1. The Stroke Panel Table Cell Stroke picker box is adjusting other Workspace panels in its shared column

   My saved workspace has the Stroke Panel at the top of a column of panels and when I create a table and click into it to change its stroke, the Table Cell Stroke picker in the Stroke Panel expands. When I click outside of the table and the Table Cell Stroke picker goes away, the panels that expanded collapse, but other panels below stay in place. If this is done repeatedly, the other panels' locations/sizes would be altered permanently needing the Workspace to be reset.

   The video below shows what happens when the above described action is performed multiple times. Note this only occurs with the Swatches/Layers/Pages panels, this does not occur with the Character/Paragraph Styles panels. I have not tested this with any other expanding panels.

2. Problem with New File/PDF comments/Main windows: nothing there visable

   ID 15.1.1, Win10

   In this windows I see nothing, only the black window, one can see in the attachments:

   New File: no possibility to choose anything

   PDF Comments Window. Although the comments are visable in main text, I cannot accept them in PDF comments windows, because I don't see them there.

   The main InDesign window: when no file is opened, I see only black flat, no icons of previously opened files, as it was normally...

   Help me, please :)

3. BUG: spell-checker not automatically applied after pasting text

   When pasting text into a new frame, the correct language (german 2006 in my case) for spellchecker is selected, but not applied to the new text. I need to select the the text and choose a different language for spell-check and then change back to the correct language, then it works.

   A pain in the a**, if you have to copy-n-paste many snippets from different documents to single frames.

4. Paragraph-Borders are not wrapped in appropriate container - InDesign 15.1.2 (macos)

   To reproduce add a border to a paragraph style (not the frame, the paragraph) apply this to an existing paragraph and export to PDF. In Acrobat use preflight to check for pdf/ua compliance. You will get an error message telling there is a content that is neither an artifact nor a tagged content.

   To fix this in Acrobat, you have to select the "path" elements in navigation pane and apply an apropriate parent container. Reason for this behavior is, that InDesign places the path that renders the border directly in the structure without a container element. And this does not conform to pdf/ua.

   I added two files to this post. One with the error message in preflight, the second shows a textfield of a demo form, where the labels is created with a paragraph style with a top boarder line. The top-border line is then created as path without parent in the PDF.

5. Fonts Not Loading

   Font loading is sporadic in InDesign 15.1.1 on macOS Catalina 10.15.5

   Fonts that were working just fine yesterday suddenly won't load. I've cleared caches to no avail.

   This affects InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop... however, Photoshop seems to be hit or miss... sometimes they load, sometimes they don't.

6. Latest Indesign update changes text flow.

   InDesign 15.1.1.1 introduces a new error. Text flow in a long document with justified text changes. I am using Mac Mojave 10.14.6. When I reinstalled 15.1 this problem went away.

7. Incopy with Conditional text not holding

   I design electrical manuals in InDesign, some text is shared between books using InCopy. Some of the text is product specific so I use Conditions to turn that text off and on. But when I create the Condition in one book and then open the book with shared InCopy links, that text and everything after it is now that same Condition.
   I tried everything to fix this. The only workaround I found to work is making the Paragraph Return before the text I want Conditioned and leaving the Paragraph return after my text Unconditional will work.

8. Share for review Icon is hiding content.

   The share for review icon is hiding my text in InDesign.

   Often I get text updated and users place the icon on top of the words.
   When I want to update the text, it is very difficult to see the text to update as the icon is placed right on top. Would be nice if I could move the icon a little.

   You can click on the Eye icon at the bottom of the Review panel to temporarily hide the annotations and unhide them again by clicking again on the Eye icon.

9. Lao Line Breaking punctuation issues

   When I work with Lao text, punctuation marks do not stay with the line they belong to. As you can see in this attached file, the question mark is on the line AFTER the sentence. This happens even when there is enough space for it to be on the previous line. I have found this issue with other characters such as parenthesis marks as well.

10. Cannot remove hyperlink from image

    For some reason InDesign has no option to remove hyperlink from an image. It took me hours to search for solution until I gave up and deleted the image and recreated it with a new hyperlink. This is pathetic and needs to change. When you right click an image, we should see "Hyperlink" > "Remove Link". This is so basic, its really upsetting to have to post this here.

