Option to replace a master page that is being deleted with a different master page
When working on long documents, especially while using the book feature, it would be helpful to have the option to replace one master with another. So if I want to delete "Master A", a dialog box would say "Remove Master A and replace with: [list of other master pages to choose from]".
Currently if I want to remove a master page and replace it, I have to go through all 900 of my pages and apply the replacement master.

I've needed to do this multiple times in my work as a book designer (authors often change their minds about size and layout!), and each time I have searched for a way to do this, to no avail. Please add this feature. It works great when replacing para and char styles. But it is really, really needed for master/parent pages as well!

Why on earth isn't this a thing yet?

I would also love to have this feature for long documents. What I've been doing in the meantime is:
1. Unlock and delete all items on the master page I'm replacing.
2. Copy all items from the new master page.
3. Paste in place on the new page.Obviously, this creates its own new set of tasks to take care of, but I feel like it's more efficient than manually replacing the applied masters on an 800-page document.

I'm doing layout on a 350-page text book, and it would be great to have this capability. Wish it was here already. I have to go through my whole doc and replace all these master pages manually.

I need this too--this is an easy engineering fix and would help long form projects.

Did you ever figure out the answer to this...I have the exact same need.
