  4. Horizontal lines appear on a regular basis

    Horizontal lines appear on a regular basis. Very frustrating. They appear when I scroll up or down, generally when zoomed in. I have to clear them with 'Hide Guides' keys (Command, semicolon key).

    Also, the 'Hide Guide’ feature is flaky when using the short cut command. The guides will not remain in the 'Show Guide'I mode. I then have to use the menu to activate.

  5. Bug: Table/cell styles don't define cell height and character format

    Indesign CC 2020, v17.1

    The dialog to create a new cell style doesn't have a definition for the cell height (value "At least" / "Exactly") like we find it in the table properties panel. Table styles also don't define cell height and that is all we can use. If you adjust the cell height manually and redefine the cell style, it's also not submitted. So there is no chance to format an entire table just by selecting a table style.

    I have issues with basic tasks in InDesign. I ordered a new MacBook Pro 16, M11 Pro, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD
    And just scrolling around in InDesign gave me the rolling spin.

    After updating to the newest indd Version and newest MacOs Version it did get better with small files, and moving a textbox worked finally.
    But working with a bigger magazine file with 50 pages is not doable.

    I ordered a second m1 pro (same config) as thinking it might be a Hardware Issue. Same result.

  7. InDesign window in fullscreen after escaping presentation mode

    InDesign version 17.1
    When entering presentation mode (shift+w), and then escape, InDesign windows becomes fullscreen.
    It would be great to get back to same size and position.

  8. InDesign publish online broken links and missing objects

    Have major problem with publish online, missing objects and links with question marks showing. This comes after 8 months working on this document with no issues at all. Really need this sorting by Adobe as I have to deliver project at end of this month latest.

  9. publish online failure

    When publishing online, objects appear missing, indesign drawn objects, text, placed svgs, etc. Shows a question mark where the object should be
    I'm using latest InDesign CC, have scanned computer for virus/malware, reinstalled Indesign, with no resolution of problem which started on 3rd March. Previous to this I've been using for 8 months with no problems Publishing Online whatsoever, been totally rock-steady.

  11. Stripped down workspace when opening document

    1. Using 17.1 x64 on a Windows 10 machine
    2. When InDesign is closed, if I double click on a file to open it, the program opens with a minimal workspace; no panels, no toolbar at the top of the screen, nothing. If I open the program first, and then open a file (either through the file menu, or by doubleclicking on the icon in File Explorer, the program opens with my correct workspace.
    3. Opening the program, no matter how I access it, should open with my selected workspace.

  12. Paragraph borders and shading

    Corner size and shape arrows don't work. You have to manually type in a value. I thought that in doing so it would activate the arrows but no.

  13. Drop Shadow is Very Buggy Within the App for Text

    The drop shadow effect is very buggy in the editor and has been for quite some time. I just dealt with it for the longest time but it seriously slows down production when I'm constantly having to "fix" it by making a change to the text then Undoing it (i.e. delete a character, then press Command+Z). The bug happens when Drop Shadow is applied to text and you scroll down the page a bit. The attached images show the before and after. If I scroll down the page after "fixing" it, it just re-bugs out. I work with white text…

  15. Home Welcome Screen Blank After Update on all Apps

    After the recent set of updates, Indesign does not show the welcome screen. When i try to create a new document (CNTRL+N, File>New>Document) the app hangs and i have to restart the app. I am able to open existing files, but not create new ones. Worked around the problem by selecting "Use Legacy New Document Dialog", but i would like to get my home/Welcome screen back.

    OS: Windows 10
    Indesign Version: 17.1

    PS: having the same issue on Ilustrator and Photoshop, although those two apps dont hang

  17. Cannot open file up. You may not have permission or the document may already be open.

    I wish Adobe would fix the issue cannot openn file up. You may not have permission or the document may already be open so people like me don't have to rename the file that wouldn't open up or change the location where the file is saved at all.

    InDesign 2021 randomly looses the ability to export or save. The dialog box won't even come up, even though the menu option isn't greyed out. This makes me loose all progress.

  20. Document Information disappearing InDesign on macOS Monterey

    1. InDesign 2022 v17.1
    2. Reproduce the issue: Create a text block and start typing.
    3. Expected result: you to see what you're typing / what has been placed on the page - all the information
    4. Actual result: the information I have put on the page disappears. I have to scroll away and back in order for the information to reappear.
