  1. InDesign 2025 (v20.0) is allowing me to open the same file more than once

    InDesign 2025 (v20.0) is allowing me to open 2024 v19.5 files more than once. It doesn't seem to be an issue once the file is converted from 19.5 to 20.0 but it's concerning as I edit files made previously.

  2. Crop Marks not displaying correctly with indesign 2025

    My bleed is set to 10mm on all sides, and I've clicked to offset the crop marks by 10mm also. In the exported PDF though, the bleed amount is included but the crop marks show to cut at the bleed line rather than the cut line if that makes sense! See screenshot. Please help - need to submit signage artwork today and would only take 2 secs to do if this would work as it always has done in the past!!!

  5. InDesign 2025 changes frame size while applying object style

    If you apply an object style with only height set in size/position tab, and inset spacing, the width of the frame changes adding the inset spacing to the width. For example: 100mm width frame (no style applied) and an object style with height set to 25mm and 5mm of inset spacing in both sides (left/right). The frame with applied style will result in 110mm width.

  9. In the 2025 version, all PDF presets with Chinese names are gone

    All previous versions of "PDF Presets" with Chinese names are gone.
    New "PDF Presets" with Chinese names will also disappear immediately.

  11. Indesign Beta 2025 Importing a PDF - baseline shift is off

    Opening up a PDF (which was orgincailly created in Indesign) in Indesign seemed to shift baseline shifts of body text to -4pt and then the super/sub/ scripts to -7.32pt?

    InDesign 20.0 (2025)
    Windows /macOS

    When I apply a preset or a newly created CMYK swatch to MathML, the color does not match the value.
    It appears to be CMYK via RGB color.

    Thank you for trying out the MathML feature in InDesign! The math objects created using this feature are placed as SVGs, and hence they exclusively support RGB colours.If you try to apply a non RGB colour (CMYK/LAB/HSV-based), then by design it is converted to RGB before it is applied to the math object. This conversion is designed to enable users to continue using document colours that are not RGB-based for the math object SVGs.

  14. [ID-4246352]NIKKUD (accents/diacritics) selection has become invisible

    InDesign version: v20 (both Mac & PC)

    Hebrew letters can use NIKKUD - vocalization diacritical marks (function like Vowels) under/above the letter.

    • In previous versions (-2023) it was possible to select only the NIKKUD (attached image) of the letter. (in order to specify the position of the NIKKUD using the Diacritic Positioning panel or to change color, etc.)
    • In the current version (2024-2025) the selection is on the entire letter, and there is no visual indication whether the letter or the NIKKUD is selected (attached image).

  15. Indesign opens on wrong screen with multiple monitors (Mac OS)

    This issue has been going on for years now. I recently updated to inDesign 2025, but it's still not solved for me:

    Expected result: I've assigned InDesign to open on my external monitor, just like all my other Adobe apps.
    Actual result: It completely ignores this, and just opens on my Macbook screen. The window resize buttons will be hidden behind my menu bar, so I have to alt+drag the window to make the buttons appear again. Then I can drag inDesign to my external monitor.
    I've seen posts going back to 2019 about this issue

  16. [InDesign 2025, 20.0.1][Win11 23H2]Installed ICC Color Profiles Sometimes Become Unavailable After System Shutdown

    My Win11 has fast boot disabled, so it gets completely shut down rather than just hibernated.

    Once I shut down the computer and start it again, sometimes all installed ICC profiles disappear from View > Proof Setup > Custom... > Device to Simulate

    They reappear after deleting the following files:

    1) C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Color\ACECache11.lst

    2) C:\Users<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Color\ACEConfigCache2.lst

  17. Working color profile vs Color settings

    In new InDesign 2025 v20.0 (on Mac, Sonoma 14.7.1), i have Fogra39 set in Color settings, still new documents are created with US Web coated v2 profile... It should work as in previous version: use Fogra39 for new documents, as is set in color settings.

  18. Punjabi / Gurmukhi character encoding errors after exporting to interactive PDF

    InDesign 2025 and 2024:

    Punjabi / Gurmukhi documents exported to interactive PDF have character encoding issues. Some glyphs cannot be read by screen readers or output to braille.

    After many hours of research and testing, it was discovered that exporting from InDesign 2023 does not create this issue.

  19. Share for Review does not update

    Share for Review creates a link but does not update content.

    Reproducing:
    - File created in InDesign 2024, Share for Review link created. Updating the content often showed a red "There was an error updating the artifact" error but would still update content in the link
    - File opened in InDesign 2025, where it was converted to a 2025 file. Comments from previous version carried over in "Review" panel
    - Clicking "Update Content" in Share for Review causes long loading icon. Once completed, it showed no red error, but the link did not update content. Upon third or fourth…

  20. automatic page numbering broken

    Indesign 2025 update has broken automatic page numbering?

    When I open one of my indb's the chapters page panels have the folios correct BUT the actual page section start at 1.

    I am having to use "start page numbering". This is yet another task introduced by a feature broken on an InDesign update!
