1. Copy Info: File Name

   Would love to see an option added in the 'Copy Info' dropdown in the links panel for copying only the filename.

   Super handy for searching old drives for images in large catalogues or for relinking etc.

3. view style dependencies

   This has already been suggested but I would like to add.
   The problem with viewing style dependencies using the twirling arrows is that the styles might well be in different groups.
   Could we get an option to open (and maybe print) a panel with the style dependencies listed?
   See the F11 panel in LibreOffice for an idea.

   Interactivity, LIVE while using InDesign - Object States and Buttons that work at ANY time - ala AE 'Essential Graphics'.
   There is the potential for InDesign to be a powerful QC authoring tool in our industry. We apply technical charts over the images which designers have created, like pitch/checker-decks. We need many different aspect ratios but repetition of the overlays and much of the info. We previously had over 90 layers the user would need to make visible or invisible - this is tedious and antithesis of good UX.
   Essential Graphics in AfterEffects is somewhat close to the idea we seek.
   InDesign is ALMOST there with ObjectStates, but these also require layer selection and a chunky workflow.
   Wiring ObjectStates to Buttons and Forms is exciting - but does not work in the ACTUAL INDD DOCUMENT - so it's not a solution.
   There's so many clever ways to solve the problem by building custom control panels with the Interactivity, but none of that function is available INSIDE OF InDesign - and exporting to EPUB/PDF is useless because we need to drop dozens of images into the pages.
   There's a precious chasm that sits between InDesign and XD that could be bridged - find some way of EMPOWERING AUTOMATION, allowing the creation of better/custom UI/UX, which builds better tools for the creators, not just end user product for display.
   This is valuable because it extends the function of InDesign to become more of a tool for making tools for others, rather than just a tool to make static, re-baked product.

6. Multiple strokes like Illustrator has

   InDesign should have the ability to have more than one stroke on an object the way that Illustrator does. I've wanted this multiple times and now it's come up again with a design that uses a filled frame behind a headline and also a stroke inside the bounding box of the filled frame. To make this design efficient in production, the ideal is for this to be one object with the type in the center, the stroke a controlled distance away and another stroke that is the same color as the fill outside the first stroke. See attached screen shot. Combine this object with the Auto Size feature for a text frame, and you have an object that can be quickly repurposed with different text while automatically maintaining the proper distances between type and first stroke and between the stroke and the outside of the frame. Currently it has to be two objects and if the type needs more that one line, the height of the background frame has to be adjusted manually.

   In Illustrator you use the Appearance panel to keep adding strokes and change characteristics. In this design it's super easy to align the first stroke to the inside and the second stroke to the outside.

   Another solution is to add a characteristic to stroke alignment: align to inside with an offset or in this case you'd call it an inset.

   InDesign should have the ability to have more than one stroke on an object the way that Illustrator does. 7. nest pages

   The pages panel is the most ridiculously cumbersome thing in the world!

   I make digital planners and regularly work with documents that are over 2k pages long- there is SO MUCH SCROLLING OH MY GOD
   Please make pages nestable where we can group them together and expand or hide as necessary like photoshop layers folders.
   if designers are working on a book there's absolutely no need to see the entire book all the time - being able to work chapter by chapter is so much easier to manage than scrolling for a month!

   Also the scrolling in the pages panel is equally cumbersome it either crawls or shoots down 100 pages.

   If you can do this with photoshop layers I don't see why this very sensible convenient workflow can't be applied to indesign.

8. Save gradient swatch angles to object style

   It would be nice to be able to save angles that you draw with the gradient swatch tool to the object style. I find it strange that we can save gradient feathers at any angle, but not gradient swatch tool angles.

9. Cmd K should create a Hyperlink

   I find myself constantly hitting Cmd + K when trying to add a hyperlink in InDesign and always going "GAH!" because that keystroke opens the preferences panel.

   With InDesign trying to be competitive in the online publishing department, I recommend using the same keystroke most other programs use (Google, Word). Even if it's not the same quick command, hyperlinks should be easy to add.

10. Make the start/end of a stroke highlight when you choose an arrowhead for the start/end in the Stroke panel

    It is very frustrating when applying an arrowhead to a stroke when you don't know what InDesign calls the start or end of that stroke. It's not so bad when you've drawn a straight line but a number of times, we edit shapes to create complex lines. Then it's a case of trial and error as to which end you place the arrow (and most of the time, typically, you end up choosing the wrong end. I know there is the ability to swap these but it would be useful if when you hover over either the start or end drop down boxes it would highlight which end of the line you're going to apply the style to.

