  1. 18.1 tools greyed out except for type tool, cannot edit document

    Have searched all options on programme, checked other documents, then computer, finally shutdown and restarted. Still cannot access anything to do with any actions on the tool bar

  2. adjust layout not resizing all pages in file

    Why would Adjust Layout only resize the first 2 (out of 128) pages in my INDD doc? It's only happening on one file. all others resize all 128 pages...as far as I know, the file structures are all identical (they were copied from a master template)...

  3. Match pasteboard to screen color fails with dark theme under normal/preview

    I have the pasteboard (Interface/Appearance/Color Theme) set to the darkest of dark, and I have Dark Mode on. (Ventura 13.3.3, InDesign 18.2.1). In Normal (w) file, it's the darkest color I selected, but when I switch to Preview, Bleed or Slug (w) the pasteboard turns a light gray. I don't see anything under preferences to correct this.

  4. Tools Screen Mode buttons vanish

    In the tools menu panel, the screen mode button vanishes.... I turn off the tools and then turn it back on and things are happy... for awhile..... it's not a major pain but rather a nuisance... LOL.....

  7. File preview bug

    I've upgraded from InDesign v2022 to v2023 (18.0). When I'm saving files after converting them, the preview image disappears where it was saved with the previous version.

  8. InDesign Application Frame cannot be moved between desktops on macOS Monterey, via Mission Control

    The InDesign application frame cannot be moved between desktops on macOS Monterey via dragging the top edge of the window to the top of Mac desktop and then selecting a different desktop to drop it into in Mission Control. This is contrary to behavior in other programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. InDesign can be moved to a different desktop by dragging it to the left or right edge of the screen but it is preferable to have the functionality using the top of edge of the current desktop so the desired window can be chosen.   10. Indesign deletes text after crash

    InDesign would occasionally crash and delete all text I have in linked text boxes. what is the root of this problem. I can't undo it and have to keep redesigning those text boxes. why is this happening

  11. When adding a list to a Right to Left Paragraph, tab leader disappers

    1. InDesign (Middle East) 18.1.0.51

    2. In a Right to Left Text Frame type a few words in a Right to Left Paragraph direction, following by tab with a period leader definition and then type a any any number so you will get dots between the last word and number (like in TOC). See in the attached image. Selceet one of the list options (numbering or bullets) to see the tab leader disaapers.

    3. Numbers or Bullets should be added at the begining without change the rest of the text.

    4. The Tab leader disappers (see attached image)

    while I move a photo or any text, a black rectangle is created along the entire screen that prevents me from seeing what I'm doing, and it disappears as soon as I stop doing what I was doing

  13. Don't provide the GPU Performance menu for Windows

    It's outrageous that a giant corporation doesn't have support to GPU Performance for windows, when we sign the creative cloud plan doesn't shows that works differently in each operational system. Please, develop this functionality as soon as possible!!

  14. UI Artifact on Apple M1 Max with ultrawide screen

    Display Artifacts

    • Macbook Pro (2021)
    • Apple M1 Max
    • macOS 12.6
    • Display: C49RG9X @ 5120x1440 120Hz
    • App: Adobe Indesign 2023 v18.0

    Ever since switching from an Intel mac to M1 mac, indesign randomly display this artifact anywhere when I scroll thru my working document. Previous 2022 version also suffer this problem, it's totally random. Only way I can get rid of this is zoom in and out and the artifact will go away. (Screenshot blur out some element for privacy purpose).

    Also maybe this is also related to sleep & wake up of the mac on ultrawide resolution, after waking up…

  15. Opening a menu item such as preferences sets of the "error" sound in windows until the item is closed

    When I open a menu item such as Print or Preferences or Export, windows begins making the "error" sound as if you clicked in an inappropriate spot. The sound continues until I close whatever menu item I opened. This only started with the update to InDesign 2023.

  16. DAY 41 - Slow Publish Online document loading - Case ADB-25741223-T9S3

    This issue is now in it's 41st day since I reported. Also I've recently noticed that when I go to publish online, even that is slow now. Can adobe please sort this out as Publish Online is an important part of my business and slow document speed means poor delivery for clients

  18. Entire note is backlinked in ePub export

    In InDesign 18.2.1 when I create endnotes via Type/Insert Endnote and paste in the text I want in the note, the entire note becomes the backlink. Can't have external URLs in the note as the backlink overrides them.

  19. ?bug re bulleted lists in v18

    I have just opened an InDesign document I created in Aug 2022. I am now using InDesign v18.1 x42. It converted the document from Shivani.indd to Shivani.indd[converted], as I see it does when you open documents created in previous versions.

    However, all my bulleted lists are no longer bulleted lists, they are just text, with the bullet symbol and a single space at the start of each line. When I select the text the bulleted list icon in “Bullets and Numbering” is no longer highlighted. But more of a problem is that clicking on “options” in “Bullets and Numbering” brings…
