Bug d'affichage dans Indesign 2024 sur mac (sonoma) lors de la sélection de texte avec les règles affichées, l'écran scintille et devient blanc rendant impossible la sélection des texte précis. Ça fais mal aux yeux. Ce bug ne se produit pas sur PC.

open file multiple times

InDesign will open the same file multiple times. In the past, if you have a file open and accidentally double-click the file in the finder to open that same file, it'll just open the window that is already open. In the 19.0 update, it'll open multiple versions of the same file (only if the file is from a version pre 19.0 – pre-converted), which can create issues if changes are made to one file (and they aren't updated in the other). Paragraph Keep Options to "Start on next Odd Page" confused by Text Wrap
Noticed a strange behaviour with keep options. If Keep Options says to start on next odd page, and there is Text Wrap that makes the upcoming odd page unavailable the Paragraph may start will start on the next available text frame, even if this is on an even page. I would have assumed that the Paragraph would start on the next available odd page.
(How do we post a test file if we cannot attatch indesign file ot zip ? )

Tools are now blocking me from being able to close open documents in InDesign
Since updating to the newest version: V 18.5 the tools bar is now blocking the name and the ability to close down the first document. For accessibility reasons, I need the toolbar to remain on the left without blocking access to the document.

based on previous file
I love the review function. however I ususally base my work on another indesignfile and i always end up with overriding the review which is soo horrible.
fex file1.ind gets copied and the copied file becomes file2.ind. when i make review in file2.ind its based on file1.ind reviewlink. i change name and woops i messed up comments for the file1.ind cuz file2.ind ended up there. then the reviewfile is broken and i always get an error as a plus so i need to create a new reviewlinkI wish that everynew document would get blank there creating a new reviewlink…

Indesign 18.5 on MAC 13.5.2_conflicting fonts
Why am I getting different results than the clients pdf?
Using same fonts as client. The word IMPACT REPORT is different when I export it.
The clients font is Gotham Bold but when I open the Indesign, the font shows up as Gotham Distress even though I don't have that font in my Document font folder.

inDesign 18.3.0.50 often impossible to save document. Very annoying because to continue I'm forced to close the file / application and therefore I lose all the changes.

Pick an other page in a link
It would be great, when importing a file with several pages, to be able to quickly choose another page of the linked file in the links panel, without having to re-import the file.

Edited links do not visually update in InDesign 2024 19.0
When I edit links (mostly PSD files) and then update the modified links in InDesign the application seems to be updating them as usual, the graphics reload and the update warning symbol disappears and all seems fine - except graphically they have not changed. Graphically they are still their old version.
I've tried rebooting InDesign several times, and making more changes to the links to force another update, printing the document, etc. There is no preflight issues with the document, all links are up to date, but what I'm seeing is older versions.
The only thing that seems to work…

Installed system fonts not loading in InDesign
I have a font installed in my system which is showing up and working fin in Photoshop and Illustrator. However it is not showing up at all in InDesign. I have restarted InDesign, rebooted the computer and still not showing up. Putting my work at a standstill because this is a brand font that is needed.

Package-PDF and Export-PDF create different results
Mac OS Monterey 12.6 / Adobe InDesign 18.3
Function "Create Package" with a PDF and selected job.options (PDF Presets) creates PDF with wrong downsampling for images.
Function "Export PDF" with same PDF Preset creates PDF with expected quality
Why is there a difference?

Issues with epub quality on the new 2023 update
I'm a book publisher. I downloaded the latest InDesign update last week. I created the files and saved them like in the previous software. However, the vendors are all rejecting the epub files stating they're not validating in their epub software. I had to go redownload the prior version of InDesign, and it works like a charm. The glitch seems to be in the new version of the InDesign software.
12 votesFix for this issue is now available in the latest release of InDesign 2023 - that is, InDesign 18.1 version.
Please update to this version of InDesign to get the fix.

Word Import | BUG | Diacritic characters change language and formatting
Hi together,
if a Word docx or doc document contains text in italics that are not formatted using a character style diacritic characters will import to InDesign with:[1] Wrong language property. Instead of e.g. English (US) it will be Arabic

Nonbreaking Space shortcut doesn't work on mac
The shortcut for the "Nonbreaking Space" (option+command+X) doesn't work anymore in Indesign 2023 (and 2022). Clearing cache and preferences didn't fix it.
System: MacOS Ventura 13.2.1

Processing speed slow when printing pdf file
Slow Processing speed when printing PDF files created in Indesign. Using Version 18.5 and everything is up to date.
Has been an issue a little over a month after update. Have run tests using older files that have already been printed and a new PDF created from the same file. The processing speed when printing is doubled in the new file. Started trouble shooting on the printers and servers with no success.
The file size itself is the same only processing the file takes longer. Processing is done with Fiery E-46 A to a Ricoh Pro C7200e Graphics Addition printer.…
