PDF Preview Issue/Transparent Objects Missing
PDFs set up for print are missing transparent objects in the image preview. Opened file looks normal and prints fine. It just throws my client off in a big way and that's NOT fine.

Column Rules will NOT overprint when option [x] Overprint is checked and color is NOT [Black]
Use a swatch like CMYK 0,0,0,100 or CMYK 0,0,0,90 or CMYK 100,0,0,0 for a column rule and turn on overprint.
Overprint attribute will not applied to the column rules.
Tested with InDesign 17.1.0.50 on Windows 10.

Adobe InDesign opening files as read-only
I am using InDesign v 16.2.1 on a MacBook Pro (Intel) running Big Sur (11.3.1) and connected to a file server on the network via the SMB protocol. Also I have Sophos Endpoint Protection installed. When attempting to open a file on the file server, InDesign opens it in read-only mode. If I attempt to do the same with Sophos turned off, the file opens read-write. It appears that other InDesign/Sophos/Mac customers have experienced the same issue:

switching between open files
Version 17.1
Every time I have two ID files open (or more than one file), switching between them takes approximately 30 seconds. This has been happening on and off for a few months, but now happens every time I have more than one file open.4 votes -
Font disappears when size of text is changed
When working in a text box and changing the size of the font, the text disappears altogether. If I change the font to a different one, the text reappears, then change font back to the one I used originally and text disappears again. (For example: changed font from default myriad pro to Ultra--text still showing; changed font size--text disappears; change font to Roboto (or anything else)--text reappears.)
No matter position of text box, size of box, size of font, changing to overprint view, nothing makes the text reappear except changing the font to something else. Font/text is also missing when…2 votes -
De-Stick Alt Key After Zoom
When I press and hold the ALT key (Windows) to zoom with the mouse wheel, it doesn't release the way a sticky key should - once finished with mouse wheel zooming, I have to tap the Alt key a -second- time to release it. Not doing this results in the menu bar becoming active. Example: Press and hold Alt and zoom with the wheel. Finish zooming and release the sticky alt key. Now Tap the letter W to enter Preview mode ... but instead of Preview Mode, InDesign will drop down the --W--indow Menu, tapping W again then drops down…

Share for Review strikethrough & highlight from online edits aren't visible in InDesign
InDesign Vs. 16 Share for Review: if the reviewer uses the strikethrough text or highlight option, I don't see these in my indesign doc. I can see the strikethrough text on the browser version, but the highlight disppears completely. The review comment is in both places, just not what it's referencing.

ID 2020 15.1 - All text variables (including page numbers) replaced by "ss" text
Just updated to ID 2020 15.1 and found a bug which makes the program unusable forcing me to immediately downgrade.
When I open on of my ID documents created in previous version of ID, all of my defined text variables as well as page numbers are corrupted and replaced by the "ss" text. Changing the style has no effect. I can create page number based on the 'Basic Paragraph' style but when i choose any other previously created style, the number changes to 'ss'.
Even the variable field preview shows 'ss' text instead of variable name.

DEAR ADOBE!
I have a problem with Indesign that can not display images in high-resolution-mode.
All pictures turn black and striped. The problem started after upgrading to Monteray 12.4
I have already been in contact with your support via chat for two hours.
It looked promising, but when they then restarted my computer via remote control,
I lost contact with you and have not been able to give feedback since.
I am VERY disappointed and want help with this as soon as possible with someone who speaks

copy
Allow normal use of copy and paste with system-wide shortcuts from PDF comments. Most of the time I try to copy text from a PDF comment to paste into a document, the selection disappears and no "copy" option appears. I need to be able to copy and paste text from comments as easily as any other text. This issue is seen in 17.2.1 on an M1 iMac running Monterey 12.3.1.

overprint
Overprint in my currently installed versions of INDD (17.2.1) and AI (262.1) is unpredictable. I have ust received feedback from a client, that the date on a recently printed flyer is illegible. It is overprinting on a dark background, but in INDD the element is not set to overprinting. A screen PDF from the same INDD-file is completely normal. I've had this happeining in a couple of INDD-documents since the last update. I have had the same issue with an AI document this week as well.

object size and position options doesn't work as expected for grouped objects
Currently if you use the size and position options in the object styles panel, it applies the x,y position to all objects individually in a group rather than to the group itself.
Anchored objects currently handle grouped objects in the correct way. This feels like a bug/oversight.
Would expect a group of objects to behave as 1 rather than being each item being treated individually within a group
Images attached of a group of objects before and after having a position applied via the size position object style option

Redefine Character Style not available
When changing the parameters of a selection that has a Character Style applied, the 'Redefine Style' should become available in the Character Style's contextual menu. But unfortunately, this is not the case.

Cross reference broken by InCopy
A text element with cross references is added to an InCopy assignment. (The cross reference utilises the paragraph number - just in case, this should be important.)
After editing any text (not part of the cross reference source itself or the target paragraph) in InCopy, the cross reference is broken in InDesign. Same, if you change the target paragraph.

Appliquer des gabarit à des pages selon des conditions
Bonjour, après de longues recherches, je remarque qu'il n'y a aucune possibilité d'appliquer des gabarits selon des règles (présence de texte, grep, présence d'image, pourcentage du bloc de texte rempli, présence d'un style, etc.) à des pages spécifiques (à la première/dernière page, entre certaines pages, fonctionnement similaire au grep, etc.). On pourrait réaliser cela en donnant plusieurs gabarits à une page et donner des règles pour choisir lequel appliquer (avec une option pour choisir les pages de manière dynamique).
Pour ma part, je cherche désespérément un moyen dynamique et automatisé de cacher le folio/numéro de page lorsque que c'est une…1 vote -
On master page spread, items get applied to the wrong page
Say I have a two-page master, with facing pages turned on.
And say I have a rectangle spanning the top edge of my left page, and say the right page is empty.When I apply this master to a right sided page (thus using only the right side master), the left rectangle will be rendered onto the left page, even though it shouldn't (as the rectangle belongs to the left handed master, which isn't applied).
This happens when the rectangle is touching the spine, and it's probably rendered by indesign as being part of the right master.

InDesign Share for Review @mentions are not sending emails to the contributors
People are leaving comments with the @mention option but the @person is not receiving those comments in email so they don't know that the comment was made.

Adobe cloud app - Preferences under account - Notifications tab just spins
I open the Preferences pop-up under my account image. I click on Notifications tab but it just spins a blue circle and never shows me anything. All the other tabs in this pop-up work fine.
