rather than one of the 2x retina display resolutions.1 vote -
Type 1 error when opening InDesign file not reflected in Find/Replace Fonts window
I now regularly get a pop-up blue box error message regarding Type 1 fonts in the files I'm working in. Example: "Your document contains 6 Type 1 fonts." However, if I open Find/Replace Font dialoge, the summary at top of window says "Type 1 fonts : 0". That error message is annoying AND incorrect -- unless the Find/Replace Fonts window is incorrect. Can these be updated to align their messages?

wacom display
I just upgraded to a Wacom 32 tablet and am having this problem only in Indesign. There are random little grey squares all over the page - and not just the file window but the entire "artboard" area. Other apps are not doing this. I've tried zooming in and out, display quality settings, nothing has helped. And it's not an image issue - it's basically a display issue. I have no idea how to fix this and I'm almost rendered unable to do at least 50% of my job as I'm not just an illustrator but a designer too. The…

Return the use of "master pages" instead of "parent pages"
In the latest version Adobe decided that their job was to educate us to speak proper language, which is why the word "master pages" was replaced with "parent pages".
We do not find any problem with the phrase "master pages" and believe that it is not Adobe's role to dictate policy according to progressive agendas.
We demand to return to the previous concept of "master pages".
The term "parent pages" is confusing and misleading, with all the documentation of the software on the web for 2 decades referring to master pages.26 votes -
Share for Review Unreliable
I love the share for review function, however it is proving too unreliable to be used in a professional setting.
Here are the issues that my team and I encountered on a regular basis:
Review comment window is blank Updating sharing link freezes program Review page in browser won't load (spinning circle of death) Document in browser glitches and jumps around when trying to navigateThese are pretty serious issues that need to be resolved. I like the innovation, but in order to make it part of our process, reliability is the most important aspect.

Variable fonts: default face location included in style list even if not included in fvar
I sent a variable test font to Josh Hadley. It includes an fvar table that does not contain the location of the default instance. InDesign v17.0.1 on Windows will include the default location anyway in the list of styles for the font, with a made up name. Should it not restrict itself to what it finds in the fvar and STAT tables?

InDesign does not load type library on upgrade
Similar to the 2020 release (see https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/41072476-type-library-is-not-automatically-created-by-cc202), InDesign 2022 does not install the type library in upgrade. Please include this with the installation, as this will cause errors for many users.
Error message: Error: Unable to load Adobe InDesign 2022 Type Library (Version 1.0).

Unable to print using Separations with trap Application Built In
When sending a 2+ color job with trap to RIP via Indesign, I keep getting "Printing Error: The Adobe Print Engine has failed to output your data due to an unknown problem." This seems to be an issue with the last 3 versions, along with the updates. I've uninstalled print drivers and reinstalled. Deleted cache files. For a short time I was able to print using an older version on Id but its no longer and option. My coworker who is on Mac has no problem printing with trap. Not sure what's going on. Book file issue
Using ID 17.0.01 x64 on Windows 11, when closing all files, but not the .indb file, the files disappear and and screen reverts to the opening screen. Under Window, the book file appears and when clicking on it, the book file shows up in the upper left hand corner of the screen. Not where I put it at the top of the right panel. Plus, it shows the last file closed wasn't saved in the book.
Previously, the book file remained open, visible where I placed it, and the files were saved and showing saved.1 vote -
Certain images appear as grey boxes after PDF has been exported

Laptop Used: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GF75-Thin-9SX-GTX/SpecificationAll images in In Design document appear fully rendered however when exported to PDF some with the PNG file type appear as a grey box.

Saved document presets don't reflect margin settings
When creating a new document from a saved document preset, the margin is set at 0 all the way around.

On master page spread, items get applied to the wrong page
Say I have a two-page master, with facing pages turned on.
And say I have a rectangle spanning the top edge of my left page, and say the right page is empty.When I apply this master to a right sided page (thus using only the right side master), the left rectangle will be rendered onto the left page, even though it shouldn't (as the rectangle belongs to the left handed master, which isn't applied).
This happens when the rectangle is touching the spine, and it's probably rendered by indesign as being part of the right master.

17.0.1 crashes adding links
Every time I try to add or change a link in the links panel, InDesign crashes.
I restart InDesign and it tells my my file might be damaged. Do I still want to open it.
I open it. All seems ok. Try to change a link again, and InDesign crashes.
This is so frustrating!!