11. Wrong links

    I've noticed that whenever a file with links is duplicated on a different server, the copy will link to the images of the original file instead of the ones in its own folder if it can. If those images are modified in the copy, the changes will also appear in the original links instead of the right ones.

    This is a huge problem, because what the user think is their most recent version of a work might not actually be at all, which can lead to very serious mistakes, and as far as I can tell it's been going on for some time…

    The people that complain about their links going black might experience this problem without knowing it, because that happens on my duplicates when I cut the access to the server where the original is: the duplicate file is searching for the original links and doesn't find them, so it assumes it doesn't have any links, even if its own link folder is right beside it. It's only after closing and reopening InDesign that it finds its own links.

12. If there is white text on a colored background InDesign thinks there's nothing at all

    If there's only white text on a page but this text has a colored "paragraph shading" ("Absatzschattierung" in German), InDesign does not recognize this color and thinks the page is still empty.

    I reported this in the old "wish form" about four years ago: https://rainerklute.de/bug-report/

    The dialogue shows a way to solve this but why is it not implemented?

13. Page numbering is broken

    Since the latest update (InDesign 15.1.2) you can no longer change the page numbering to roman numerals or a, b, c etc. When you make a new section and change the style of numbering system - nothing changes. You can also not make a page have a new number - for example change page 10 to page 20, it will remain as page 10. These are very important features of InDesign and need to be fixed as soon as possible.

    Step 1 - Menu - Layout - Number & section options
    Step 2 - Change page 1 to style 'i, ii, iii, iv ...'
    Expected result - pages numbered i, ii, iii etc.
    Actual result - no change
    Step 3: Change page 11 to page 1
    Expected result - page 11 is now labelled as page 11
    Actual result - no change

14. [15.0.2.323] Big problem with unrecognized user dictionaries

    macOS 10.14.6 - multiple computers with us and with customers

    We noticed today that extensive user dictionaries are recognized as such by the existing documents, but InDesign (current version) completely ignores them and thus incorrectly hyphens them.

    In a special case, a very extensive user dictionary is linked as a symlink (alias) from the Dropbox into the corresponding Linguistics folder in Application Support / Adobe. So far, this worked wonderfully with all versions and has the advantage that adjustments are automatically distributed correctly via the Dropbox.

    I tried the following:
    the symlink resolved and the extensive dictionary (a lot of entries, 1.4 MB) locally as an independent user dictionary in the above Folder placed (added.txt). As a result, InDesign became extremely sluggish - even renaming to .udc didn't help. It was no longer possible to work and large documents could no longer be opened without InDesign reacting after a while and having to be "shot down".

    We have now rolled everything back to v15.0.1, as well as our customers who are working with us on projects with these dictionaries. No problems and InDesign 2020 v15.0.1 works as expected.

    Since this misconduct is absolutely not an isolated case here and can also be observed among all customers involved, a pretty bad bug has crept in with v15.0.2, which makes it impossible for us to work with the latest version.

17. Drop shadow on typed word. Edit the word, the shadow won't change. Have to turn shadow off then back on again.

18. CMD+O (Open File) STILL Doesn't Work in 15.0.3 on first launching InDesign

    This still hasn't been fixed!! When first opening InDesign 15.0.3 CMD+O just gives a 'dead key' beep, and it doesn't bring up the 'Open File' dialog. You must use the MENU to open the first file. After you have opened a file from the MENU, the CMD+O will then work. PLEASE FIX, for us long-time users this is painfully annoying! I have reported this in previous releases.

19. page pallet

    1. Indesign 15.1.1 and earlier versions - English supporting Hebrew.

    2. When I create a document with binding right-to-left the page pallet numbers are blurry and hard to read this is not an issue when the document has binding left-to-right. See screen video and screen shot attached.

    I am using Windows 10 latest version, but this has been an issue for many year now

20. indesign CC 2020 15.1.1 not recognizing font

    document will work fine, then randomly a window will pop up saying that it is missing a font that I have been working with. Restarting Indesign usually works for a brief amount of time