11. Book :: Tell when someone else has a chapter file open on OneDrive

    I know that if you store the INDB file and the INDD files on your server, InDesign allows multiple people to open the same INDB file simultaneously. In that case, the Book panel has a rudimentary feature that will tell you when someone else has one of the chapter files open. Can we add this functionality for people that work off OneDrive Locations? With every one working remotely we can't be VPN'd into servers due to file lag.

12. Same color management in all adobe product

    This will be a great feature for simplicity and collaborative work.

    Actually, each program have a different system for choose color, and I'm sure you can improve that with give the same logical and features in all program.
    Import photoshop palet in Indesign or Illustrator and vice versa...
    Add the Color them Tool in photoshop and Illustrator...and maybe why not in After Effect and Premiere...
    Sure you can do something great and identical in all your great products, even if you have not need CMJN/Pantone etc.. colors in video projects.

13. Allow character style to affect tab leaders

    I applied a tab leader in my paragraph style in order to force dots to appear between my text and page number in my table of contents. However, there is no way to style those leaders. InDesign manual says: To change the font or other formatting of the tab leader, select the tab character in the text frame, and use the Character panel or Type menu to apply formatting.

    This is fine except when you have a really long table of contents and want to format each tab leader. I chose a smaller dot by choosing a light font and had to manually change each line. A lot of work! Can we have a choice of style or character for the tab leader like we do for bullet point marker?

16. ID to create animated gif for social media.

    You already have the animation panel for ID to PDF in the software. Please extend this so that ID can create graphics for social media posts. If we can do this for PDF, please extend the privilege to gifs. Thank you.

17. Share for Review comments link to incorrect spreads on web viewer after reordering pages in InDesign

    I am using the new Share for Review feature to get feedback on a 100+ page document I am working on. Previously I tested reordering pages on a small document, and all comments and pins stayed attached to the page they were originally placed on, even when its page number changed.

    However, after adding some pages to this larger document, I'm running into a problem where the comments are pinned to the correct page inside Indesign, but the wrong one in the web viewer. On the web, it seems to ignore the added pages and goes by the original page number of the comment.

    In the attached example, the comment was originally on page 100, but that page was pushed to number 105 as extra pages were added earlier in the document. In Indesign, the pin appears on page 105, attached to the image mentioned in the comment. On the web, the pin appears on the wrong page.

    This problem started while I was using the previous release, and updating to the latest (14.0.3) hasn't helped. I have updated the link multiple times. Thankfully, even after restarting indesign a few times, the comments remain in the right place inside of Indesign.

    If anyone has a fix, I'd really appreciate it! Otherwise I hope that Adobe can fix the issue soon. Thank you!

    Give the Paragraph and Character Styles Basic Character Formats dialogue the ability to filter like the Character panel in the Properties window.

19. Tool to check for if Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints are being blocked by firewall

    For those of us deployed in large organisations with indifferent IT departments.
    It would be useful in Adobe provided a tool to check which of the (100+?) required Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints were blocked by our firewall.
    It is not always clear which endpoint is being blocked.
    If Adobe provided a Creative Cloud App or web tool that checked your network and then provided a nice report we could present to the stubborn IT bods (who insist they have whitelisted all 100+ adobe links)

    (let not get started on why there have to be so many! Or why therer are regional variations? AWS? but why wasn't this considered and written around appropriately?)

20. Edit all Export Tags for all INDDs of a book (INDB) in one place

    In order to export a book to EPUB, I need all export tags (classes) to be perfectly consistent even if the styles they are assigned to aren’t (and deliberately so, which is why they can’t be simply synced via book sync).

    Currently there seems to be no other way than to open “Edit all export tags” from the panel menu in every single INDD of the book (which of course is already a huge progress compared to opening every single paragraph and character style).

    Please let us edit the export tags on book level for all INDDs of a book. Similar things work (well, seem to have been designed to work but sadly don’t under all cirumstances) for TOCs and indexes. The command could sit in the book’s panel menu next to the sync and numbering options (“Edit export tags for all book documents” or the like).
