My InDesign crashes when I use the quick apply shortcut (command enter).
I use InDesign 17.1 2022 on M1 MacBook with macOS Monterey (all updated).
Any document I'm working with, when I hit cmd+enter for quick apply, InDesign crashes. I've been sending crash reports but haven't got any feedback yet.
it doesn't happen all the time but almost daily it crashes a few times like this.1 vote -

object size and position options doesn't work as expected for grouped objects
Currently if you use the size and position options in the object styles panel, it applies the x,y position to all objects individually in a group rather than to the group itself.
Anchored objects currently handle grouped objects in the correct way. This feels like a bug/oversight.
Would expect a group of objects to behave as 1 rather than being each item being treated individually within a group
Images attached of a group of objects before and after having a position applied via the size position object style option

Save as is greyed out, cannot save to computer
When app is opened, document can be saved to the computer just once, after that 'save as' is greyed out.
Using Indesign22 with Monterey. Am having the same issues with Illustrator 22 and Photoshop 22.Tried these already -
- Reset preferences.
- Removed Suitcase fusion and font doctor.
- Performed font cache and restarted computer.
- Validated fonts in font book.
- Installed 25.4.1 version of A but same issue. (Illustrator)
- Current Ai version is 26.1. (Illustrator)
- Issue is with creating new files. But same happens with old files.

Among the contents of the above page, "Smoother page transitions with swipe gesture improvements" is specified.However, the swipe gesture function works normally in IOS-based browsers, but does not work in Android-based browsers (Chrome).
Very inconvenient for Android based customers/clients.
To go to the next page, touch the bottom of the screen to bring up the navigation menu/button that disappears every time, and then press the "next page button". The customer/client should repeat this behavior on every page.
This is a very serious bug and must be fixed asap.

qr code card
made a card QR code. I can used every single field and it works fine until I add the address. It stops working. I am very concerned because I am working on this for a client.

color swatch
- Adobe Indesign 2022
- Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts>Panel Menus>Color: Add to Swatches>Assign a hotkey. Select a color and use the hotkey to assign a color in the InDesign document, and it will 100% of the time crash the program.
- Expected result is to have the selected color swatch created in your swatch library.
- InDesign will crash/close.

Safe a file or .PDF with MacOS Monterey 12.3
Updated my iMac (late 2015) to MacOS Monterey 12.3. now i can't safe a Adobe file and can't make a .PDF file…!
i can't work like this! have to put an older iMac version on it again…

"Tool" Keyboard Shortcuts (W, A, V, Spacebar Hand Toggle, "Shift+W") Not Working
ONLY the "Tool" keyboard shortcuts such as "W", "A", "V", the "Spacebar" Hand Toggle, and "Shift+W" are not working. All other keyboard shortcuts involving "CTRL" or "ALT" work just fine. It is the same on my Photoshop as well. I am using the "default" keyboard shortcuts in the preferences. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Indesign, and restarting the machine multiple times, opening InDesign with no other programs open, and other numerous solves on other treads.
My keyboard is not the issue, I am using a remote desktop for work and all of these shortcuts work fine on my local…

Opening a document now causes lag for about 30 seconds, where I have no control
- Version of Adobe InDesign: 17.1
- Steps to reproduce the issues: a. Open document from the Mac Finder. (This lag happens whether I start with InDesign open or closed. b. I have zero control of anything while a progress indicator spins for about 30 seconds. c. A font error dialog pops up, and then I can finally control InDesign, starting by dismissing that dialog. Bug: overwriting embedded objects with not embedded ones keeps them imbedded
Indesign CC 2022, v17.
Steps to reproduce :
1. open two documents which have the same linked file (image) embedded
2. edit the image outside of ID.
3. relink the file in one of two documents, so it becomes unembedded
4. copy the unembedded file to the other document, overwriting the same, but still embedded object/image.Exprect result: the object in the target document should not be embedded anymore and it should be up-to-date.
What happens: depending on how the files is placed (inside a table cell or not) ID will only mark it as "it has been changed" by…

InDesign 2021 PDF saving & exporting before settings can be applied
Running InDesign 2021 16.4.0.54
When connected to the 3rd party plugin, Agility I can export 1, sometimes 2, files the way I want, i.e. pg. 84 then all pages on another file. After that once I choose save location, the file immediately exports & is usually done by the time the export dialog box comes up. So if I want pg. 50, it's still looking for pg. 84 so it does all pages. Or it'll do all pages if that's what was done beforehand. lose keyboard shortcuts
InDesign 17.1 on 2019 MBP, Catalina 10.15.7
All of the keyboard shortcuts involving the "command" key stop working (command + spacebar, command + shift, etc.). This usually happens after leaving the app open for a long time (during a long call, lunchtime, etc.) and they don't work again until the computer is restarted.1 vote -
Direct PDF-Export in Data merge copies "page-1-text" to all other pages
In the linked video you can see a bug in Indesign 17.1 x64 on Windows 10.
Data Merge offers two ways to output pages. You can generate a merged Indesign-Document (works) and you can directly export to PDF.
The direct PDF-export doesn't work for me, because texts from page 1 get copied to all other pages instead of using each pages text.
The video shows the comparison between both methods and i just don't see a reason for what is happening.1 vote -
Anchored headings on even pages appear out of order in generated tables of contents
Using InDesign v17.1 on MacOS 12.2.1. On a 50 page document with facing pages, using custom positioned anchored level 2 headings that appear to the left of paragraphs and are aligned at the left side of the text frame. When generating a table of contents, the anchored headings on even pages appear before their corresponding level 1 headings. I've moved the anchored objects slightly inside the frame and changed the left margin but problem persists. When pushing this same text to an odd page and regenerate the TOC, the problem is fixed.

navigation
The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is visible as soon as we hit a key.
It is a bit annoying when you use this tool to make a presentation..

Pasting forced line breaks instead of end paragraphs (InDesign)
When pasting data from Excel, each row comes in with a Forced Line Break marker at the end, instead of an End Paragraph marker. This is a recent change within Indesign, as you used to be able to paste from excel into a table in Indesign, maintaining the proper rows and columns. Now when you paste in the same information, it doesn't recognize the end paragraph, and tries to put all the data in one row.
The same issue has been found when pasting text from Microsoft Word into Indesign - instead of End Paragraph markers, you get forced line…

Poor GPU Performance
With the GPU enabled, InDesign is very slow. (everything is slow, even typing text is very long...)
On previous versions I did not encounter this problem.
If I disable GPU acceleration, and use the CPU instead, InDesign is a bit faster.I use inDesign 17.1 / MacOS Monterey 12.2.1
on a Macbook pro 15" 2015 (Intel Core i7 2.8Ghz + RAM 16Go + GPU : AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 Go)

Share for Review / Hyperlinks not working
Hyperlinks are not working on Share for review, using image, text or even buttons. They work fine if you export the document as Interactive PDF. Already tried to delete the review and upload a new version, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone else have this issue?
