1. Indesign CC Crashing when assigning character base style to a child style by script.

   Indesine crash evry time i try to assign base character style when the text in question have child style. So i have "Product" character style, and "Bold Product". Text field have Product style on it from get go. Then i use script to edit this field and after that i construct new string and put it in field. So I assign first part of content to field, use Bold Product style on it. Then second part the name of product and I want to assign Product style to it, indesigne crash evry time i try to do it. No matter how i try to assign this style, by whole tkst, by part of text, or by insertpoint. Only way to do it is to define a diffrent style based on Product, for example ProductScript. And it works as intended.

   This isint some crucial problem, but belive me, after 4h of tinkering with it is just... no comment.

3. 2021 variable font not printing

   InDesign 2021 v 16.0 when I use the Acumin Variable Concept font in any style it doesn't print. I have no errors on the document just blank boxes where the text would be.

4. table of contents very buggy

   i think i know how to use indesign cc's table of contents feature, but it doesn't seem to work as advertised, or demonstrated in numerous videos. i cannot get the revisions to the toc paragraph styles to effect changes in the toc itself. despite the revised and selected paragraph style showing the new redefined settings, the toc only changes what is highlighted (not the rest of the elements in that style) and then reverts back to the original display on update. will be faster to just design it as a text block, which i don't think is the point. anyone?

5. CC Libraries

   InDesign 16.1. CC Libraries gets stuck. I cannot select any pictures Editing is only possible again after a complete restart. After a while it gets stuck again.

8. Certain overrides on Objects Styles do not hold when synchronizing Book

   Overrides on Objects Styles when synchronizing.

   Object styles: I have all the overrides (that I tested, such as background color, type of stroke) holding, BUT the XY coordinate. (position of the object on the page)

   When I hit sync, all the overrides hold, including the size of the object (which is in the same Style menu), but not the Position. This means all the objects with the Style on it jump to their default position, resulting in a bad mess.

   My imperfect solution is to remove the XY position from the Object Styles — I want to be able to sync, but can we please fix this?

   I tested this in cc20 and cc 21

9. cc libraries

   In 2021 update, the cc libraries freeze and are unavailable. I tried to delete something from my library 3 times, and nothing happened. Then I closed the window, and when I reopened it had deleted three things.

   Anyone else having issues with libraries with the new update?I know the 2021 update is still really new, so if this is already being fixed I apologize.

10. Phonetic tie and World-Ready Composer

    I'm seeing a behavior that I believe to be a bug. When I have a phonetic spelling with a tie character—for example, d͡ʒ"—using Indesign's paragraph composer, Indesign renders it as three characters—d + [tie] + ʒ. When I change to the world-ready paragraph composer, however, InDesign joins the tie to the character before it such that it can't be moved. I tried using a non-joiner between them, but InDesign just joins the tie to the non-joiner.

12. InDesign 16.1 and MAcOS 11.3 Big Sur

    After the update to Big Sur, InDesign is very slow, the cursors have delays to change states. Very difficult to work with.

15. Why the strikethrough & highlight functions are hidden?

    Why are the strikethrough & highlight functions of share for review hidden?
    Hi. I was really looking forward to the ability to use the Share for Review feature. I find it an immense help for reviewing and proofreading publications.
    But when I start using it, the strikethrough & highlight functions do not appear in the browsers.
    However, looking in more detail, I see that the options are there, but they are hidden.
    I attach images
    Can you tell me how to solve this problem?

16. Wrong swatch color for color using hsb values

    I'm using InDesign version 16.1 on Mac OS X 11.3
    When setting a color using HSB values, the color which is created is wrong.
    In the screen shot I added you can see two swatches, both have the same related values.
    One is set via HSB the other by RGB.
    The HSB preview is totally wrong.

17. Issues in rendering some Assamese conjuncts

    The Assamese 'reph' and 'rakaar' are not properly rendered while using the Assamese font "Banikanta", a font released by Govt. of Assam in India. The font can be downloaded from http://www.publicationboardassam.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Banikanta.zip

    The font works well in all the other tools and platforms including MS-Word, Libre office etc.

    Being associated with the development of this font, I have seen that the issue is seen due to the problem of the improper rendering of Adobe InDesign. In this font we have skipped the mapping of Bengali "Ra" (U+09B0) to construct the 'reph' and 'rakaar" as it is not used in Assamese and instead used the Assamese "Ra"(U+09F0). But even when Assamese “Ra” is typed to form the “reph” or “rakaar”, Indesign converts it to Bengali ‘Ra” and since we have not mapped the Bengali “Ra” to “Reph” and “Rakaar”, it doesn’t not display in the desired form.
    
    Moreover, there is another problem. When U+09AF BENGALI LETTER YA (antaḥstha za) occurs as the last member of a consonant cluster it has a special shape called ya-phalā. But in Assamese ya-phalā shape should occur only when U+09DF (Yya) occurs as the last member of a consonant cluster. The font has this provision, but Adobe InDesign fails to render it correctly.

    The problem can be reproduced in Adobe InDesign CS6 (Version 8.0)

18. Unable to ignore color in a paragraph or character style

    Command/Ctrl-clicking on a color in a paragraph or character style to ignore a color previously set used to work but now it doesn't.

19. Some objects won't resize randomly

    I'm fining with this latest version that some objects, particularly text will only resize to a certain size. See my screenshot - this is a 1x3 meter banner and I cannot size the text any bigger than what you see on the screenshot it just snaps back. I know for a fact the text is nowhere near Indesign's maximum size as it's 150pt. I can manually change the size of the text to 500pt plus but this throws the layout off. I'm absolutely sick and tired of these constant bugs in this programme.
